We recently moved and needed an inexpensive washer/dryer. We went to Carver Appliance after my mother in law told us they sold used ones with a 30 day warranty. My husband and I bought a used washing machine there for $250 on 4-29-13, it broke after just 2 weeks. I called to have the machine serviced and they were unable to fix it. They then replaced our machine with a similiar unit on 5-13-13 because it was under a 30 day warranty. On 6-4-13 the second machine quit spinning out and again I needed to have it repaired . I called CA again and they came to fix it. The service man was nice and fixed our machine, however they would not honor the warranty. They charged us $128 for a machine that we had for 2 weeks. When I called to complain and inquire about the 30 day warranty I was told that the " warranty" was already honored on 5-13 and now I needed to pay full price for the repair. I told her that we had owned the "new" machine for less than 30 days and so the warranty should be honored. The woman on the phone was very rude and informed me that it didnt work like that and than asked me to make a payment immediately. I didnt give them my credit card information over the phone. Obviously we were very upset. For $ 378 we would have gotten a brand new machine. Carver Appliance has horrible customer service and doesnt seem to care about their customers or stand behind their products . I HIGHLY suggest you think twice before buying anything there.

We bought a $1300 washer from Carver Appliance 31 days ago. It broke & when I called Carver Appliance they couldnt get to it until Wed. (this is Sat about 3pm). I requested he give the repair man extra money to work 45 minutes later (theyre off at 3) & Justin refused. Justin then chided me for not call CA first - I told him I had and he apologized. I then told him it was ridiculous that a local company couldnt help out a first time customer and that I wanted to return the washer; he said no. My husband called back and spoke to a woman , and she wouldnt give him the exact purchase date (we got it from our credit card bill later) and refused to tell him the return policy; she then said it was illegal to "bribe" someone (apparently me asking Justin if they can give incentive to their employees is "bribery") and hung up on my husband. Youd think a small town business wouldnt behave this way - its all about word of mouth. Well, I plan to tell everyone I know about this HORRIBLE treatment.

I have to say that some of these reviews disturb me. I have bought numerous appliances from here and have always had excellent customer service. On the contrary from most reviews before mine, Justin has always been incredibly patient with me and my 100 questions before the purchase. I had my washer 10 years and it was still brand new before we remodeled and I needed a flat top and we gave it away perfect condition and never had a problem. Weve needed some repairs with our fridge, but he owner John came out in the beginning of a snow storm to repair. These are good people and this is a great local shop!

I bought a drier from them it broke within 3 month the sent there service guy out it cost $89.99 just to get him here the never stated in the phone conversation that I would be charge labor as well all they said was I would pay for parts if needed it was a part they forgot to put on the drier before they sold to me and the charge me addition money for a part that was suppose to be there when I bought it will never go back total scam the repair man was her 8 minutes charged me $125.00 remember the dry was bought 90 days ago NEVER AGAIN

All I can say is to ask around before you buy here. I think the only people who "like" this place are those who have had everything go just right, by luck. You can really tell how good a business is by how they handle problems. Carver Appliance is horrible and wont service their appliances. They really dont care after they sell it to you. Theyre a small place - its shocking that they can stay in business. I urge you to ask around before going there. We went there thinking we wanted to do business locally - what a mistake!

Basically, these people should not be in business. They, like any other vendor can sell you an appliance, but accomplishing anything reasonable with them after that sale is either impossible or unpleasant. Try, as i did, to get them to let you clean the floor after your old appliance is removed. I turned my back and they were hooking up the new appliance, totally ignoring my reasonable request. There is more, but why bother. "BUYER BEWARE" says it best about this outfit.

Never had any problems. Bought a washer and dryer, the washer drain hose came undone and started leaking all over the house. They came and fixed it that day. Other than the drain coming loose there was a quick delivery, they took my old washer and dryer and put them where I asked. I bought several refrigerator parts and oven parts there, and Im waiting on a dishwasher part right now. Service is good and havent had any problems.

Carver Appliance is the best! I have bought my appliances from them since they opened the store. They are great - all of them. This is a professional business which has been here in Carver for decades. Everyone goes there for appliances. I have never had a problem. I dont know anyone who has had a problem with them. They are great.

I have purchased several appliances at Aldersleys Carver Appliance, and had them serviced a few times at my home as well. I cant say enough good things about them. Yvonne and Justin are very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. John does a great job of servicing assorted appliances. All go above and beyond to help.
