Terrible experience! My wife and I just moved to the Gulfport area, so we have to start all over with many of the relationships we had developed over the years with businesses such as our former car dealership. Im away from home working out of state 90% of the time, so I dont have a lot of time to go through the process of finding the exact car I need and negotiating on a price. Thats why its so important that I have a dealership I do business with routinely, because both parties know exactly what to expect and it goes much quicker. We had some time to look around today when I was home, so we decided to check out Butch Oustalet Ford. Read more for details, but the short story is we will never be doing business with these people, ever. Salesmen are under pressure to make quick sales to get their commission, I get it, so I immediately started off with explaining our situation. I explained that we wanted to find a new dealership after moving here that we could work with as we did in years past. I also told him right away that I wouldnt be in the market to actually purchase for about six months, but that I needed to find the dealership we would be doing business with now due to my time and travel limitations. I also told him that I would need to purchase a new fully loaded Explorer from them every three years. I made an assumption that the prospect of earning a new customer who would regularly purchase $45,000 vehicles would be enough to at least make people there friendly or seem slightly interested. Wrong. The first salesman who offered to "help" us quickly excused himself for a phone call, and we later saw him with another customer. I tracked down the sales manager and started at square one explaining our situation and exactly what we are looking for in terms of vehicle and business relationship and why that was so important. One of his first questions was, "why did you move to the south?" Then he "jokingly" said, "I just never understand why people come in when theyre not ready to buy. Why cant people come in like two weeks early?" Even after being completely offended by their lack of interest in our business, I told the sales manager again why I wanted to develop a relationship like weve had with dealerships in the past, and I even offered to take him out for dinner closer to the time of purchase so we could talk about the specifics of the vehicle and negotiate a price. The fact that he hesitated so long with accepting tells me a LOT about how they conduct business. In the conversation with the first salesman while asking about their willingness to negotiate in price, he tried to play me like a fool by giving me the customary car salesman BS line about not being able to go below inventory price, then he told me, "Ive only been doing this for 26 years" when I corrected him and revealed I was an educated buyer. With not having much experience with businesses in this area after moving just a few months ago, I thought maybe I was being too critical of this place and maybe I would go back. After reading some recent reviews here, I see this is common practice for this dealership. This is the first review Ive written on here about any business, so that should tell you how strongly I felt about this place. My guess is, if this dealership was located anywhere else in the country it wouldnt be able to last one year without going under. You simply cant treat customers like this, let alone people who are not customers yet but would like to be.

Exemplary service, particularly Cheri Noantay. En route from a week spent in New Orleans to our home in Michigan on July 2, our 2005 Ford Freestyle suffered a loss of brake pedal response, so we pulled over in Pass Christian to evaluate the problem and our options. Knowing that we had hotel reservations in Biloxi that day, and with the brakes again responding, we warily continued our coastal trip. I asked the hotel clerk for a repair recommendation, and an appointment was made with Firestone Complete Auto Care at 2707 Pass Road, Biloxi. Their initial inspection found what my ASE-certified brother suspected, that the master cylinder required replacement. But, coupled with that repair came the recommendation to replace all calipers, rotors, and brake lines as well. This initial estimate was over $2,500, but after some exasperating discussions, was reduced to $1616.92. I telephoned my brother for a second opinion, and he recommended that I locate a Ford dealer, which brings me to why I write to you. Knowing that the July 3 date provided holiday scheduling and repair pressures, but with a pressing deadline to return to work in Michigan following the weekend, I hurriedly called Cheri for an appointment. Arriving around 10 A.M., Cheri registered me and the Freestyle, and I waited patiently for a mechanic’s evaluation. Around lunchtime, Cheri provided me with a menu of a local eatery, asking if I would like to join the Oustalet Ford employees in an order. The Freestyle finally saw a mechanic, who declared it problem-free; he could not recreate the mechanical problem, and gave me advice for continuing our 1,000 mile drive north. With the worries of transporting my family that great distance, and attempting to acquire such extensive automobile service during the impending holiday weekend, the timing of the Freestyle’s temporary mechanical problem created much to concern me. Oustalet Fords exemplary staff, particularly Cheri Noantay, alleviated any of my anxieties, and did not take advantage of traveller. It’s dealerships such as Oustalet Ford and employees like Cheri that make travel and car service much easier endeavors to undertake.

This happened to my dad who works hard for his money and saved cash to buy this truck. He sent dealership this email and no response. I am Really upset with my truck purchase. My buddy traded his truck in for $12000. I was suppose to be able to do a in and out for this price or not much more. However this did not happen and truck was offered to me for $18000 (with new tires which it did not have)which I agreed upon as long as that was total price with tax and title included. After purchase I have realized that I owe the taxes and title which is over $2000 $20000 total now for truck. John Stage has mislead me and I could have bought the truck for less from my friend and covered his tax discount. Now I have overpaid for this truck. My son called John and their conversation ended in a heated argument. After their discussion John called me and would not let me talk at all (was very ugly). This has been the worst vehicle buying situation I have ever been involved in. My wife and kids are very upset and want to use social media to voice my situation. I would like to have someone help me (not John) in fixing this dilemma. If you would like to help please contact me. They never have contacted him dont be the next hard working person to be mislead by a dealership that could careless about customer service.

I went in to purchase a Mustang after just moving here. The first salesperson got in the car with me for a test drive and as soon as we made it to the exit of the dealership he asked me to drive back and park so he could attend to another customer that he noticed. I was fine with this and obliged him. Shortly later, he introduced me to another salesperson that would be taking care of me. On the test drive, this salesperson revealed to me that this was not his ideal job and not one that he would of picked otherwise. I thought to myself that it was really unprofessional, but I overlooked it. Moving forward, I was there for almost 2.5 hours waiting on them to let me know what options they had for financing. Eventually, they told me that the banks were closed and they would get back to me in the morning. A day went by without hearing from them and I called in only to be told they still didnt know anything. I waited another day and called back as they still had not called me. At this time I was told that they would not be able to help me as the bank they were talking to could not assist me. Funny thing is, I went down the street (literally) and bought a brand new car with the same bank in one day. I will never, ever return to this dealership and from the looks of the reviews on here, Im not alone.
