I purchase the lift recliner for my disable mother along with the extended warranty. I have been trying to make a claim due to the motor in the recliner. Also, when I purchased the warranty I was told it would cover burns along with a lot of other things. So with the coverage that was being offered, I decided to purchase it. Well, I can say they are not willing to hold their end of the deal up! I have purchased many, many warranties and never have I came across a problem as this. Also, when I purchased the warranty I was never told that there was a 5 day window on burns. So, the warranty company is not willing nor will they cover the problems that my mother is having with the recliner. I spoke with La-Z-Boy this morning and was told if the warranty company will not cover certain problems that I could pay one hundred plus dollars to have one of their people come out and fix the problem. That is not to include parts and labor! I feel like I was totally mislead on the warranty! I will never deal with this company due to the issues I am experencing! I paid 1500.00 for a lift recliner here, when I could have went anywhere else and purchase the same thing for 5-6 hundrend dollars. But due to the name and the great reputation I was willing to pay the extra amount knowing I would have a great product. This had taught me a valuable lesson that just because it cost more it doesnt always mean its better. So, if you buy from La-Z-boy make sure you read the fine print and I would never recommend this company to anyone nor would I recommend purchasing a warranty from them.

The stuff is nice but beware of their "huge sales". They mark up the price by 25% then take 30% off so you essentially pay full price. If you look through the tags you can find the original price and make the manager take 30% off of that price. A little snooping can save you some big bucks. Once you get it home, hopefully nothing is wrong or you will pay big again and dont expect any help from anyone at the store because they already got your money and could care less about you after that. A screw in my chair wore through the wood making it lopsided. I called the customer service and instead of investigating, they sent me the frame. You cant set up a service until the part arrives, so minimum of two annoying phone trees for one problem. They want your CC number to charge $120 before even setting an appointment. Im pretty sure that a sane person would not pay for a service before even knowing when it will happen. The conclusion to the story is that with a small piece of wood and a new screw the chair is good as new but their policies cost them my money and made me ambitious enough to figure out my own solution.

Received ad with 30% or 40% off with free grilling set. Went to store and man at entrance said I didnt need the coupon, that everyone was getting "the deal" and ad was to get customers in the store. Purchased recliner but did not receive grill set. Was told they ran out but would receive one when more were received. Did not get a call so I called corporate customer service and was told they were first come only although the ad did not indicate this. Paid $1200+ and after discount and added charges for delivery, warranty, cleaning stuff that we thought was included etc. paid $1200+ and as a previous post indicated they probably had marked it up for the sale. Absolutely worst buying experience I have ever had. They are sales oriented and if they cheat their customers out of a cheap grill set should not be trusted with hundreds or thousands of dollars purchases. BEWARE

I was unable to talk with a live person, although I waited on hold for 8 minutes!! EIGHT MINUTES!!! If the staff behaves in this manner when they are, or should be, in a selling mode, what could I expect customer service to be AFTER I bought from them? Ill never have an answer to that question because I hung up and will not waste time with another call.

Poor service, understaffed and management that doesnt seem to care. Cannot comment on product or price since I was never able to get a price and will not do business here. Go somewhere else. My wife went back. Price was 40% higher than Basset. Stay away from this store.

Dont EVER buy the Ultra Shield Protection Plan from laz-y-boy..What a WASTE of money. Ultra Shield does whatever it can to NOT provide coverage when you need it most. Anything you do to immediately clean up the stain will void the warranty! What a waste of money.

Ask about added delivery charges. All furniture is delivered from warehouse in Maryland. The "huge sale" really isnt a true sale.
