I wouldnt even give them one star. They treat their animals poorly by overwhelming them with so many people. Not to mention the young kids grabbing any animal within hands reach and slinging them across their arm and dropping them. But oh thats only the beginning. My friend and I went to see the birds but to get to them we had to hustle our way through the crowd of unknowing people trying to pet the puppies. When we arrive we see a bird already out of its cage because all the employees were being oblivious to everything, except the puppies. The birds sees us when we got near him and flew up to the ceiling and onto the vent. And of course probably because of their bad employment no one will get the bird and he will die of starvation or fly into the wall. As I look into the bird cage that holds about 40-60 birds in a 3x3 cage with only a height of one foot I see at least 5 ( probably more too ) with torn out feathers on their neck. Not to mention that the cage was littered with feathers and some birds were carrying around feather in there mouth. I tried my best to take photos of the situation, but there was just so many birds there and they wouldnt stay still. From the bottom of my heart I wish that you adopt your animals from your local animal shelter. They are the most genuine because of their backstory. Just dont shop for animals at Petland because in their eyes they are just products needing to be bought. P.S There was this rude lady that was calling a ferret ugly and disgusting to her son :)

Normally I love this Petland. The dogs are cute and sweet and the rest of the animals seem happy and healthy. However, the customer service here is subpar and today my experience with th employees crossed the line. One of the norms for this facility is to notify the workers of a puppy uses the bathroom on the floor. So, upon entering our room, puppy pee was neglected and we notified an employee before letting a puppy splash around in anothers urine. The man huffed and puffed about having to clean up this pee, whatever. I just assumed hed been having a bad day. Then, the puppy we got out had an accident, so my 10 year old sister stood up and said to the same man, "Excuse me sir, our puppy just peed on the floor." He ignored her and several minutes later came over to our room and said to a 10 year old: "I appreciate you letting me know but I was speaking to a customer and you interrupted me, and that was very rude of you." Really? Rude of a child to notify you so that you wouldnt have to clean piss off of a puppy later? For future reference, Petland employees, dont speak to 10 year olds that way unless you are their parent; especially one of your regular customers.

If I could give negative stars I would. Went to play with the puppies and had already got three dogs out since I was there and then went to go see if I could get the English bulldog out and the lady told me she cant because he was sleeping, but then someone else ask and she lets them have him. I then ask for a different dog and she tells me Im not allowed to because they have a "3 dog pull limit ", because "there are so many people who want to play with the puppies " the whole store was empty-_- only like 2 people. She was very rude and disrespectful towards me.

This store is horrible. Puppies that young should still be with their parents and siblings. They definitely should not be passed around to anyone who enters the store. They are not vaccinated fully and are immunocomprimised due to their age. They should not be housed in tiny cages with other dogs, and certainly should not be allowed to play in a visit room when there is absolutely no sterilization between puppies. No wonder there are hundreds of reviews from consumers who unfortunately purchased sick and dying puppies.

My wife and I went there to potentially buy a puppy. We were told that we could not interact with certain puppies due to the fact that they were on "rest". Apparently the puppies need to rest for an hour and a half, so we were unable to see the puppies that we were interested in. On top of that the staff were extremely rude and very unfriendly. My wife asked to see a certain puppy and we were met with a very rude and cold NO. All in all, hands down the WORST PET STORE WE HAVE EVER BEEN TO!

At no point in ones life should they say let finance a new puppy. I find it unbelievable that this place finances animals like they are just another piece of property. We have a dog shelter and humane society with animals that really need homes and that likely didnt come from puppy mills. Getting a new animal shouldnt be a purchase. It is an adoption. This place sells animals it doesnt arrange for adoptions.

MIXED FEELINGS. +The staff was very informative, helpful and friendly -They sold me a sick puppy with Kennel Cough two weeks ago. While I love my dog, I just wonder how long they let her be sick. Also the only one that was kept in a cage alone away from other dogs. She was also very underweight. Buyer beware-- have the vets across the street check out the pet before you buy.

Every Petland is a different experience because many are franchised. This Hilliard one has different owners than it had a few years ago and the place looks and smells much better. I could see a difference as soon as I walked in. This is one of the best Petlands Ive seen.Its generally quite clean and the animals look alert and healthy.

I wouldnt even give them one star. Bought two bunnies from them. One died 30 days later one died 3 days later. Horrible. Have 4 upset children not once but twice. I will never buy from that place again nor the one in Heath Ohio. Then to get my money back I have to jump through hoops. This is ridiculous.

I was in here to buy a harness for my dog on a saturday night so it was very busy in there... but I walked up to look at the puppies and all of the male employees were flirting with underage girls. These men were completely ignoring myself and other customers that needed assistance. I was disgusted.

Tried to look at possible puppie and the workers had their friends in there. Staff to busy playing around for good customer service. I had money to spend and i will be taking my business else where.

The store had great service and the staff were very helpful while I was purchasing my new puppy! They also offer training with the purchase of a puppy which is nice since they are quite expensive.

Great place to see and interact with a wide assortment of animals. Extremely friendly staff that doesnt get bothered by a little tire kicking and letting toddlers play with their animals.

The employees here are very nice and the puppies they have always seem to be treated properly which is a huge plus! The employees are also more then willing to give recommendations.
