Ive had the worst experience at the Minnesota, Oakdale, 55128, #15 best buy. A few months ago I pre ordered quite a few games. Every single time I went to pick up one of the four games there was always something wrong. 3 out of the 4 times there was two copies held for me when I only pre ordered one and it took the team 5 minutes to make sure I wouldnt be charged for their mistake. When I had a defective product an employee made me run across the store to grab a replacement. I understand that this seems small but if you sell me a defective product, can you at least go get it yourself for the whole "customer satisfaction" thing? A lot of the employees are immature and unhelpful and some are flat out rude. When I pick up pre orders they process them as exchanges so I dont get the pre order bonuses and have to spend MY TIME fixing their mistake and going to customer support to get the codes and bonus points I was supposed to get. Today I went to pick up a pre order game that came out today and she went to the floor to pick up the wrong product. Then she had to go to the warehouse to grab the product. I understand stores can be extremely busy, but shouldnt you have product on the floor the day it is released? This has happened a few times where product isnt on the floor the day it is released so I have to wait for an employee to get something which should already be on the floor. This store needs to know how to do pre-orders better. This store needs a talk about customer satisfaction. This store is not getting my business anymore.

I placed an online order for a refrigerator and it was all downhill after that. They called me the day before delivery and asked if they could come at 11:00 to install the water line. They wanted permission to come early as my delivery slot was 12:00-4:00. I agreed to start the process early, but on the day of delivery they didnt show up at 11:00 and they didnt call to update either. They showed up at 1:00. Okay, I can live with that. They proceeded to try to figure out how to install the water line. I could see they were struggling so I said just leave the refrigerator and I would figure the water line out myself. They measured the space the appliance was to go into and they said it was going to be tight (even though I watched their video and strictly followed their guidelines to ensure it would fit). They said my space was a fraction of an inch too tight. They refused the leave the refrigerator in the kitchen but they were willing to leave it in the garage. Makes no sense. They took the refrigerator with them and told me I was going to have to reschedule delivery. I called them today to try to reschedule but theyve lost my refrigerator. Until they find it they cant cancel or reschedule my order. Wow!

I went to the Oakdale Best Buy location looking a laptops as I was on the market for an upgrade. When I arrived there the computer section was very busy and filled with customers. I went looking around the store to kill some time while the sales people finished up, I was looking at home theaters and there was a gentleman by the name of Dan Kaul that asked me if I needed any help. I told him I was just looking around waiting for someone in computers to help me, Dan then informs me that he used to work in that department as a Microsoft specialist. Dan spent over an hour of his time helping me make an informed decision on my purchase of a new laptop, showing me all of the features and benefits of the products they carried. Dan made the whole experience pleasant and not stressful. By far the best customer service I have received at any Best Buy location to date! I will definitely be coming back to the Oakdale Best Buy to have Dan Kaul help me with all of my electronics purchases in the future. Dan you Rock! Thank You!

worst experience dealing with Ivan in the mobile department. I purchased a phone 2 years ago and got the service plan and the trade in plan and locked into a 2 year sprint plan. Recently had a phone replaced in November and asked when the policy expired and they said 12/23/14. I come in today 12/8/14 and they say the trade in expired on 11/23/14 and the service plan expires 12/23/14. well if they both last 2 years why does the one expire a month apart? Worse part of all he walked away came back with a 800 geek squad number and told me to call it...and she knew nothing of the situation and was no help. So here I am writing this on my way to the Sprint store which is truly a poor place to buy the phone but after this experience I cant sell out myself because it is a lesser of two evil situation. seriously avoid this best buy unless you plan on test shopping for Amazon. notifying their management and best buy corporate and will update with any replies from them. -Disappointed

Dont bother getting help. They do not care. The only people who care are in sections where you spend the most money. If you are in the DVD Section, Printer, Software or minor areas they will not bother to help. Just go on, know what you are looking for and get out. If they asked if someone helped you, tell them no there is no point. Ive had more success this way than any best buy store. They are all turning into a retail store to hire new teens or new young adults to the retail career field. Some best buys do better than others but sad that you have to prove them wrong on a lot of things. Also dont buy their warranty for anything worth a cent unless it is a stereo, DVD Player, or something where they can easily replace. You will wait it out 4-6 weeks. You be better off with a 3rd party like Square Trade. Overall its just another electronic store where I need to pick something up which technically is a nice Apple Watch which somehow best buy is cheaper brand new than ebay 100%.

I really despise this store. The employees are beyond rude. I went in there yesterday, knowing exactly what I wanted to buy. It took a good 15 minutes for anyone to come help me (the store was not at all busy), and when I asked a simple question about the product specifications I was treated very rudely. The employee was so rude that I walked out without purchasing the item I wanted to buy. I probably wouldnt bother to write this review, but the employees are rude every single time I go in this store (and they are always different people). Kudos to Best Buy for managing to screw up that sale. I wont be setting foot inside another Best Buy store and will not be giving them any of my money. Hopefully others have a better experience here.

Ive always found the staff somewhat helpful. Sure theyre a little slow on the phone pickup but I can live with that. The important thing to remember with any "big-box" store is you cant count on the employees to know ****. You need to do your research ahead of time and know specifically what you want to purchase. You should be able to expect some help, but lets be honest. Some college kid (or dropout) plunked down in car audio probably knows about as much as any Joe off the street. So do your research ahead of time to the best of your ability and think of it as nothing more than a run in and pickup location. You really cant depend on more than that and unfortunately that seems to be the situation with most places these days.
