I purchased a dining room set from Tenpenny Furniture in Howell on March 4, 2017. At that time, I was told that delivery was 6 weeks out. The week of April 10, I received a call from them, and they told me told me that it would not be delivered for another 4 weeks. Today (May 8) I received a call from them again, and they told me that it may not be delivered until August! Of course, at this point, I have cancelled the order. They told me that the manufacturer oversold the product. I called the manufacturer, A America, and they have assured me that they have plenty in stock. I went to another A America dealer, and the same set was delivered in a week. I am not sure why Tenpenny was not honest with me, nor do I understand why they could not get the dining set in a timely manner.

I was very disappointed because I rushed from Ann Arbor to Howell to look at furniture at Tenpenny after work yesterday and they were closed. I got there before 7:00 and the website says they close at 8:00. I also called and the voicemail also says they close at 8:00 on Mondays. What a waste of my time. I could see if there was an emergency and they had to close early but put a note on the door stating that. There was nothing, lights off, door locked and parking lot filled with cars from the auto place nearby.

I have bought several pieces of furniture from this location. I will only buy from Tenpenny because they allow you to browse without feeling like you are being attacked or watched as you shop. They are there when you have questions and weve always felt that we got a good deal when we have purchased something. Delivery is quick and the workers are courteous and helpful. Ill never shop anywhere else !

Absolutely love going here for furniture. Always a nice variety and the prices are great!! We do our research and look in all the other stores but always come back here. Good, quality furniture for a fantastic price!! Tony always takes care of us and answers all my questions no matter how silly they may seem. A variety of fabrics and styles to choose from.

When we moved here from Downriver sixteen years ago TenPenny Furniture was recommended to our family for quality furniture and great customer service and I can agree with that. Each time that we have gone in search of furniture, we have gone to this location. I also like that it is a local store and we try to support the small local businesses.

Very high quality furniture and helpful, no pressure staff. Bought a solid wood dresser with glide drawers for a very reasonable price - more expensive than pressboard junk, but you get what you pay for and it will last forever. Fast delivery. Total opposite of the name brand stores!! Will be shopping here in the future.
