We have had our 9 mos old Golden Doodle groomed at Pet Smart Northville 3 times and each time it was a wonderful experience. Decided to try the Livonia store since its closer to our home and trying to avoid the construction nightmare in the Northville area. Was met by Jessica ( groomer) at the door for 8:30 am appt. She moved very slowly and offered no greeting what so ever. She continued this indifferent almost bored attitude during the check in. She seemed disinterested in the dog she was about to groom. Red flags going up, I asked if she had a problem grooming our dog and she told me I could go back to the other place if I would be more comfortable. Horrible customer experience. Now I see why everyone goes to the Northville store instead.

The place is the absolute worst. I took my German Sheppard there and they completely messed up my dog. They shaved her down almost to the skin and left the head and tail uncut. She looks like a Q-tip with a big bushy tail and fluffy face. They also shaved a mole off her neck, she has a big blood patch in her fur. Its very painful for her. The only reason you should take your pet there is if you want someone to torture them. The grooming section needs to be shut down for animal cruelty and the employees being incompetent; please dont bring your animal here. Theyll only make your pet look stupid or honestly hurt them.

I have a not had a bad experience with Petsmart I recently took my shitzu Bella there to get groomed and the staff there were very helpful and friendly .It was Bellas first visit and I was very pleased with her haircut . Bellas groomer Jessica was very understanding with how I wanted Bellas hair cut she was very nice and even recommended some products to use in between grooms for Bella. The price wasnt too expensive. Bella was there a little bit longer than I would like but Bellas groomer did an awesome job so I didnt mind . I would definitely go back and ask for Jessica again thank you Petsmart

So this place says online and on the door that they open at 8a.m. I show up about 8:15.. I drove 25 minutes to get here. I walk in BC the automatic doors opened for me, I walked to the front line aisle. I grabbed the $100 box of front line, went to the front to purchase my medicine for my cat. Just to be told I cant purchase it u til 9a.m. !?! What the hell is wrong with people? Im never coming back to this lying ass store again. Bye. Thankyou for putting customers and pets first. Wtf!

Poor customer service. I went to the fish dept to get a new pleco for my tank and the person was finishing up with someone else so I am looking at the other fish and instead of offering help they disappear so my son goes back to the front and they get paged took 10 minutes more for them to return. Poor fish selection. And did not get the right fish.

Took our little pup to get his hair cut and the lady who did it was extremely rude and tried to make us feel bad because he was squirming around while she was trying to cut him. Our dog is only 5 months and has only been groomed once. Went on and on about how bad he was and how it was so inconvenient for her to be doing this. Not coming back here

I would not recommend this place at all. Due to racism (which means they dont like African Americans/ Black People) I ask about the adoption and the staff refused to give me information about the adoption and turn me around. They were rude and disrespectful and racist and very unprofessional. I do not recommend at all.

We signed up for their Puppy Package. They mis-scheduled our dogs spay appointment and then when I tried to reschedule I had to wait 15 minutes on hold just to schedule! Plus the woman on the phone was cold and rude. Im switching to the Northville location and if its no better Im demanding a refund on their puppy plans!

My father goes here often to pick up cat food for his cats, and I occasionally join along with him. There seems to be some good quality items throughout the store, but the store is a little dilapidated when it comes to appeal (peeling paint, scuffed floors, odor in the cat adoption area). The employees seem friendly.

Very slow on multiple visits, management clearly sitting in office near front door ignoring long lines and unassisted customers. Took over twenty minutes to buy some mealworms, most of which were dead when I checked at home.

Very nice trainer named Jill, helps my grandmas dog with walking techniques. Very affordable pet food and small animals. I purchased 2 chinese dwarf hamsters and they are healthy. I recommend this store to everyone :)

General Zod

I took my Siberian Husky here for training. The class was enjoyable, informative, and the price was reasonable. I take my Shih-tzu here to get his hair cut. The groomer usually does a good job. (Experienced no racism).

Total bloody rip off. Im either buying my pet stuff online now or at Petco. $10 for a bloody Made In Taiwan collar!?!! And Im talking about something made of cheap plastic and twine for a very small animal.

Used the grooming service. Took a bit longer than they thought but they are very nice and you can book appointments online which I love. They did a pretty good job cutting my dogs hair.

Took dog in for a bath took 2.5 hours male worker was aggressive with other dogs as well as with mine did a terrible job brushing if he was even brushed wich was done in back room

Went in to purchase fish and every tank in the store was infested with parasitic snails at all stages of growth. This has been an ongoing problem with this chain.
