There selection is great and the staff are knolagable about their products. However, like every other pet store they fail to accurately let you know of apropiret living conditions for animals (and they dont stop people from holding critters incorrectly). Especially with their larger birds, rodents and reptiles. Were stuck with a large tank non of our pets will ever need. They told us our snake would be fine in full time light (not true), sent us home with exponentially too large houseing, by their own admission they do not sell the correct housing sizes in their kits and did not sell thermostats (a critical component) that regulate heat of pads, lights and CHEs. Very displeased, will never buy another animal though them nor will we be recommending them. Unfortunately they are the best supplier in our area so we will be returning for food/bedding/etc until we move away.

When I first got my dog Lance I didnt have a clue what to do with him I went to Pet Expo and met this fabulous sales person who told me exactly what to do with the dog. The sales person told me if you dont want him him to sit on your couch dont let him sit at the beginning. I didnt have you a clue what kind of dog food to feed him and she walk me through that also his toys and Ive been a loyal fan ever since over 11 years there people are friendly knowledgeable and are happy to work with you.

We love this pet store. They carry many brands that you cant get in a superstore like Target or walmart. They have pets for sale that you can actually hold and play with. Very large selection of fish, reptiles, rodents and birds, and everything you could possibly need for any of them. We got free treats for our dog when we went too. Very pet friendly place, good prices. Always a fun visit every time were in Mankato.

This is a great place! I highly reccomend it. It has everything you need from fishes, birds, dogs, cats, rabbits, you name it. Ive always shopped from here for my bird supply (parakeets). I just got a puppy and i cant wait to go shop for supplies for her. I got one of my parakeets there and now shes 8 years old. This has been my favorite pet supply store and ive always shopped from here. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!

This store is great! There is a very large selection of anything you might need for your pets. Pet Expo has a wide variety of fish available in tanks that are clean and cared for. If you are looking for any type of rabbit, bird, rodent or reptile or fish this is your place. The staff is great and the prices are very fair. This is the only place in the area that I would consider when shopping for pet supplies.

Nice place and good selection. Employees are knowledgeable and very polite. You can tell Mankato is a dog owners town though: 2/3 of the back aisles are devoted to dog supplies with only a corner area for cats! I can get better prices on cat food elsewhere in town, but Ive yet to find a cat toy at this place that my guy didnt love until he ripped it to shreds!

the staff greet you and actually smile and ask if you need help with anything. At petco I get glares from the teenage girls working there. Everyone is so helpful and welcoming here. Theyre also way more informed than anywhere Ive been. I bought an albino gecko here (although it doesnt look too albino anymore) and he or she is doing great!

I have worked here and practically lived here for the past three years. The staff is my family. Now being a customer I know that they will be able to ship in almost anything. Their knowledge is outstanding since they go through extensive training, I know this first hand.

This used to be an awesome place to buy saltwater fish. The key there is USED to be. For more than a year they have had worse selection then the big box store in town, and thats just pathetic! Also heard a rumor the owner kicks his own dog, not sure if its true...

A weekly trip to Pet Expo is always in our plan. Knowledgeable staff. Great pricing. Awesome selection of products. Weve made several strange requests for fish supplies and they are always willing to do whatever it takes to get it for us.

I got a wonderful guinea pig four years ago from Pet Expo. He is still going strong and is very friendly. The workers were very helpful, and gave me tips on taking care of him. It was a great experience and they have the best Piggies!

Pet Expo does have a fairly large inventory of items that dog and cat or any type of animal owner would want and I think their selection is probably as good as any other pet visited in the past so I think their selections good

Ive never had a bad moment here. Theyre super organized, have practically ANYTHING you need, have the pets for the cheapest price you can imagine (10 bucks for a rabbit? thats awesome man), and the staff are kind. I love it.

This is the cleanest pet store I have ever been in. All the animals are well taken care of, captive bred and healthy looking. Their prices on many of their fish and small animal supplies are unbeatable.

Ive always secretly hated Pet Expo for expanding and taking over the space for the roller rink. But childhood garages aside this place is great for pets and pet supplies.

Way better than the big pet shops. Dont ever buy animals from the big ones, they come from poor conditions. These guys are trustworthy and the workers know their stuff.

Theyre fine, cages for the bearded dragon cages have the wrong substrate and red lights for warmth can cause damage to their eyes.
