DONT SHOP AT THIS BRIDAL SALON!!!! This was the most devastating experience!! So incredibly rude!! When I picked out my dress I was in love with it, by the time I wore it on my wedding day I hated it because of them! I have made it my mission to tell everyone I know not to shop here, ever! The day I walked in to look at dresses was the only good day I had with these people. It was 10 months before the date of my wedding. I had a really great consultant named Lynn, she was sweet and genuinely cared. I had my wedding shoes with me so that I could be measured properly when I found a dress I loved, which I did. I was measured by Lynn WEARING MY BRIDAL SHOES and was told it would take three months for the dress to come in. The one I picked out was lacy from top to bottom so it couldnt be hemmed because of the pattern of the lace so it had to be made to fit my height, thats why I needed to be wearing my shoes while be measured. So three months later I go in for a fitting, bringing the same shoes along with me to make sure the length was right. First of all they tell me Lynn no longer worked there so I no longer had a consultant. From that point on every time I went in I was handled by a different person each time. Secondly when I put on the dress, it only went down to my ankles!! The women there tried to blame me and gave me dirty looks, saying I must have not been measured in the same shoes, BUT THE DRESS WAS AT MY ANKLES. I WAS STILL BAREFOOT AND THE THING WAS TOO SHORT! My shoes were not the problem. So they remeasured me and said itll need another three months for the new one to come in. This put us at four months before the wedding date. I was understanding but I really was put off by their attitudes towards me. I had to argue with them that these were the same shoes I wore when I was measured and I didnt like being blamed for their mistake. So three months later I go in and get fitted and the dress was perfect lengthwise but falling off me at the bust (it was a strapless dress). Now, I had measured in between a size 9 and 10 so the size I ordered was a ten because they said I could have it taken in to fit me. I went in for three fittings with the seamstress in those last four months before the wedding and every time I went they hadnt done a thing to my dress. The seamstress kept saying, "your weight will fluctuate you dont want it too tight" and I had to repeatedly tell her, Im swimming in it, take it in so it doesnt fall off me on my wedding day! I got so angry and frustrated I called in to the store and complaining to the manager, who was very rude and condescending to me. Two days before my wedding I went to pick it up from them. I asked if I could try it on to make sure it fit and she wouldnt let me. She said it had been pressed and steamed (I doubt it) so I shouldnt wrinkle it. I didnt feel like arguing I just wanted to get the hell out of there so I took it and left. I wish I would have tried it on because it hadnt been touched! When I put on the dress on my wedding day it was huge! My brother had to run to the store to buy me heavy duty large safety pins so that we could fold the fabric over at the armpits and pin it together to keep it on me. I was so devastated. Oh and the veil was another disappointment! I ordered a two tiered veil, one tier was mid back level and the other was to the floor. It was beautiful but I asked before I ordered it if I could have the seamstress separate the two layers so I could keep the shorter one on during the reception and take off the longer one and they said absolutely. So I ordered it. When I picked up the veil with the dress it also hadnt been touched. When I asked why they said the seamstress said it would ruin the veil.... SO WHY THE HELL WAS I TOLD THEY COULD DO IT IF THEY COULDT??!!!!! Please dont shop here, please tell your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, enemies not to shop here!! They are an atrocious store and deserve no business whatsoever.

Apparently Demetrios has moved from their Coolidge & Maple store location to here. No sign in the window or anything, I assumed they were closed completely. I called the phone number found online, someone answered and told me they were now at Macys Somerset. Stopped in to see a sample bridesmaid dress that my bride friend has chosen for us (she said they had it a few months ago), but they no longer did. The lady tried to tell me it must be discontinued, but I know it is not. I asked to be measured for the dress because I need to send in my order where the bride has the entire bridal party set up to order from. This happens everyday in bridesmaid world. They refused to measure me because the order was not being placed here. Many other places have no problem doing this for you, and Im sure those other places have measured bridesmaids to send to this location as well. Its just the way it works. Too bad that cant extend the same courtesy. Its so sad how many bridal salons have so many rules that ruin the experience that should be all fun and smiles.

I went looking for headpieces and veils. The lighting in the entire shop is horrendous and sad, I cant imagine ever trying on a dress in there. They had very few options for headpieces and veils, and they were all super expensive and looked dirty. They also said I wouldnt be able to get a veil until weeks before the wedding, even though my wedding was more than 6 months away. The employee helping us asked if I bought my bridesmaid dresses yet, and when I told her that I purchased them online at Etsy and they were coming in the mail that week, she said buying online is too risky and when they dont work out come back to her. Not a chance. The dresses I bought online were perfect and I didnt have to deal with a poorly lit/poorly run business to get them. Would not recommend this shop for anything.

I cant say enough good things about this salon! I ordered my beautiful veil through them, and Janelle was so so helpful and professional! (She had assisted my sister-in-law two years prior with picking her dress there). She helped me find exactly what I was looking for, placed the order so easily, and I even had the option of borrowing a sample veil before my fitting in Detroit to see how it looked with my dress! The prices are so reasonable, as I had looked at other salons in the area that were way too expensive. I would highly recommend this shop for your bridal needs, and hopefully you have a chance to work with Janelle!
