We are firm believers in shopping local whenever possible. When we needed a new refrigerator for out new condo in the city, we turned to Charlotte Appliance instead of big box sellers (Home Depot, Lowes) and national chains (Sears). Our prior experiences with Charlotte had been generally good but didnt require installation. Going to them this time has proven to be a disastrous mistake. While the sales department at Charlotte was quite helpful to the point of the sale (they disappeared after with no follow-up), the install and our life with our new highly rated Frigidaire refrigerator has been horrid. While the install team was on time, and seemed to do a decent job, closer examination says otherwise. The doors, which they had to reverse on site, have been misaligned from day one. The freezer has repeatedly frosted over, prompting two calls to Frigidaire and two independent service visits. The first technician pointed out that the freezer seal was not properly installed. The second technician(from a different appliance service company) removed the seal, attempted to realign the freezer door and properly balance the machine, and noted that the protective plastic had not been fully removed from the door. It still frosts over (as have we) and it is now our hope that this is just a lemon, compounded by the rather poor installation by Charlotte. And dont try to call Charlotte if you dont have your salesmans name, their phone system makes it difficult to get any assistance, not a place you want to be. We may shop local in the future, but not at Charlotte Appliance.

WELL HERES ONE THAT ISNT POSITIVE! We bought a new Efficiency Washer from Charlotte (later we found out the top-loaders are a very bad buy and are poorly rated by consumer report and all other experts in the field of testing but that not the problem) What the problem is on their return policy. Their add state that within 30 days you have a full return policy. NOT TRUE if you dont have the original packaging it came in and who saves that if you didnt know? We tried to return the poorly operational washing machine and theyll do it for a $100 restocking fee and a extra $ 50.00 pick up and delivery fee (that because we didnt have the original packaging). None of that is printed in their return disclaimer. After this, we are never buying any thing more from that company and are telling our very large family not to buy there. We are also telling anyone who will listen also. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!

My experience with the store has been positive. I have bought numerous appliances and furniture from them. Prices are very competitive. Sales staff is generally helpful although I do agree slightly with previous comments about arrogance, mainly in electronics and appliances. My main issue is with the service company they contract with. They are just plain awful. Took three calls to get them to come to my house. First, they had forgot they had an appointment scheduled. Second time they had no knowledge of me or my problem. I will continue to shop at charlotte but will not hesitate to look elsewhere as well.

It was a pleasure working with Rich Ayers who found me exactly what I was looking for: electric ceran-top range, matching microwave oven and counter-depth refrigerator. The GE slate-surface product line is exceptionally attractive, totally smudge-proof and super easy to clean. Installation of all three items was done perfectly neatly in tight, difficult spaces by Rob Grezcyn and the Charlotte installation team. - Since 1972 I have bought appliances and furniture from Charlotte Appliances and have never been disappointed with their service.

My wife and I ( just like our parents ) have been life long Charlotte Appliance customers. Over the past 40 plus years we have bought all of our appliances and furniture exclusively from Charlotte and there was a reason for that.......service after the sale, which is why I think they outlasted so many other appliance stores. They have always stood behind what they sell......lets hope that is not changing...its what sets them apart from the rest.

Well salesman told me 2 check the width and height to ensure my fridge I purchased would fit I did so and once they delivered fridge it would not fit delivery guy did measurement and said it wouldnt fit they didnt even take it off the truck just took it out of box Charlotte charged me $260 to restock it because they would have to sell it "used" such bull will never shop there again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Recently visited and purchased a couch and ottoman from Charlotte furniture. We absolutely love them! Our salesperson was so helpful. It was important for me to purchase a couch made in America. She helped us pick out the material and told us everything about the couch. The furniture was delivered when stated and I am very happy with our purchases. We will enjoy them for years to come.

Peter and I recently purchased a motorized recliner. We are extremely satisfied with this product as well as the staff who work at Charlotte. Being on sale at the time helped us to decide to go further and order the motorized version. Also having the additional insurance will be extremely helpful in maintaining longevity.

What can I say your the best. My wife and I purchased a refrigerator for a house warming gift for our daughter. Since we use to live in the area (Latta Rd) you were our place to purchase our needs. Since we moved to Largo, Florida we dont get the same service. Wish you were here. Your family always took the extra step.

I purchased a washer that is now out of warranty and when I asked if they thought 5 years was about as long as the washer should last, they said "we dont make them - we just sell them"....very poor service. Buying my next washer somewhere else!

I have had a good experience at Charlotte. They are professional and helpful. Their repair vendor, County Wide Appliance repair, is unprofessional and rude and this may influence my decision to buy from Charlotte in the future unfortunately.

The customer service here vs HD or Lowes is worlds apart, you cant compare. The employees are great, and what they sell isnt junk, if you dont want those two things, then go to Walmart or the other two box stores.
