Let me tell you about their warranties , west marine is big on selling you something under the guise of how strong and guaranteed their warranties are let me tell you , I have experienced just the opposite . Bought a taylor made bumper 12 years ago in slidell , told me it had a lifetime warranty any problems bring it back and they would exchange it free of charge , also bought a maranco 30amp power cord 5 year waranty .cord malfunctioned little over 4 years .brought both of them back with the receipt for the power cord . Really never expected a full refund for the power cord ,but did expect it to be pro rated on th purchase of another one .explained all this to the young man at the counter . He tells me he would have to get his manager ,chris , who was in the back of the stockroom . Young man comes back out and tells me chris told him to tell me that , WE CANT DO ANY THING FOR YOU BUDDY ! The manager wouldnt even come out to talk to me

The manager there is the only helpful person that works there apparently. I went in there weeks ago, and he was the only person in the store. He was so helpful! Today I go in there, and there are 2 girls working, one with black hair and I believe the other was blonde... no one else was in the store. I was there for 15-20 minutes, and no one acknowledged me. I went there to buy ALL of my required needs (new boat and I wanted all new stuff).
