I have done business with City Cycle through the years but never again. Needed a chain replaced within four days so I could take my son to the Cape at the end of the week. The service tech, Nat, told me "everyone is taking their son to the Cape this weekend" and he cant get to it for a week. But for $ 120 for a tune up and chain he "might be able to fit it in". Well I brought the bike to Cycle Loft and they tuned it up, replaced the chain and had it ready the next day for $ 48. I guess that is why Cycle Loft had ten customers in their service department and not a customer in sight at City Cycle.

I brought my sons bike in on a Sunday afternoon to get a new break lever installed - the old one had broken off. I was able to pick it up on Thursday evening. I called REI at the same time to see how long it would take them to repair it and they couldnt even look at it for two weeks, and I could pick it up a week after that. I guess theyre just busy and thats the price you pay if you have someone else do the work. The owner comes every year to a nearby bike-rodeo put on by the cub scouts and donates a day of his time to tune all the scouts bikes. I have had nothing but good experiences there.

I very rarely write a bad review, but City Cycle truly deserves one. After waiting in line for a good 15 minutes, the guy at the desk says to me "do you have something quick?" I wanted a flat fixed and he told me it was going to be "a couple of weeks". There are plenty of bike shops out there that will treat you decently. Dont let these people hurry you along. They arent doing you any favor at those prices anyway. Trust me on this one. Go elsewhere.

Im new to the area and in need of some professional help. when I came into City Cycle, Nate was courteous and professional. He helped me with a minor issue (pedal replacement) for a very fair price. I was in and out in about 8 minutes. Going forward, City Cycle will be my first option for anything bicycle related. Thanks, Nate!

Been shopping around all over the North Shore for a BMX bike for my son. Great customer service. Even though they were busy fixing bikes in the back, they found the time to assist me. I ended up buying a bike from there and will be happy to go back for more!

Went in looking to buy a few Presta valve caps since mine broke off. They gave me the caps free of charge and gave me some advice on fixing my slipping Shimano Nexus gears. Theyve definitely earned my business the next time I need something.

I like these guys. Every time I go in they stop what they are doing and make repairs while I wait whether it is fixing a flat or tweaking gears. They are nice, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced.

I popped in during a ride to pick up a few basics - patch kit, spare tube, that kind of thing. All the guys at the shop were super friendly and helpful, and the price certainly couldnt be beat.

I brought my mongoose in for a tune up and as soon as I left,my brake line (front) snapped clean off...a mediocre/overly expensive shop, paid way too much for a 1/2 way done tune up...

Didnt fix my bike because of a "safety issue" wasnt happy at all I had to walk my bike 1 1/2 miles home back to my house with my chain off!
