I called and was told they would look at my loose stones to possibly purchase some. When I arrived I was told that the information I received over the phone was inaccurate. Unable to sell the stones I asked if they sold settings. They didnt offer anything unique, but were wiling to do a payment plan, so I left them with my nicest emerald to be set in a size 7 white gold band with two diamond accents in it. The next 2 times I visited was to make payments. My visits were mostly brief, as I felt a mixture of out pf place, and in the midst of moderate sales pressure. I was under the impression that the ring would be ready for pick up at the time of my final payment (I didnt assume, but asked in advance and was misinformed), but they told me at that time that they hadnt set it because they were waiting for payment to be complete first. So, I left and came back. When I picked up the ring it was set in a size 6.5 band. I asked my partner to drop it off to be re-sized. The customer service representative made it clear to him that they would re-size it for free this time, but in the future there would be a charge. A few days later we went in together to pick it up and upon inspection I immediately saw that it was missing a stone. However, they corrected the missing stone on the spot. Although it was not enjoyable experience, I do like my ring. The staff was not outwardly rude, but I mostly do not enjoy interacting with them. They were too sales focused for my taste. I liked talking with the owner. He was more of a real person.

I have only outstanding things to say about Richards. I found a engagement ring that I love on Ebay at a competitive price that was being sold by Richards. I called them and they gave me a great deal. Upon receiving the ring with fast shipping, just as advertised, I realized that it didnt fit the diamond (which I had bought separately). Although I considered returning the ring, Richards informed me that if I mailed them the setting and ring, they would resize the ring, changed the setting head (so the diamond would fit) and set the diamond for free. I did just that, and it came back perfect. Their communication was excellent, as well as their service. I would gladly do business with Richards again.
