I have been a loyal customer of the petco grooming salon and petco store for a long time and I have never been disappointed with the grooming service, they are very knowledgeable and know what they are doing. i was on vacation and unfortunately missed a grooming for my poodles and the boarding place i took them to didnt brush them everyday as i had asked so they wouldnt get matted but in result they did and where severally matted but the groomers knew what to do and took good care of my dog and even did a soothing shampoo because matting can irritate the skin. i wasnt the biggest fan on a short shave for my dogs but it was the best thing for them, now i know for the future to have a family member watch the dogs. :-P to the person who brought there westie in it was your fault for not brushing ur dogs daily and petco shouldnt be held responsible for your f**k ups, they are only human and not Jesus they cant preform miracles, they are good at what they do and in all the years i have been going there i have had ZERO complaints!! ROCK ON APPLE VALLEY PETCO!!!

Horrible horrible place. I personally like having mice as pets so we (my boyfriend and I) went to go get some. We ended up picking out 4 we absolutely loved and when they put the mice in the box the attendant helping us thought something was off with one of the mice so he went to ask, they assured us they were okay, about a week later after falling inlove with them i come in to find one of the mice had passed away. Not sure how it happened another one of them started showing signs of being sick, looking up definitions online we found out it was a upper respiratory issue which is apparently highly contagious and can be passed along between other small animals with the same small respiratory system, and it can take sometimes up to a year to kick in. About three months ago one of my guinea pigs fell ill to the same exact thing; we hoped it would be the end until tonight where AGAIN my guinea pig(another one) fell ill. I still have 5 small pets I have to worry about now. I will NEVER buy from here again!!

I called this morning to schedule a grooming appointment, and because we are new customers, when we arrived the girl said I scheduled a self-service. When I spoke to her, self-service was never mentioned. Luckily, they had an opening and were very friendly. However, when I arrived back later on to pick up my dog, they told me (after I paid) that they werent able to trim his nails because he tried to bite them. This, I believe. He does get a tad agressive when you try to trim his nails, however we have had him groomed at multiple places, and usually the groomers just tie him up and muzzle him if needed. I was a little disappointed that they didnt do the nails, or at least offer a discount for not doing so. Instead we paid full price for just a brush and a bath.

To the person who last posted a review. I was in the salon that day when the westies where dropped off, I heard the groomer say she would call u if they couldnt get through the matting and let u know they would have to shave the dog. And besides its not there job to brush ur dog in between grooms it is our responsibility to take care of our dogs, they are just doing there job and they do the best they can!! They are very good at what they do I have always been satisfied with my grooms!!

I recently made a stop at petco, as a young fish enthusiast, wanting to add to my collection. I got rejected at the register after I found the beautiful rare fish that I spent hours and hours gazing at. The horrific workers at petco didnt believe I was 18 because of my height and my choice of clothing. I have never been so disgusted and saddened. Go to pet smart they will believe you. I went to Petsmart and got a more extravagant fish anyway.

We have been coming here for over a year and have always had good experiences. We have bearded dragons, guinea pigs, and now a puppy. Brittany was helpful answering our bearded dragon questions, friendly cashiers, and Jon giving us hassle free returns. They also price match to their website so I find them to have the best prices over PetSmart and Chuck and Dons. The smell and cleanliness of store could be approved upon though.

Took our dog for training. A 6 week course took 10 weeks because instructor had to cancel classes. Halfway through, got a new trainer. She was good, but at last, graduation class, she saw I was sitting there with dog and she still left for the day. I had to find someone to help us. Then, they found a 3rd trainer. Felt like we were rushed out of there. Do not recommend local for obedience training.

I brought my westie in to be groomed, and the groomer shaved him completely without getting permission. They had left me a message with their concerns already by the time I made the 20 minute drive home, and when I called them back to tell them I did not want him shaved, it had already been done. They also neglected to tell me they cut him while shaving! Not happy, and will not be going back!

I bought a wooden kennel for my dog here and it was $130, my dog ended up chewing it apart and got out. We brought it back hoping to return it but expecting they wouldnt take it back because it was damaged but they were more then happy to take it back, full refund, even helped us get it out of our car because it was heavy. I was very pleased with the service!

I love to spoil my bulldog! We would both come here pumped ready to buy new toys, and leave...discombobulated. Heres why, the service is junk.Staff is unfriendly. Facility is dated, but ok. The shelves offer plenty of options, so that is a plus. I would stay away from this location, until quality good quality customer service is a priority here.

I have been to petcos from California to Indiana and this one is not that great... I am disappointed by the size of their building and the layout, most of the other ones are significantly bigger with a wider selection. Only good point is I dont see as many of their betta fish dieing as some of the other ones.

The customer service here is absolute trash. No one is ever on the floor, and for the ones that are act like youre asking them for a favor. Out of the 3 times I went, it was the same awful experience. Same goes for the cash register. You have to peg to be attended to. What kind of store is this?

Went and picked up myself a hamster and she chew threw theyre cheap thin cardboard boxes for transporting live pets. She wasnt in the car and wasnt in the house. Going to get my refund and taking it to petsmart to get a better one.

Store was crammed with people for an adoption day, however, minimal employees. Couldnt find help when needed. Out of stock and overpriced on several items for what we were looking for. Ended up at their competitor.
