Only gave this Petco one star, as the review would not go through with 0 stars. Just called to have my min pins nails trimmed, the twit on the phone told me I would have to make an appointment. When I questioned why this had always been walk in in the past, she then asked me for my phone number, looked it up, and told me my dogs rabies vaccine was expired; which, in fact, it does not expire until 2017. The two really good groomers they had at this location have suddenly left. On top of this, I had to return a coat that I purchased (cash) for an exchange only (size issue). Another twit at the register insisted on seeing my drivers license. Again, I did neither a debit card nor credit card, so identification should not have been necessary, I did use my rewards number, and I had the receipt. Stupidly, I showed the twit my license, and she immediately wrote down my drivers license number and my birth date (writing the birth date down was not that bad, because she used 2014 as my year of birth). It is illegal for Petco to collect personal information for no reason, but register twit insisted that her manager told her to do this, and that they were required to send to corporate. When I complained to Petco corporate, the said they would "retrain" their twits, and they agreed that my identification should not have been requested, under these circumstances, and certainly should not have been written down. Lastly, I will never purchase food or treats from Petco again, as after finding out that a Chinese-provided snack had sickened and/or killed numerous pets, they stated they would remove it from their shelves in March 2015, months after the link was made between sick pets and their target date to remove it from their shelves. Added to all this, whenever there is a training session going on in this store, which they have very little space for, their trainers conduct those sessions by yelling out commands and causing chaos. Apparently Petco teaches their "trainers" (and I do use that term loosely), that yelling is the only way to communicate with dogs. These training sessions create chaos with the yelling and closed aisles; just way to inconvenient. I would never trust the life of my precious pets to ANYONE at PETCO again. The entire staff there seems to perpetually store their brains in that dark, smelly place below their belts. Because of the idiocy of their staff, it is just way too much effort to deal with Petco.

I dropped by dog off and in less than 6 minutes literally they were calling me back stating that they could not cut him. I drove to the other side of the parking lot to Wal-Mart & they were calling me back. I do not know what kind of training is required for these ppl but the kicker was I was charged $28. For what???? Supposedly they washed, brushed out, cleaned ears & trimmed toe nails all in 6 damn minutes. I was livid. Oh I forgot to mention they said they walked him around to calm him down too. Smh. I have a 3 yr old yorkie. Who is running this place the dogs or the groomers????? Needless to say I took him to GOOD GROOMERS IN LIVONIA, ON PLYMOUTH RD & they did an excellent job. Its a great experience, they do not cage the dogs, there are never more than two dogs there @ a time. They start on the dog and work straight through with one dog. So you do not have to worry abt kennel cough.. Going to Petco was the biggest mistake ever....

Can I say price gouging on alot of products such as reptile bedding, special cat litters and Science Diet wont take none printed coupons or competition coupons if on phone so gotta go elsewhere for majority of my stuff. ALSO some people might not have time to print competitors coupon just so you decide whether or not to take it is utter ridiculous. No knowledgeable assistance and slim choices all more reason along with prices $$$ here but pet supplies and petsmart for same thing is $ I dont see my loyalty wirth much here where it is elsewhere, also yes checked my email including junk mail no coupons and for what when I enrolled.

I been talking my dog to be groomed there for two years, the last two times it easy a new young girl with curly hair she is horrible has no clue at all at what shes doing she cut all my dogs hair off when I told her just to trim it. What happen to Marie?? She was the best and soo sweet, this one has an attitude never again till you people get a new groomer I will take my business somewhere else she is HORRIBLE no clue at what she is doin

The people here were super polite, professional and extremely helpful! I was having a Hard time with finding the collars, (apparently Id went passed them without even realizing it. lol) & one of the Employees helped me find them! :) a little bit expensive for their stuff unless its on sale, but youre DEFINITELY getting your moneys worth!

My only problem is the fish misinformation. Someone asked if a betta needed a filter and the employee said no. This is false as they do need filters, heater, and minimum 5 gallons. People will argue with you about this because they choose to remain ignorant as their feelings are easily hurt from not doing research.

I rather go to Fishy Buziness too commercial here. Not enough selection and only sell crappy aqueon hearers. Staff is friendly and helpful. Just better have receipt or wait a month for your reward card to go full in system because you will have to make the manager go look it up in back.

I take my pups in here to get their nails clipped and it is a great experience. The staff is always polite and take excellent care of my dogs even when they are not on their best behavior. The prices in the store are decent, I usually walk around and get toys while I wait.

The worst place ever. I took my pomeranian there for maintenance care. He was returned to me without any grooming that was paid for. When I spoke with management about the incident, I was told to pay more more for services that should have been done previously.

Greg is very personable and takes the time to walk you over to the item(s) youre looking for, as well as answers any questions you may have. He intelligently speaks about products. When I need pet products, this Petco is my first stop.

I mainly use Petco for their grooming services. I can usually get a same day appointment. Some of their groomers are better then others. Theres one I wont use anymore. Prices are fair.

We bring both of our dogs here for grooming and nail trimming. They work with us since we have a large dog that is easily scared of new people and situations. Great place to take our dogs.
