I"ve been a customer ever since my family moved to West Roxbury, and back in the day when Jay was still down on Centre Street. I followed him to Roslindale. (Not only because the new shop is roughly equidistant from the old one. Score!) Jays never tried to upsell me, and has invariably recommended what I need for my bikes and nothing more. Jays work is spot-on and affordable. Best of all, hes been patient and respectful, answering all of my questions over the years, big and small, dumb and otherwise. Over the years, Ive been a customer of Ace Wheel Works, Harris Cyclery, and QuadCycles. Jays shop will go toe-to-toe with any of these shops. Get your work done at Busted Knuckles; youll be glad you did.

I began going to the shop regularly once it moved to Belgrade Avenue, but I would come back even if it was not two blocks away from my house. We havent bought any bikes lately, but we have used the shop extensively for repairs, parts and accessories. Ive found the service to be quick, and the prices affordable. As a small shop, there is personal connection, but of course you wont find every part of accessory from every manufacturer. Thats ok with me. Jay, the owner, has also been VERY supportive of Rozzie Bikes (our local advocacy group) both by setting up at the farmers market on bike day, and also providing materials (tires, tube, cables, etc.) for us when weve done bike repairs at Archdale.

Started going to Busted Knuckle when they moved to Belgrade as they are now the closest shop to my apartment. Glad theyre here. Good service. Staff explains issues to the semi-ignorant (that is, me) and is patient and does good work. Stopped in with a snapped chain expecting to drop off the bike and pick it up in a day or two as they appeared to have a backlog of bikes. Instead they put it up on the lift and did the work for me right there. Got me in an out within 15-minutes. Ill continue to bring my bicycle business to the Knuckle.

Best in New England!!! I rely heavily on my bike as my means of transportation to and from work each day. I have been going to Busted Knuckles for years and the service is always above and beyond. Jay provides exceptional service while diagnosing your problem with full attention to detail. I am so thankful to have them in my neighborhood, words dont even come close to how much I recommend this shop

Im a big fan of Busted Knuckle. I first started getting my bikes serviced here when they moved to Belgrade and I lived just a short walk away. Now I live a few towns away and its still worth the trip. The owner/staff are helpful, patient, kind, and knowledgeable, and their labor rates are affordable and fair. I give Busted Knuckle my highest recommendation.
