I would like to give them less than one star. Took five months to get our oven fixed that we purchased from them. Started in mid-January... first delay no problem on our end... anything can get delayed... 2nd time... we were also ok, disappointed... but the 3rd and then the 4th time... then I went to Amazon... and lo-and-behold the part was there. Called another guy... still waiting for the Jarvis part, the other guy had the part in 2 days... The oven is working.... at least someone along the way should have said sorry a lot about the delay... The kicker is that the guy from Jarvis who had fixed the oven last time had stripped the screws which made the oven very hard to get apart... so the Jarvis folks charged for 2 hours instead of the 1 hour (they politely marked it out on the bill that it was supposed to take 1 hour but took 2 then claimed the screws were not stripped but didnt show them to me. Hmmm... They sell good stuff but boy are we not buying anything from them again as service is not particularly their strong point. well, the burners got fixed but ever since the repair guy left... it turns out that it wasnt a hinge but looks like they put a part of the faceplate on the oven on wrong, so now when the stove heats up the faceplate gets caught by a screw as the oven expands. This strongly suggests that the repair folks didnt test the oven before they left. The hinges and the faceplate is all set because I fixed them because I could. The folks who did the repairs clearly didnt test the oven before they left or they would have noticed the issues before they left. At some point the lack of confidence, particularly, when your own repair person told us that someone messed up with the ordering as waiting from January to get a part shouldnt happen and quote: "someone messed up".

Just went to Jarvis on Rte 9 in Wellesley with the intention of buying at least a new $2k new range. We wanted to deal with a "small" local business, rather than big box store. My husband and I walked into the store, went past 3 sales people, and no one greeted us. There werent many customers and it was not a busy time. After 10 minutes, I asked an associate if someone upstairs someone could assist us and he said yes. We were the only customers upstairs, along with 2 (apparent) sales people who were eating their lunch at one of the display counters. A male associate said hed be with us in a minute, but after 5 more minute of looking around and not being acknowledged, we left the store. Its disappointing to us that, especially in this economy, we received such poor service from a business we had all hopes of dealing with. We will not try Jarvis again.

I am a renter. Landlord arranged for Jarvis tech to come to house to replace oven heater element. Jarvis person called house a couple hours after landlord left to tell us part was on order, would arrive in approx. 1 week, that we would be contacted when it came in to set up 2-hr window for tech to come out. Six days later, on a Sunday, we were called and given Tuesday time-frame—10–12—for install. Call came in at 9:30 Tuesday morning; tech said he was 20 mins. out. Ken (?) showed up when he said he would. Neat, professional appearance, demeanor. In and out within 30 mins, oven fixed, everything working as before. I have a refrigerator maybe on its last legs. Based on this one experience with Jarvis, I would probably first check out Jarvis for its replacement.

Poor customer service. My decorator suggested this company, I should have gone elsewhere. I outfitted my kitchen with top line appliances and was promised a rebate but after the purchase I was told that there was no rebate. I feel tricked. I am having a problem with one of the installed appliances and cannot get any service. Before you buy here, just call and see the experience---I should have. Any purchase should receive positive customer service, but for an appliance we use daily and hopefully a long time, shouldnt we get even that much more service? I think so.

I went in needing a new oven, range hood, and dishwasher, and was prepared to spend about $5000. When they heard I didnt want to spend more than $1500 for the range hood, I was pretty much dismissed with "we really dont have anything in that price range." I never had a chance to tell them about the dishwasher or the oven. The salesperson walked away from me sort of shaking his head. I purchased my appliances from Yale, and for the record was able to get a very powerful high quality commercial vent hood that I absolutely love, within my price range.

Started with Kevin Doherty in sales and he helped guide me to a couple of incredible machines for washer and dryer. Then the delivery guys did an amazing job with my pain in the ass schedule and getting them to my house. They also got them in to my basement by having to basically crawl under my deck. Everyone was very friendly and helpful the whole way through and will be back for a fridge and dishwasher soon.

The Jarvis family and the Jarvis Appliance people are the best in the business. They have truly become friends and I couldnt imagine buying from anywhere else. Service and repair is fast and professional. I try to frequent local, family owned businesses and there is no better operation around in any line of business then the people at Jarvis.

I had purchased an Amana refrigerator 13 months ago from Jarvis. When the ice maker leaked, I called them and they sent a repairman the same day. When another leak came from the hose, the following day they sent a senior technician to fix it. All is well and at no charge. Awesome.

Visited for appliance shopping on a Sunday. Noone paid attention or offered to help. I did a quick browse, left, and got far better options to view with more help at Best Buy.
