I bought a 2015 Odyssey a few months ago and the sales process was nothing but wonderful. The sales representative was courteous, prompt and informative. I wish I could just review that part separately because the guy deserves 5 stars. My wife and I went in on a Tuesday evening and less than 1 hour later we were paying the deposit. I like the car a lot although I had discovered that it is in no way shape or form close the level or design and quality that European cars generally exhibit. Now the funny part: going in for the first oil change and service the experience was and still is something Id like to give ZERO stars but I cant hence the 1 star review. The girl punching in the computer my info seemed bothered that I was there, I was hoping it was because she did not have her coffee but I guess the whole Service Department (should not be called Service) specializes in Delivering Customer Happiness...NOT. There were several things that needed to be taken care of (still not taken care of) I would consider them minor for this is a car and certain things may not be perfect yet, the most important thing was the fact that the windshield cracked around the rear-view mirror console. I first noticed a fine straight line around the console and thought is the sun-blocking inside patterned sticker not being perfectly stretched but with the seasonal changes in temperature and perhaps vibrations from driving conditions, the crack extended and amplified. Ignoring what I think its evident and irrefutable, the service manager Anthony Lopez tells me that he did the "pen test" and it looks like a rock has caused the crack. Yes, after telling me that he has extended experience and worked for BMW his expertise is...a "pen test". I dont know how whether this should be funny or outrageous and I know they do get away this stupidity but it still baffles me that one could ignore all other evidence that points to a manufacturing defect (perfectly straight crack following the contour of the rear-view console = virtually impossible, the crack starting in the center and extending on both sides including the one where expert Anthony did the pen test and its actually a recent development, etc) and state that his "pen test" indicates some sort of impact. I had then called the service manager several times to have this further evaluated and I am now waiting for him to coordinate a meeting/inspection with "his Honda guy" who comes in occasionally; I was advised that I was unreasonable from the beginning for not buying in his baloney. Allegedly a customer needs to make his/her schedule around "the Honda guy" whos very busy. My wife and I have a 6 month old child at home and I have to travel a lot and now I have to wait for the Honda guy to see if his experience consists of a "pen test" or something else. I hope Ill have to edit this review and add a happy ending note and I do plan on pursuing this legally if it is not addressed in a reasonable, responsible and timely fashion. This is ridiculous to say the least. 02/20/15: I am adding to/editing this review because the problem stated above was fully addressed and DCH Academy Honda should get credit for it. Anthony came thru and coordinated the windshield evaluation with the Honda rep, ordered and installed the replacement and was very courteous, attentive and prompt to all the issues I had pointed out to him. The reason this is a 3 stars (neutral) not a 5 stars is because claims should be evaluated in good faith and DCH should not rush to reject reasonable ones; the experience was positive in the end but not flawless. I will however give them another try in the future, maybe this was just an rare mishap.

From the moment, I spoke to them over the phone, the very first time I went to the dealership I experienced nothing but people who were ALWAYS SMILING , friendly and warm from the heart who welcomed me and were very upfront and honest about everything they said unlike EVERY OTHER DEALERSHIP, I have been to. These people are absolutely amazing !! They really love their job and they know it better than anyone else !! All the other dealerships just try to get you to commit to a deal without offering good customer service. Every other place I visited was not even remotely honest or respectful like the good folks at DCH Academy Honda in Old Bridge. Miranda the sales specialist took my appointment over the phone eagerly and was waiting for me at the reception desk even before I arrived. She then referred me to Andre Yulfo .... To describe Andre in just 2 words: Salesperson Extraordinaire !!! He didnt even act like a Salesperson. He took the time to describe all my purchase options HONESTLY without any kind of pressure whatsoever. I knew beforehand exactly what color and model of car I wanted to purchase and I made my offer and he went to speak to Mr. Akram Ali (my capable Sales Manager !!) and came back with THE BEST PRICE I FOUND after searching the market for quite a while both online and in person. No other dealership beat their price. It took me a couple of hours to think about it and I was under no pressure and after I agreed to the deal the GREAT SERVICE DIDNT END THERE !!! They located a sparkling brand new 2014 Civic at another dealership in the exact color I picked and had it ready for me as promised on the date they specified. Then came another surprise .... They even threw in a Genuine Honda Trunk Liner, Wheel Locks and mud Splash Guards in the wheel wells absolutely free and WITHOUT ME EVEN ASKING. When I went to sign the paperwork, Andre and Akram took the time to explain everything to me without any hurry. Then Andre took me to my new car and stood for a long time explaining every single feature in it without losing patience. And after all the paperwork was slowly and thoroughly explained (without any pressure or rush to sign) , Akram the manager came back out again to say Goodbye and all in all the service was ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIC . They are the most respectful, honest and customer friendly dealership I have ever seen and they seem to have the most awards for excellence in service than any other place too !!! Thank You so much DCH Academy Honda. Theres no better place to get your next Honda !!

I am revising my post here as a caution for all my fellow car buyers deciding to head to this dealership. Id give this dealership a zero rating if it were possible. I first purchased a Honda Civic from DCH in the last week of December 2016. I was given a defective car, which I reported before driving it out of their campus. I understand thats bad luck. However, the dealership exhibited zero accountability for their lack in conducting a thorough check of the car before handing it to me. Despite my reporting the issue right away I was "talked into" taking the car home. I went back the next day when they told me after making me wait for about 5 hours that the defect could not be resolved for about 15 days. I was offered a car swap, which I accepted. I was given an old car that had been lying in some remote dealership for about a year. They did not provide any compensation for the inconvenienceand kept blaming the manufacturer. Within 2 days, I got a tire-check alert. They had not cared to check tire pressures. I was made to wait for 4 hours just to get air filled in the tires. They disabled my tire monitoring system (which I found out today after 6 months). Today I got a flat tire. When the mechanic started changing the tire, he asked for a "key," which the dealership had not provided for either car, and so it had to be towed and driven to the closest dealership (Open Road) to perform a minor tire change. I have had to pay about $200 despite being covered by a "bumper-to-bumper" Honda Care and Insurance coverage. I was told that I should have opted for Wheel Protection because "bumper-to-bumper" only covers non-electric damages. To summarize, think twice before you head to this or any Honda dealership to buy a car. Be prepared to pay about $2000 (these are collected over the period of ownership) on top of the actual car cost only for "additional protection." "Bumper-to-bumper" coverage is a myth. I understand that I may have had a streak of bad luck, but this dealership and Honda as a car manufacturer showed complete lack of accountability toward their errors and definitely worsened my car-buying experience as well as all post-sales dealings with them. One more point about the high 5-star ratings that you might notice for DCH. The sales person Michael Cislo persistently kept persuading me to give a 5-star Google review, but he did not provide any assistance when I faced with the above-mentioned issues. I am absolutely disappointed with this dealership for all the inconvenience caused.
