My wife and I closed on a brand new beautiful home in Southbury on 6/30/2017. It was our dream home!!!!! When we finally got settled we noticed that the refrigerator was not making ice, and working correctly. So we called our builder, the builder tried to resolve the problem and then said he would call CT Appliance. CT Appliance sent someone from Carries Appliance, and he confirmed the ice maker needed to be replaced, and that he needed to order the part and it would take a few weeks. I was furious, because this was delivered defective it needs to be replaced, and my builder agreed. So I call the people at CT Appliance what a crew. When I advised them of the situation, the women I spoke with told both my wife and I we were wrong and thats how the refrigerator worked. I advised her that this needs to be replaced, and they said NO! and that I had to call the manufacture Frigidaire, and I did. They said I needed to call CT Appliance, however they did give me a case number for the future. I called CT Appliance back and spoke with another individual no luck, then later on that day I get a call from a gentleman who identified himself as a manger, and I once again advised him of the situation, and he was adamant they were not taking the fridge back. I advised them that you delivered this defective and should take responsibility, it became a screaming match now, because I had had it with these clowns. Keep in mind since we moved in I am the one every week going out to buy ice!!!!!! The next day I call back, and talk to a gentleman named Bob, and I advised him of our situation and begged him to help us, he like the rest said he couldnt help me. I offered to pay for an upgrade, and told him of future potential, he could care less, and refused to help us. Long story short... lol Frigidaire sent someone to look at the situation and not only does the ice maker needs to be replaced but the door mechanism as well, because the door wasnt closing correctly it wasnt cooling correctly. We are still buying ice to this day,9/25/2017 and we are still waiting on parts. I hope after you read this you decide to go with another appliance company because these people are the worst. No one should ever have to go through what my family just did. When the builder heard all this, he advised us that he would never use them again!!!! P.S I had to give one star, because if I didnt I would not be able to post this....

I found Connecticut Appliance and Fireplace on line while shopping for new kitchen appliances. I had visited Lowes, Home Depot and PC Richards. The service was okay at PC Richards and the sales rep wrote all of the information down on the back of a business card. At Home Depot, looking at the rows and rows of refrigerators, it was hard to imagine how the appliances would look in my kitchen. I stopped in at CAFD and was amazed at the difference in the shopping experience. All the appliances were staged in beautiful kitchen settings. The sales rep (Drew) helped me pick out just the right product based on the dimensions I had provided. There was no sales pressure. He printed out all the product specifications along with a quote and placed them in a presentation folder. I was able to compare the products to the business card I received from PC Richards and found that the pricing was competitive, and even lower than what PCR had quoted. Ordering was easy, and the installation was scheduled without a hitch. I highly recommend CAFD - they excel in service, price, delivery and installation.

CAFD came recommended by Cabinet Specialties, who designed my new kitchen cabinets. CAFD is a one stop shop. Everyone is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Pat greets you at the front and helps you with a salesperson when you are ready. I was in the market for new appliances for my new kitchen. I dealt with Mike Guarino. He was very knowledgeable on the products I was looking for. He beat all the local pricing at other stores. He also made sure I got the maximum rebates. Mike worked around my renovation schedule to get my appliances delivered when I was ready for them. I was able to email Mike questions and he was quick to respond. Carlos and Joe delivered my appliances. They were so polite and friendly. They worked very hard getting my appliances in the house and being careful not to hit anything. They answered any questions I had. I am so glad I found out about CAFD. I have since recommended them to friends. I will go back when I am ready for a gas stove. I always try to shop locally. Great employees at CAFD.

I recently purchased several appliances from CAFD, as well as a gas stove and fireplace surround. I can state unequivocally that CAFD has provided superior service in every respect. The selection in their showroom is extensive, and offers a wide range of selections at all price points. The sales staff are knowledgeable and professional. Any time I have called CAFD, staff have been extremely responsive in answering questions and addressing concerns. Virtually any retailer may run into unexpected problems when parts are back-ordered, resulting in a few disgruntled customers. My own experience with CAFD is such that they will do virtually anything to ensure the satisfaction of their customers. I am delighted with my new appliances and beautiful fireplace! I could not recommend this company more highly.

We just bought a refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, washer and dryer from these fine folks and they did a great job with us all the way. This was a no pressure, informative and educational experience. Never once did I feel as though we were being directed or influenced in any way. Always, this was professional from start to finish. The items were delivered as scheduled and the installation was handled in a clean and professional manner. We would absolutely purchase appliances here again and will very likely upgrade our fireplace through CAFD in the future. I particularly appreciated the professional qualities of Danica. She knew her product well and was well versed on all accounts. She was pleasant and responsive.

We were very happy with the experience at CAFD during our kitchen renovation project. Both Danica and Scott were very patient with us throughout the process, as we had many questions & took quite a long time to finally make some decisions! We were able to delay out delivery a few times (at our request) and when delivery was made, it was on time and took less than 10 minutes....no issues or complaints at all. I cannot imagine having made this major kitchen appliance purchase without the help of professionals, to assist with both the questions on the appliances & design of the kitchen; it makes it so much easier when working with people that know what theyre doing! I recently bought a new home and purchased all of my appliances from CAFD. They were a pleasure to work with and went out of their way to insure that everything went smoothly and that I was 100% satisfied. The salesperson we worked with, John, was wonderful and made what we thought would be a difficult process easy. Phone calls were always returned and my questions answered. The installer also gave me his cell phone number in case I needed to reach him regarding anything to do with the installation. Their showroom is huge with a wide range of selections and prices. Great company to do business with!!
