Ok, so my review is very much like the last reviewer. Ive held off making my review, even after several negative experiences with this PetSmart. But after today and sharing my experience with my dogs breeder and friends, I cant keep my mouth shut. This grooming salon is inconsistent and unprofessional. A few months ago I called and explained to Sara about my puppy approx 8 mth old that she freaks when I try to trim nails. I brought her in and my pup did try to freak but then the only competent groomer stepped in to help Sara (wish I knew his/her name) and kissed and held my pup. So naturally, success. Great! Today I called and spoke to Kristen. I explained I need help with nail trim again. I told her ill be there n about an hour. So I showed up. The girl at cash register in grooming, what a joke. I immediately asked "are you Kristen?" She completely ignored me. Did not respond. And says "do u have an appt?" I said, "well I spoke to Kristen an hour ago and told her Id be in in an hour""are you Kristen?" Still, no answer. She walks away, goes to the back. Brings back who Im assuming is Kristen. Finally, someone who will actually speak to me. Yes its Kristen. So I explained again in detail how my pup freaks and I need nail trim and toe hair trim. So she takes my pup to the back where no one can see whats going on. I knew this would be trouble, but they all acted as if they could care less that Im a concerned pet owner trying to get the job done correctly considering the issues. The rude front desk girl, acted like she just couldnt accept that I was still in their face waiting. Not like she was doing anything anyway. I could tell she would love for me to get out of there and roam around the store while I waited. Based on her comments. I made small chat. Left came back. Asked "can I help her out back there?" Knowing that my dog is difficult and needs special care and comfort. She says "no. You cant go to the back" Needless to say, no other groomer can even see whats going on with this Bather by her being in the back. Not cool for me as a customer either. So, this rude cashier says to me "Oh we might need to give you a refund, shes having trouble clipping her nails" Duh!!!!! This is why Ive been trying to let you all know so we can at least watch and offer help if needed. So then I said to the only 1 useful groomer there, which I wish I knew her name. But shes the only one whos mature enough to communicate with customers and handle the dogs. I asked "can u help her? Thats what you did last time I was here?" "Oh sure yes Ill help." So she goes back for a few minutes. However, not for the duration to complete the job. She comes back with "shes almost done" Ok. So few minutes later, the Bather comes back "ok shes done" I asked how was she? "Oh she was stressed but ok, not as bad as some" Ok. So having already paid, she handed my dog to me. Then as Im getting ready to leave, "Oh I couldnt clip like 3 of her nails. She was too stressed" At that point all I wanted was to leave. They were all acting like I was a bother. Like they couldnt spend an extra second for the extra care. Now I have a dog with 3 nails un trimmed. So if those nails imbed in my dogs paw pads I guess thats just ok to them. The poor Bather was obviously new , she was trying to do her best But everyone else in there could of cared less. And they were not busy at all. With this experience on top of a couple other rude employee interactions, I will not return. So much for living across the street. Id rather go to Cori at VCA Mill Run vet for grooming. Shes amazing! Or the PetSmart on Sawmill. Never had 1 issue with them. There are other options, tired of the bad customer service. But these people suck!!!!!

Im giving this store 2 stars because of one employee. Otherwise it would be a 4 star review. Most of the staff I have encountered are great- friendly, helpful, positive. I brought my pup in for a nail trim since he freaks out when I even look at his feet. The first time it went great, the girl worked with him and got it done. The last time (and it will be the last time) I was there the girl that came out to get him (after sitting in the back for several minutes after they told her) was obviously irritated that I was there an hour before closing and didnt want to work with us. She made no eye contact, didnt smile and was generally unpleasant. I told her that they had to muzzle my guy last time because hes uncooperative and she did not respond. So then she took him back and brought him right back out in 2 minutes. She had an irritated, disgusted look on her face and told me she couldnt cut his nails because he freaked out and peed all over himself. It didnt seem like she made any real attempt to work with him or do her job. I know that hes a maniac when it comes to nails, thats why I pay to have someone who knows what theyre doing do it for him. It seems like someone who is being paid to groom dogs should have some understanding of how to work with them.

I am very disappointed with my recent experience at Petsmart (Hilliard) with their grooming. I have been taking my dog here for some time now, spending $120+ on each groom. I made an appointment for last week and let the person taking the appointment know that I didnt care what time the appointment was for, but that I would drop my dog off between 7:30 and 8am and could pick her up whenever her grooming was done. I arrived at 7:52 and they refused to groom my dog, claiming that my appointment was at 7:30. I was never told that the appointment was at that time and spent a lot of time getting my dog ready and transported over to the store -- only to be denied, requiring me to take my dog back home before work. The person was extremely rude and I will not be bringing my dog back -- despite having nice experiences previously. The alleged "7:30" appointment time was not communicated to me and the groomer let me know that she would have taken her up until 7:50.............. when we arrived at 7:52. THANKS PETSMART.

I am standing quietly with my German Shepherd "Reno" sitting at my side. This employee comes up and asks if my dog is dog aggressive. Because it is a German Shepherd, I think he already had already pre-judged my dog, even though I have been bringing the dog in there for years, since he was 8 weeks old. I told him that he was not aggressive unless another dog got up in his face. A minute later someone lets their dog run over and jump on my dog. My dog was startled and snarled. I immediately made him sit, neither dog was harmed in any way. Then although my dog had been obediently sitting when he was jumped on, this employee asked me to leave the store. This guy knows nothing about dogs. I have spent hundreds in that Petsmart, but they will never get another dime. It is a shame because they have some great people working there that I enjoyed talking to.
