You can stop looking for a great shop, because its JRA Cycles!!! I went in on a Thursday afternoon with my KHS 29er and my Sinister Fbomb DH/FR machines thinking I wouldnt see them for a whole weekend+ and that Id need to drop several hundred dollars to do what was needed to ride both steeds again. I wanted to just about overhaul my 29er (scuff break pads, clean rotors, transmission adjustment, headset adjustment, true the rear wheel and fix warped rim, tighten both R & F hubs...) PLUS the Fbomb needed the front rotor straightened, a new handlebar swapped out, lube applied to the Boxxer fork, and the sway arm bolt needed tightening, etc. Not only was all of this work performed for ONLY $70!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I was able to get BOTH machines by the next day... The next day!?! Wow.. I know its February and the slow season, but theres no snow this year and everyone I know is still riding, and needing service. NEVER have I gotten such speedy service, friendly advice, or experienced such a pressure free environment than at JRA Cycles. Adam kindly pointed out that my fork(s) may require a full overhaul but to just "think about it". I was actually talked out of a sale that "I probably didnt need", so honesty was established. It is also just a cool place to hang out for 20 or 30 minutes and talk bikes!! I give this place 5 stars, and 2 tail whips!!! Mark Doyle

I searched the greater Boston area looking for the right bike for days. JRA was my last stop and if they didnt have what I was looking for then I was going to throw in the towel. I just wanted a simple, rigid frame mountain bike, with as few gears as possible, for under 500. Nowhere else had that. I went in there, where they had plenty of bikes to choose from; beach cruisers to elaborate downhill feats of engineering and everything in between. They were helpful, friendly, had the bike I wanted and didnt try to up-sell me. There was even 2 different sizes of the bike that I was interested in and I road tested them both. We went over the pros and cons of each size and I made my decision. I have been mountain biking for 16 years and have lived across the U.S., a good bike shop is not that easy to find, when you find one, you should support it. This is a quality shop!

I cannot recommend this place enough. The staff were extremely helpful and patient when I wanted to test drive several different styles and sizes. I will be using the bike a lot for commuting so I usually have a backpack full of stuff I bring back and forth. To get an idea of which bike was going to be more comfortable, I asked if they sold backpacks so I could load up some stuff to try it out. They didnt have any they sold but one of the employees actually gave me his bag and loaded it up with spare bike parts for me! I definitely would give this place a try if you live anywhere in the area.

Brian, Aaron, Adam, Wil, and the whole team at JRA are some of the most knowledgeable and courteous bike shop dudes youll ever meet. I walked in there as a doe-eyed new customer a year ago and was helped out to get all of the stuff I needed to ride. They get 100% of my service work on the mountain bike because they truly are the best in the area. Most of the guys ride locally too, and when Ive run into them on the trails, theyre not only friendly and cordial, they have helped me work on my skills and getting faster. There is no better bike shop in the area.

What an LBS should be. Brian (the owner) is incredibly friendly, helpful, and even remembered me 5 years since I had last ridden with him (moved out of town). Hes gone out of his way to come over and say hi at bike festivals and events, and is always super helpful. The guys in the shop also reward good customers - theyve thrown in a few extras now and again because of the bikes and other accessories Ive bought there. One of the few shops Id trust to do the small amount of work on my bike I dont have the tools to do at home!

I went in this morning to look at mountain bikes and ask about my "classic" Masi roadbike. I havent been riding for some years and was feeling a bit apprehensive. Brian the owner was wonderful, patient and understanding. I felt no pressure whatsoever and I clearly felt that he cares. This is instantly my favorite bike shop ever. I purchased a wonderful mountain bike and I expect to bring in my road bike for a tuneup. Every customer I saw, from the hard core to the newbies were all treated great. A true find indeed!

Came there while there was a snow storm outside. It is rare for a bike shop to be open in the winter, but those guys are steaking with their schedule even in such an inclement weather. Real heroes! Customer service is great too. Needed a single speed crank-set, they only had 36t but I wanted 32t so they just swap sprocket out at no charge! Prices are decent too bikes and components, everything is reasonably priced at msrp or even lower. This is a great place! Will definitely be back.

I come here when something is going funky on my bike and they charge fair prices. I wanted to try to fix a part on my bike myself and the guy there gave me advice and showed me the parts I would need to do it. Once I was done the next day he even checked it out for me. He did not try to pressure me into letting him do it for a fee at all. He got the point that I wanted to learn for myself and so he helped me find the things I needed to do so correctly.

Ive never brought a bike here, as I found the selection a little limited for those who need a small frame. However, the staff are so helpful! Ive stopped here plenty of times with questions, and accessories. Theyve always been really nice and personable and most importantly, patient, especially to someone whose not very quick on understanding road bikes (Im a runner, its all I know). I found service prices to be very fair as well.

Great Shop! Staff is super friendly and the service is great. No pressure sales, great mountain bike selection (and a Yeti dealer!) great BMX selection, and geared towards the commuter too. If they happen to make a mistake they will do what they need to do to make you happy, theyve done it for me and I can be hard to please. I only shop elsewhere in an emergency or if Im far away. Higly recommend a visit to this shop.

Ive visited the shop many times but ended up buying there as they were the most helpful and personal in assisting you. This is whether it be a purchase or for just information. Theyve also assisted on minor repairs while I waited so I can get back riding. Ive seen them go from a small shop to a larger one without sacrificing service or personality. Highly recommended local bicycle shop. You will not be disappointed.
