I went to purchase a bed at Ruby Gordon since I have always purchased my furniture from thr in the past. Sooo I gave the sales guy my budget and yup he talked me into doubling my budget to get this Mack Daddy mattress set. Its very nice so far. The day I went in I couldnt pull the trigger due to the fact I was way over budget. Since I live 35 minutes away I sat with the financial guy and had the $$ part done. He said as long as I call before 4 pm he could have my super bed to me the next day. I got home and spoke it over with my honey and we agree to get it. I call my sales rep to inform him that we want it and he tells me I need to come in and sign paperwork! Im like WHAT? Im NOT driving back thr hence the reason I set up the financial part before I left. I was told I have to come in. Well I said sorry u just lost a sale and I called Raymour and Flanagan asking about thr beds and while on the phone who is beeping in but Ruby Gordon. I call Ruby Gordon back and my sales rep tells me I pulled some strings and we can get the bed to you tomorrow. Yeah well that is what u told me when I left Grrrr. Okay onto delivery day. The box spring comes in and they removed the plastic with tags still attached to the box springs. The mattress was removed from the plastic (which I was not present for) and no tags are on the mattress anywhere. I was so excited to get the mattress I didnt think anything of it. I signed my paperwork and away the movers went. I went to check over the mattress and saw where the tags were cut and it had a dirt spot on the side. I called Ruby Gordon and my sales rep was busy so I spoke to the guy who took my information for the credit. I advised him the tags were all cut off the mattress and he said no big deal I will put it in your file. I waited about 30 minutes found a black mark on my door, paint missing off my banister from the movers and a large dirt mark on the side of the mattress. The light bulb went on and I realized this mattress had been in someone elses house!!! YUCK! I paid full price for a new mattress. I called back and my sales rep took this very serious thankfully. He called me back to set up for new delivery. I explained I get out of work at 230 pm and can be available for the rest of the day. We went back and forth to delivery on Tuesday, then Saturday but I would need to be home in the morning. I told him Im off Sunday and Monday. Again he came back with Tuesday. Ugh like this is my fault I have a very expensive mattress that someone else slept on. FINALLY after a couple of times on hold my sales person comes back again and says I pulled some strings and I can get u a NEW bed tomorrow for you after 230pm. Really? Well thank you for getting this used bed out of my house! I hope they didnt have bedbugs! Next day comes and about 4 pm the guys show up. I watched them remove the mattress from a big box, cut off the plastic and deliver it carefully to my bedroom. These guys didnt leave any marks and were super careful. I laughed when I walked in my room and I could smell a NEW mattress the last one did not have that smell. Im happy now that I have my bed but what a ride it was. I understand that I couldnt get the replacement mattress the same day BUT Ruby Gordon should have just said we will get it to you the next day. I should not have had to be put on hold multiple times and then come back with well we pulled strings and u will have tomorrow. I like Ruby Gordon cause its big but a family owned thats why I go thr. Just a let down.

We purchased over $3k in furniture in November. Thats a lot of money for us. We selected the pieces we did specifically because the tag advised the furniture was chemical free. We understand thats not a big deal to a lot of people, but it is to us. When the furniture was delivered months later, there was no chemical free tag. We called and spoke to George, the sales manager. I cant describe how unhelpful he was. After talking to him twice, he would no longer take my wifes call. We just wanted an answer about the chemicals. It got to the point where someone would tell us "sorry, he stepped away" or "hes out right now" or "hes at lunch." It wouldve been funny if it wasnt so frustrating. Finally, after trying to contact George daily for a week, my wife spoke to David, the office manager. David was much better. We still dont have an answer about the chemicals, but at least David said he has both called and e-mailed the manufacturer and is waiting for an answer. It has been a month and we still dont know if we can keep the furniture, but at least we finally connected with someone at Ruby Gordon who is making the effort to help us. Given our miserable experience with George, who would say or do anything to get us off the phone and then finally stopped taking our calls, we wont be shopping at Ruby Gordon again. Probably not coincidentally, we know of another customer who wont shop at Ruby Gordon again after negative experiences with George. Thanks for your time. UPDATE: David Warren, the Office Manager, went above and beyond to help us out. When it became clear the furniture we originally purchased was not chemical free (which was the main reason we selected it in the first place), David agreed to take back the furniture and help us find new selections that meet our criteria. David called the original manufacturer for us and remained in constant contact with my wife. He then spent two hours at Ruby Gordon helping us make the new purchase. The trade should occur in about six weeks when the new furniture is delivered. David was a pleasure to work with and helped remedy a bad situation. My wife getting the run around from the first person she dealt with after the purchase keeps me from giving out five stars, but David Warren was great. Ruby Gordon is lucky to have him. I sustained a back injury a few years ago and now need a lot of lumbar and neck support when sitting or laying down. My husband took me to Ruby Gordons to look for a new recliner that wouldnt require multiple pillows for the correct support. George was our first contact, he took the time to explain a good fit for a chair. He showed me several models until I found myself sitting in one that felt perfect and found myself having a great conversation about life. I was so comfortable and he was so pleasant that I forgot I was in a furniture store until my husband tapped me on the shoulder and asked me if I was comfortable. I found the chair!!! While we were there we decided to just look at other furniture for future purchases. George introduced us to Ron who was soooooo nice and understanding. He at no time seemed bothered that we were indecisive. He listened to both my husband and myself with our needs and showed us several different pieces. When it came time to pay we were assisted by a great customer service representative whose name was Chris. He asked how our experience was, made sure that all of our questions were answered and he and Ron both went over the paperwork with us assuring that we read and understood everything BEFORE allowing us to sign any paperwork. This was very refreshing as most places try to cover up the fine print. Overall excellent experience at the store. Since we were a pick up we were able to take the recliner home. Once getting the recliner home and being able to sit in it I was a little concerned as every muscle in my body was beginning to hurt then I realized that it had been so long since I have been so relaxed and comfortable that my muscles were finally relaxing for the first time in years. I have never written a review before but I have read plenty when considering a purchase. After reading some of the reviews on this page I realized that I probably shouldnt rely on others reviews because it seems people dont take the time to write good reviews, but watch out if something wasnt to their liking. Thank you to everyone that took care of us at Ruby Gordon. You have no idea what you have done for this tired achy person. It was nice to wake up this morning with no pain for the first time in years!
