It has been a long time since I felt the sting so sorely of dealing with people who are pidgeon holed by my job is done when the sale is rung mentality. Bought a floor model couch that was going to take 2 weeks to deliver (my home was only a few miles from the store). The LA-Z-Boy delivery logistics were described in salacious detail, including the pre-delivery call I would receive announcing the window of time delivery was to be made. When I received a call saying delivery couldnt happen because the couch was still at the store, I suggested the store find a local delivery contractor if they couldnt get "their" process to get the item to me. I had "policy" quoted to me as a reason that they wouldnt do anything. I tried to escalate my concern and potential solution but that too - was against "policy". BS. The bottom line, they sure knew how to say "sorry" but did not know how to take accountability for NOT getting the item on the delivery truck. They did NOT care in the least when I said, ok I have to cancel, which I did. I am absolutely amazed this store is still open. Horrible. I was lured by the LA-Z-Boy name, but will never be fooled again. What truly is LA-Z is their attitude toward customer service and pride in the brand. (PS : There is a delightful furniture store in Warrenton Va. called Rankins and I recommend them.)

Im sorry the previous reviewer had such a negative experience with La Z Boy in Gainesville, VA. We had a wonderful experience--the sales lady was very helpful and spent a great deal of time with us. We knew what pieces we wanted and she shared many options with us. She showed us what was unique to each piece, the construction, and how to make adjustments. We have had two pieces delivered so far, and the delivery department called the day before with a 3-hour delivery window. Both items were delivered exactly when indicated the previous day. The delivery men were very courteous and professional. Our sales rep called in advance of our third delivery and inquired how my husband was feeling because, at the time we visited the store, we had learned that he was very sick. Ask for Tammy--shes the bomb!

Bought a La-Z-Boy recliner approximately 2 years ago and the back of the chair started to wear. Purchased upon their insistence an extended warranty which did not cover the issue with my chair. Contacted La-Z-Boy Customer Service to see if they could provide a fix. They told me that they could provide the material to fix the affected area and it would cost $400 which is nearly 2/3 the value of the purchase price of the chair. I told the CS representative that i would no longer be a La-Z-Boy customer. So much for being an American made product. The product is inferior and customer service is misleading. You are better off going to another furniture company.

Remember the scene from Pretty Woman where the salesperson wouldnt wait on her? I was amazed how the couples were treated in the store while I was ignored. The sales woman greeted others with the sales speech and showered them with attention. I was alone, in sweat pants and did not sport diamonds per loosing my husband to cancer this year. Was my appearance such that I didnt look like I was going to spend money? To quote the movie "You work for commission? Big mistake, big mistake" I was a guaranteed sale, even sat on the couch for about 15 minutes waiting for a salesperson.

Absolutely not thrilled with our customer service, not to mention you only get 10% off when the product is a special order - not the 20% they advertise! I ordered at the end of April, they told me 6-8 weeks and 9 weeks later and they are saying I will not get my chairs and loveseat now until week 13! Liars & the manager cannot call you back when they say he will. Hes never there when you call, but when I ordered eveything he was standing right there...HHMMM not taking calls for some reason??? If you can avoid shopping here, I would, Im cancelling my order today!

I have gone here about 3 times over the past year. They provide terrible customer service and walk away when they see someone they think will spend more money. They treated me as if my money wasnt good enough. When I wrote corporate to complain they pretty much told me too bad. This is one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had.

Terrible place- went in looking for a coffee table and was followed and assaulted every 5 minutes by a rude and pushy salesman. will never go back to this place.
