I started out wedding dress shopping at Kleinfelds, which the staff was great but the dresses cost more then I was comfortable spending. When I went to a more affordable and popular bridal store I was disappointed with not only the service from the staff but the quality of their dresses. My sister suggested Curvy Bride located in NJ, and I have to say, I am so happy that she did. I cant say enough good things about this place! The store was very clean and organized, with a varied array of options, and it was intimate so you didnt feel like just another bridal appointment. They listened to what I said and pulled three dresses and the first one I tried on was perfect. They made me feel so special and beautiful. Michelle and Paige helped me on my three visits and were just so sweet, pleasant, and encouraging, and they made great recommendations for both my veil and bolero jacket. The customer service was equal to that of Kleinfelds and the dress I chose was very similar to the one I loved, for almost half the price! Their prices are reasonable and they are very up front about the costs and what to expect, with no hidden fees. I would definitely recommend The Curvy Bride to any women looking for a beautiful wedding dress at a great price.

I purchased my Allure bridal gown last night at the curvy bride. I found the dress online and called several boutiques and the curvy bride was the only place who had it! I drove an hour with my sister to visit her salon it was the first dress i tried on and i just knew it was the one! I came back a few weeks later with my mom, my sister, my son and a friend to do a "full" appointment and try on several dresses just to be sure i made the right choice. The last dress i tried on was MY dress the original one i fell in love with online and a few weeks before when i came in to try it on! Michelle the owner was absolutely amazing. She was very responsive not pushy at all and really made me feel beautiful! She has so many options all the dresses were gorgeous! She was so accommodating she actually came in with her assistant Maria on a Monday when the salon isnt even normally open just for me because it was the only day my Mom could make it in! I said yes to the dress and Maria poured us all champagne (which was peach and delicious by the way)! I am so so happy with my decision and even more excited that i got to work with such an awesome bridal salon!!!! HIGHLY recommend the curvy bride!!!!!!!!

My niece purchased a beautiful Maggie Soterro gown at this boutique. The dress was beautiful. But they need to hire better alterations staff. The dress was delivered with a 12 inch opening in the seam of the petticoat portion of the dress. The dress did not zip to the top after alterations and I had to fix it. The bra was sewn in crooked and off center and I had to remove it and sew it in straight. I had to fix the back so it appeared to zip to the top. And to top it off, it did not appear to have been pressed, so I had to press it too. Thank goodness I am a classically trained seamstress. I also did not like how the alterations were done with the beading because they laid one piece of beading over the top of the other and the dress looked bulky on the left side but it looked better on the right side. I know how challenging it is to do beading, so maybe they did not have a choice. But I would have tried to do something else if I had been doing the alterations originally. Bridal alterations are really hard and there are not many classically trained seamstresses any more so I know it is difficult but honestly, anyone who could run a sewing machine could have fixed the seam in the petticoat.

I cant say enough good things about this place! I started out wedding dress shopping at a regular shop and had the worst experience. I happened to see an email about The Curvy Bride on my phone while I was driving back and decided to stop in. I came in right before closing on a Sunday, and everyone was so nice and encouraged me to stay even though it was late. They listened to what I said and pulled three dresses and the first one I tried on was perfect. They made me feel so special and beautiful. I just picked up the dress on Saturday and was shocked how great the dress looked. It made me so much more excited and confident for my upcoming wedding. Michelle, Paige, and one other woman (I cant remember her name :/) helped me on my two visits and were just so sweet, pleasant, encouraging, and KNOWLEDGEABLE!! If you have curves, check this place out- you will not disappointed. We deserve to feel sexy and beautiful when were shopping for wedding dreses just like everyone else!!

This is MY FAVORITE PLACE! Ive been to a few bridal salons looking for my wedding dress and not only did I find it here but i love the service! They are super sweet and convenient! They dont rush you and they allow you to pick out your own dress so you really know what youre about to try on. They dont pressure you and they also let you weigh your options. I am so excited to work with them, Ive already recommended them to another bride. Theyre that good! My bridesmaids like them. My Dad likes them. Everyone I bring gets the same vibe i do. And if youre indecisive about most of your wedding planning as i am, they let you come back over and over again. So Go to THEM! Let this basically be your first stop, im almost positive, itll be your last for wedding dress shopping! This place is incredible! GO HERE!

Went to this shop for an appointment with my friends from Spain. The staff was very respectful and patient, even when they were speaking in Catalan (other places we visited were rude about that), and they didnt pressure my friend to make a decision right away (it was the very first shop we visited for dresses). The store was very clean and organized, with a varied array of options, and it was intimate so you didnt feel like just another appointment. Marie listened to exactly what the bride liked and didnt like. Prices are reasonable and they are very up front about the costs to expect, no hidden agenda! I would definitely recommend people to consider this shop, and Im convinced that this is where my friend will return to ultimately make her purchase.

If you are curvy and getting married this is the place to come! Very satisfied every time I walk in. Smooth experience and the girls are great and accommodating. Definitely helps to look online at dresses you like to get an idea. They have so many dresses and there is no tax! The seamstress is a separate entity and pricey but very comparable to the other prices Ive seen and she is wonderful.

I found this place rather depressing. All of the dresses are jammed together so tight that looking at them while on the rack is impossible. Its great to have larger sizes to try on but the standard floor sample seems to be a size 28, which is hard for someone who is on the lower end of their size clientele.
