Worked with Rustem for bike selection and Byron for fitting. Rustem was very knowledgeable and willing to make it work. I had previously been to the Cannondale Company store and figured out basically what I was looking for, just a side note about what may have affected my shopping experience (more later). Coming in and wanting a Synapse Carbon Disc 105, Rustem was honest about how great the bike was but was equally honest about the Scott bikes that were similar and less expensive if my budget was lower. For my wife we got an awesome deal on a new but couple year older Focus with 105 and carbon frame for less than a new alloy with basic groupset. (More) I think it is key when shopping to walk in knowing what you want, meaning groupset and ride style. Get the feel for the shop and what the owner is trying to sell you. Collect information and then walk out. We checked a number of other stores and did not like the options available for us or what they were trying to sell Our fitting with Byron was outstanding. He was very helpful and knowledgable about our ride style and form. He was also very patient as we spent a few hours with him. Really probably the most enjoyable part of the process and will continue to be so as we tweak into next summer. I like Quad Cycles for the folks in the shop, their selection, and proximity to the Minute Man for testing. With regards to other reviews I could definitely understand price concerns about parts but this is a small shop with far less ability to scale pricing. I know shops exist but I would argue a shop would need to choose a business model. Hardline on bike price or components. Overall I like their bikes and service. Ill be back for a mountain bike I had my eye on!

I dont tend to write many reviews but, I feel compelled to say something about this bike shop in particular. My first time entering the shop I was on a very tight budget. I was uncertain what I would find in my price range. I met with Rustem the shop owner and explained my situation. He didnt try to over sell me on a bunch of bikes that wouldve cost me twice as much as I intended to spend. Instead he found me two closeouts. I told him my cap and he gave a counter offer. I expected this since it is a business and the guy needs to make money. We bantered back and forth and I chose the cheaper of the two close outs. He helped me fit it and added the pedals free of charge. I didnt expect that. I had such a good experience that I asked my girlfriend, who was looking for an update herself, to check out the other closeout. She loved it and after some research she made the purchase. He helped us get fitted to the bikes and was very courteous. But most importantly to us. He didnt over sell us. Its tough to find stand up small business owners like this. Were both very happy with our bikes and the customer service has been impeccable. Hes helped us every step of the way with basic repairs done right. Even if some folks say the shop may be pricey its worth it in the customer service and experience alone. He was an international competition mechanic. So he might know a thing or two. Hes certainly earned my business as a repeat customer. He also honored my military discount. Not many places actually do that.

I went to Quad Cycles looking for an upgrade, and I really appreciated that Rustem didnt try to sell me a bike out of my price range. I am not that knowledgable about bikes and he took the time to walk through the different bikes that were in my price range and the differences between them. When I asked about a more expensive bike, he actually was willing to tell me that the less expensive bike was more bang for my buck. I ended up buying a Scott Speedster 30 and love it. I thought Rustem gave me a great price on the bike and has been amazing about helping fit me to the bike.I didnt realize bike fitting was such an elaborate process. However, the bike fits great and I feel more efficient when I pedal. They even changed the bike stem because I was reaching too far over. Rustem has been very helpful on any adjustments I have needed throughout the initial break in process. Which included a derailleur adjustment (my fault). I also bought a bike rack for my car, and Rustem not only helped show me which one would fit on my car, but he walked out and showed me how to put it on my car. Just the other day I had a flat tire, and took my bike to get it fixed, and it was fixed in under 20 mins and I was out riding it in no time. I have been extremely pleased with the customer service I have gotten at this bike shop and will continue to be a loyal customer. I havent found another bike shop that has been as helpful or as thorough as Quad Cycles.

In most bike shops, Im flying blind and the people who work there seem to be too. The people at Quad Cycles are not just selling bikes, they are avid bike enthusiasts that have expert knowledge of parts, components and fittings. Before buying a bike at Quad, I didnt even know about getting fitted and none of my bikes ever felt really comfortable as a result. Once I was fitted at Quad, I realized what was missing all along! It definitely makes a difference, and its not just adjusting the seat height. They spent almost an hour to get the fit just right and after my first long ride, I could tell what an improvement it made. My neck and shoulders werent stiff the next day because I was in the right position. I also like the fact that the people at Quad want to encourage a cycling community by hosting rides every Sat and Sun, and socials every month. As someone new to the area, thats a nice plus to go riding with others that know their way around and to get to know people that share my interest. Its also nice to know that if I ever do want to start racing or training, the people at Quad can guide me through it. They all participate in races and long rides and can point me in the right direction when the time comes. Thanks Quad! I would highly recommend this shop for expert knowledge and advice.

I called ahead to get a quick repair done. The mechanic said he could take care of it on the spot before I head out to a race. When I showed up I was turned away by the owner and not even allowed to talk to the mechanic. * Updated. I called back an hour later to let Justin, the mechanic, know I would not be coming by, Rustem, the owner, answered the phone, started yelling at me an called me a lier. I have had a working relationship with Rustem for several years and this is not the first time he has treated me like this. I have seen him treat his employees like they are idiots in front of anyone in the store, and he sees customers like meal tickets. *Updated. I came into work, my job the next day to learn that Rustem called my boss to complain. I do not know the details of the conversation but Rustems behavior is unacceptable, immoral, and vindictive. Maybe he should try apologizing instead of acting like spoiled brat, but in the time I have know him I have never heard him apologize for anything regardless of how bad his Behavior gets.
