Top notch through and through! In 2009 my husband and I purchased our Ducati from Battley where they went above and beyond what we expected of them. We regularly used them for service on our motorcycle and experienced the same with their service department personnel and mechanics. Everyone at Battley clearly loves what they do and they are experts in their field with an impressive knowledge of all things with two wheels (and accessories, music, cooking and more)! For the last six years we have taken Valentino (our Ducati) in for service, and every time, each and every employees has been super friendly and accomodating. Not once have they expressed being annoyed with us for wanting to test drive the latest and greatest while waiting for service to service Valentino. Because Battley has always been so delightful, we recently returned to purchase a BMW R nineT one Saturday morning. Despite the shop being slammed with customers, we experienced a flawless transaction where they thought of everything from A-Z and more. Sam facilitated our purchase, answered all our questions and took the time to show us the finer details of our new BMW, affectionately named Amadeus. There were others who played a part in our purchase. Karen, Tom and Todd were also great to work with. A note to women riders: Often we are intimidated by the male-dominated world of motorcycles shops. From the first time I stepped foot into Battley through present time, not a single associate made any assumptions of any kind. My father taught my brother and I to drive motorcycles at a very young age, and before owning Valentino, I owned and operated several motorcycles. Prior to owning Valentino, it had been a number of years since I was on the saddle and I was horribly out of touch regarding the latest technology and safety gear. No matter when I would visit or who I spoke to prior to our purchase, Battley always put me at ease. They helped kickstart my riding adventure by taking the time to thoroughly discuss the proper protective gear, including helmets, jackets, boots, pants, and gloves. They even encouraged me to enroll in a Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) course despite already having my licence. There are no egos at Battley. Only dedication to serving the motorcycle community in the most positive, safe, nurturing environment possible.

I recently Called Battley Cycles as well as Old Glory Harley and asked if they were negotiable on the extended warranty for my Harley. Kelly said she cannot give me the price over the phone but to come in and she would work with me. I called Old Glory and they gave me a price which was good. So not to waste my time or Battley Cycles in Gaithersburg MD going in to see Kelly, I called Kelly back and asked if they can do at least 100.00 better than I was quoted. She said she could do it 11.00 less than the other dealer offered because it was the same discount they give to Police. I am so appalled and insulted with Battley Cycles for stating they give Police discounts over regular or good customers, I would never buy anything from them. She pointed out , Police risk there lives, Hog wash! If more of them got killed, you would not see as many joining but riding around in a car with AC all day is a lazy mans or womans job. By the time they get to a robbery, its over and when they pull someone over for speeding etc, after a minute you will soon see 5 more police cars there. Every place I have worked, theres always a cop asking if they give them a discount. Most police are on the take in some way or another and have there hand out, but all they do is harass people, steal and are professional liars. I am not supporting a prejudicial company like Battley and recommend people who need Harley parts go online and get 20% off rather than deal with a company who only supports Police and not good customers like you. I also would like to add, it is police department policy that, Police are NOT allowed to accept gratuities or ask for discounts as an officer.

My experience with Battley, just the facts. 1. Bought a used sportster- before I paid for it, took it to Battley to get it checked out - presumably an inspection from harley dealer ON a harley bike is supposed to mean something. 2. They passed it with flying colors. Even gave me a state inspection sticker. 3. Bike breaks while riding it from the dealership to my house - electrical failure. 4. In the week that follows I buy a new battery to eliminate the simple obvious failure - symptoms remain the same, bike has an electrical failure. 5. I take it back to Battley hoping they feel some remorse for having passed a defective bike (which I then spent a lot of money on), and that they would do a better job the second time around. Took it in on Saturday, they tell me a full electrical diagnostic will be done by Tuesday. 6. I call on Tuesday - not done. I call on Wednesday - not done. I call on Thursday they tell me they cant do the diagnostic at all because I need a new battery, which I can buy from their shop. I tell them the battery IS new. No response, no testing until I pony up for yet another battery. I ask them to test the stator AC output - no need for a working battery or anything, just start the bike and hook up a multimeter to the stator leads - they refuse. 7. Finally they call, as I get ready to go and pick up the bike - they tell me the stator is bad. Charge me $550 to replace it. 8. I take the bike home after they replace the stator - same problem persists. 9. I finally change the voltage regulator on my own, and fix the problem. So yeah, I learnt my lesson.

I wanted to take a moment to personally thank the staff at Battley Cycles for the time and attention that I received during my motorcycle purchase. I was buying from another state and conducting the entire transaction by phone and e-mail making it a bit more difficult for all parties involved. I had the pleasure of dealing with Andrea Moreno in the finance office. She was instrumental in working out a very difficult titling situation due to the states involved. In order to get it done, she had to make several calls to me and to my bank. She was able to come up with creative solutions for a complicated process. She was friendly, helpful and responsive and I really appreciated the additional effort that was required. My salesman, Todd Dibell, patiently stuck with me as it took several days to work out the issues and then did a remarkable job of dealing with the added difficulty of coming to terms on the bike having never met me face to face. He was professional and courteous and if it weren’t for his willingness to put in the extra effort, we would not have gotten this done. I am looking forward to taking delivery on my new (to me) Ducati (yes, it’s red!) next week and meeting the team at Battley for the first time so I can thank them in person for everything they did to help me get exactly what I wanted. Sincerely, Maria Trent

This is a very special place for me and my family. In February 2015 my adult son was diagnosed with leukemia. I worked on numerous ways to help raise money for his family; one of which, was to put together a benefit poker run. I approached Big John Hardison at the dealership, to see if they would help me put this together, they not only said "yes" the whole dealership jumped in with both feet. They assisted me with the "know how" of how to get the sponsors, the gift donations, and of course the riders. We had a great and very successful event, raising over $6,000 in one day. This could never have been done without all the guys and gals of Battley stepping up to lend my family a hand. I have had my bike serviced with them, and I highly recommend you work with Ron in the service department, as his word is gold. I cant leave out the personable folks in the sales department, as they have been assisting me and a friend with upgrading our rides real soon. After being a customer for many years, I can clearly see why this business just keeps growing. I cant recommend a better place to work with, when it comes to any of your motorcycle needs.
