We came to this location because of the low tax and boy did we pay for it. We had a coupon for $100 dollars off of a $1000 purchase. The person who helped us check out clearly did not know what she was doing. She did not scan about $300 worth of products. Then she repeatedly called the wrong number for customer service. She then gave us a invalid receipt to show customer service our "purchases." We waited for half an hour for customer service to finally help us. Her name is Yesika and her verdict was that we did not spend $1000 but only $942. I have absolutely no idea how she got to this conclusion with the receipt right in front of her because with a simple calculation she would have seen that the total was $1011.65. Upon telling her that she miscalculated she saw her mistake but didnt apologize at all even though she wasted at least half an hour saying we did not reach $1000. Some of the staff here are extremely lazy and unprofessional. However there were definitely some employees who were willing to help us out.

Do not ever purchase a kitchen from Home Depot, or specifically this store. This has been a 4+ month long process for me. Ever since the start there were delays, plans took forever to finalize with numerous required trips to the store, the cabinet delivery was late (no notice) pieces came damaged and took forever to get replacements (one never showed), their customer service is non-existent. The countertop installers never call back to book the appt., took me a week of calling 2x a day to get somebody on the phone, then after then measured and came back to install, a piece was cut wrong, another 2 week delay..... Mercedes, the customer service rep at the store, was the only responsive, helpful and kind person during this process. I would not recommend to anybody. Also, double check your receipts, although this is a 3.5% sales tax zone, I was charged 7%, took forever for them to refund me. I am a very unhappy customer and will be going elsewhere in the future.

I dont often shop at HD very often anymore because of several bad experiences. These bad experiences have been with this store, other stores, installation service contractors and corporate themselves. I try to use my local hardware store our Lowes now but this HD is closer to my home so sometimes I still come here. This particular store is one of the worst for getting any type of assistance. No one is ever around and when you do finally get help, a lot of the staff are lazy, rude, and have no knowledge of their products. This is not true with all the staff as some are very good, very helpful, very knowledgeable and do a great job assisting customers. The problem is you rarely find them. 3.5% sales tax is a bonus. Homeless people trying to hit you up for money in the parking lot is not.

Customer Service is HORRIBLE... whether in-store or by phone. VISITED Totowa store to make appointment to have floors measured for a floor installation - was given a card and told to call "tomorrow to speak to a specialist." Went home and CALLED Paterson store a day later, was put on hold to wait for an specialist to answer phone. The call bounced back and forth to the operator during the first 7 minutes and who finally stopped picking up and just left me holding for 21minutes before operator came back. This time I asked for a supervisor (Javon) who had just come in and "did not even know who was working in the department." I was promised a call back.... really? This is consistent with other visits and phone calls. I will be moving my purchases to Lowes instead.

Why do I go to Home Depot? To gather supplies for projects big and small. The convenience of this particular location is without a doubt the only reason I chose to shop here to begin with. Having been here 10+ times within the past year, I can assure you that the location is sincerely the only reason for anyone to want to shop here. When requiring assistance, you will mostly likely need to explore the store to find an employee that will be of little to no help to you. Once you gather up your supplies, which I promise you will take at least twice as long as it should, you then have the pleasure to go wait on a line that is never going to move. Ever. Overall this store is a catastrophe. If you like waiting for no results, then this is the retailer for you!

to those who complaint about un polite and poor customer service, this is not a mall, u go there having some type of knowledge of what u need and once u are there you will compare what u are looking for to other selections they offer, instead of complaining to the world tell a store manager of your concerns that same day and they will do everything in their power to please u.its happened to me plenty and the store manager takes car of it. For the most part the older employees do take the time and share their trade secrets with u. love to go there, always stocked with items.

Incompetence on steroids!! Went here to buy a grill to take advantage of the 3.5% tax, and oh boy did i pay for it. Long story short, I wasted four hours of my life over the course of two days and ended up going to another Home Depot because they(Paterson) had the grill I wanted in stock, but couldnt find it. The woman literally asked me "when were you hoping to have this grill". When I said "today" she laughed. No one is knowledgeable and make sure you stay on top of someone who says they will help because they have a tendency to go missing.

Great place to get everything for home at once: any tool, something for garden, or for housing stuff. This place is huge and very busy so sometimes it takes time to get helped that is ok. Staff could always help you with your questions, keys duplication is fast and easy. They have incredible kids workshops every month. Self-service encounters are good when the store is crowded. Seasonal decorations are great and could be found here the way in advance.

Total dump. I worked at a different Home Depot for 5 years. Let me tell you, this place is an embarrassment to Home Depot. They do hire gangstas, and other equally disinterested and lazy people to fill the store, if you can find them. Always disorganized and filthy. I dont know how they get away with it, we had to keep stock and store clean. Panhandlers in the parking lot, just fabulous. Go to Lowes up the street for a better experience.

This is the worst Home Depot ever specially the Renting Dept there is a guy called Terry he over charge me $6 for Gas and I already filled the Tank with $40 to the full line and my contract wasnt marked where the gas line was He said they dont have to mark your contract they tell : by mouth thats so funny .. he even discussed my case with another customer in store like a little child and called me to be a man and go fill the tank

Worst service ever had. Employees are lazy and un professional. We bought some stuff from here they need to deliver but 2 weeks gone they didnt deliver. We tried to contact them they hold phone line for long time. Every time they laid to us. They saying theyre trying to get the stuff from other locations or product is coming. We gave up on them. Then we got those products from other Home Depot nearest location from here.
