This review is for the Holland Tunnel Home Depot in Jersey City--whom we used to purchase wall-to-wall carpeting that we just had installed several weeks ago, and looks fantastic! I want to specifically point out one employee in particular, Corey, who was not only incredibly helpful and informative in assisting us in choosing the actual carpet, but also went above and beyond his duty to help us when the Jersey City Rt 440 store screwed up our order and then promised us a discount for the inconvenience, only to pass the blame, and completely deny they had made any such promise when they realized we had placed the official order online due to some misguided advice by customer service. When we went to the Holland Tunnel store to purchase some other items for our home because we were over in that area one day, we stopped upstairs at the Flooring Department to see if there was anything anyone could do to help us with the issues we were dealing with and getting no results on. Instead of just simply shrugging off our story and saying there was nothing he could do like one of the managers at the Route 440 store did, Corey patiently sat with us, while writing down everything that had happened, exactly what was said, and then told us not to worry and that it would be taken care of. A few weeks later, we had the correct carpet, installed on the exact day we wanted it for before our new furniture arrived, as well as a 10% refund on our credit card statement, all thanks to Corey and the terrific flooring staff at the Holland Tunnel Home Depot. Thank you guys so much for everything you did to help. You made an incredibly aggravating situation much less of a hassle, and in turn have earned two new customers. We will solely be shopping at this Home Depot from now on, and will be telling all our friends moving to the Hoboken/Jersey City area to do the same. Thanks again!

Very helpful and attentive staff. I last visited this location on June 25th looking for 1/4 " MDF. Although they appeared to not be stocked with what I needed I waved down Marco who assisted me in my search. He managed to find me the last board they had in stock and then continued helping me with all 8 cuts I requested. I couldnt have been more pleased with the service! he was very polite, very patient and made very accurate cuts. Truly exceptional service! Thank you Marco.

I placed an online for in store pick up in this store. One item from my order was cancelled even though it was available in the store. When I called the store to check I was transferred between associates 5 times, each one would ask me whats my problem, so I repeated for each one of them. After over an hour on the phone these folks still could not figure out the issue. Pathetic service. I would give this place negative stars if I can!

While this Depot is situated in a good location, the staff is always helpful if not plentiful Im off in there first thing in the morning and run into the restocking crew which can be frustrating as they specialize in the department that they are refilling. I also find it interesting that the Port Authority will not let them stop fertilizers because of their location near the Holland Tunnel.

I want to thank the lady in the paint department this evening for the professional and courteous service in which she provided not only to me, but to all the customers in a timely manner. I came in with a color sample and she matched it perfectly! NOTE TO MANAGEMENT AT HOME DEPOT- I could NEVER get this type of service from lowes in jersey city! Consider giving this lady a promotion!

Convenient location, with convenient parking up above. Have only had good experiences here, and I enjoy using the mobile app to help me find items within the selected store. That has always been very handy. Simply wish it was easier to find Home Depot employees walking around. I always find them if I need help, but I always wonder whether they could employ more.

One of the worst experiences Ive had at a Home Depot. I normally love the store, but at this location I could not find a single employee who had any idea where anything was. More importantly, when I asked them a question they would not look me in the eye or show ANY sign of actually wanting to help a customer, which of course IS YOUR JOB. Embarrassing.

Never ever buy appliances at Home Depot! They do not take them back, even if they are still wrapped and unused. Competitors like Lowes do!! I made mistake and was willing to only get a partial refund and buy a new appliance there. It took more that a week and many hours on the phone to track down the store manager, who flat out refused to take it back.

Because they are a bit smaller they dont carry all the products that larger stores would carry, like the ones on Route 440 or in North Bergen. But they still carry enough to get most of your projects done. You should also check on their website for in-store product availability.

Generally good service. Most items in stock. The staff is helpful and some are knowledgeable about various home repairs, although your mileage may vary. We have purchased appliances from them and have had reasonable service and good luck with the units purchased.

Had lots of great appliances but when you walk in there you really dont have anyone asking you if you want any help so youre left wandering the store looking for what you need. Other than that they have a great selection of appliances.

This Home Depot tries its best considering its location and restricted space. However, I feel like there is too much basic/generic stuff there and not enough of the quality goods. The HD on 440 or in Secaucus is much better.

This is the closest Home Depot to Newport. You can walk there but it is a bit of an inconvenience. Its better if you have a car. The service is always good and they pretty much have everything you need. Well stocked.
