Horrendous customer service. Yesterday went to go pick up a new tv " Samsung 60" not cheap and the guy helping me goes in the back and next thing i notice hes dragging it on its side as he comes up to me. I asked him if thats how youre suppose to carry the tv and he said, " Na makes no difference. The box protects it." So whatever i decided to disregard his carelessness. So i finish my purchase and came home. The next day i decided to call because i was curious as to if the tv included 3d glasses. So i call up and a woman answers and i asked her if the tv came with the glasses and she asked for the model number. So i told her let me look at the box. Just as i finished that sentence, she asks to put me on hold. I told her no problem. Can you believe that i was on hold for over 35 minutes! Are you kidding me! She never came back on. I wound up hanging up and called PC Richards And they answered right away and answered my question in literally less then 5 minutes. I will never shop at best buy again. They will never see me support anything they do again. I dont care if there giving things away. If you want quality service and great customer service i suggest you look past these guys.

I received my Samsung Galaxy s4 phone that could not be turned on after activation. Went to a Verizon wireless store which informed me that the phone seems to be defective but since I purchased the phone from best buy I would have to go to a best buy store. I then drove all the way to a best buy store, waited in line for 30 min to speak to someone from the mobile department. they told me they would replace the phone but that I need to drive all the way back to my house to bring back the original packaging. I was already frustrated that Ive been without a phone for several hours and that no one could help me so I told them I would be returning my phone for a refund, this is ridiculous. When I got back home, I decided to do a Google search to see if other people had the same problem Ive been having and hoping to find a solution. I did and was able to fix my phone on my own no thanks to Verizon or best buy. I will never purchase anything from best buy again because of this horrible experience. I will also make sure to warn all my friends and family. Never again!

Just getting home from Best Buy and im not to happy.Brought a Laptop from there yesterday for a good price [$279.00 including tax].Received a email this evening saying 50% off,so wanting to get one for my middle child i thought i thought this was the perfect opp.Arrived at the store there were only a few left, great.Went to the register explained that i brought one yesterday whats the 50% off price.Guy at the register scans the box and tells me the same price i paid yesterday.I showed him the email on my phone and he acted surprized,i read it to him to be sure he understood and he said 50% only on certain items.I asked him to show me the items that were 50% off and he just stood there. I knew i had him so i went on to say let me pick a Laptop from that group. He finallysaid theres really no sale its just to attract cust-. Brought a lot of stuff from Best Buy and use to trust them, not anymore. It seems like there just as greedy and crooked as the smaller stores.Shame on you Best Buy for deceptive ads around the Holiday, youre just like the rest. Shame on you.

I dont get what all the bad reviews are for?? I never had a bad experience with the bestbuy in west paterson. I recently ordered a Compaq laptop online and had it shipped to the store. I was in and out I also bought an Insignia tv and was in and out. Almost everyone I know shops there and we never left the store mad. The people that work there are just normal people looking for a job not a career so chances of actually getting someone that knows anything about an item are 50/50. Its just like any job you get a job to pay the bills. As for the warranty issues I dont know about that I bought both a warranty for my tv and my laptop but I guess I wont break it on purpose to get a free upgrade ;) My buddy and I went to bestbuy he bought an xbox 360 with the warranty and they were more then happy to help him out. The problem was solved in the matter of minutes and that was that. I rated the store 4 stars and not a 5 cause nothing is perfect nor is anything expected too be.

i purchased an i pod and was told it had a accidental protection coverage. when it accidental got damaged i went to get it warrantied. and the manager on duty Jenifer blunt told me "tough luck if you want a new i pod your going to have to buy one" and said it would not be warrantied cause it was neglect and not accidental. when i spoke to the store manager Walter Jessup he told me that he will not do anything to rectify the situation and said his employee handeled the situation accordingly. So apparently "handling the situation accordingly" is to tell the customer " tough luck if you want a new i pod your going to have to buy one" Moral of the story dont shop at the west Paterson n.j. best buy store # 468 and if you do dont buy the warranty

Customer Service was absolutely non- existent. Standing at the geek squad counter I stood there waiting for someone to help me while the two gentleman carried on with a personal matter right in front of me... later when it was necessary to contact the store by phone, I was hung up on, put on hold in the middle of my sentence, and basically treated as if they do not want my business. This includes the "manager" who was suppose to contact me back and didnt. Extremely unprofessional. And this is not including my dissatisfaction with the "black-tie service" they call rapid exchange because that is not necessarily the stores fault. Head to a different brick&mortar like the one in Secaucus...these guys in Woodland Park just dont get it.

This is one of the best places to visit. I needed an adapter for my online connections, I met this associate his name is Pedro, he is a nice gentlemen who helped me a lot. This one product he recommended me to purchase was $ 60.00 dollars, so I asked him if they have a similar product online with a lower price? He said "we dont, however you can go radio shack and they are selling similar product for $ 30.00 dollars" I went there to purchase the similar brand that I saw on Best Buy. These guys are working for commission based in Best Buy, and for him to give me his honest opinion it made my day. I recommend everyone to visit this store, sometimes they might be busy, however, they would give you some of their time to help you.

Its Best Buy, the employees all give different answers, the computer section has people that dont know VGA cable from a USB, HDMI, 9 PIN ETC. All they know is what is in sale, ask about the Windows Pro Tablet vs a Laptop, Notebook and observe the confusion. Go to Microcenter, Best Buy is best confused. Minimum Wage gets you just subpar help. Thats not good enough however ask about video games and they know that. Finding it becomes a different story hahaha. Sorry Best Buy, even your geek squad are guys paid to use words for confusion, ask about a Megabyte vs Gigabyte and they dont know. They have your computer fixed by out sourced crew.
