If youve been to one Academy, youve been to them all. Department layout is the same as all other locations that I have been in. I find that this store has a better selection of firearms and ammunition than other locations within southeast Louisiana. Best selection of Magpul accessories in the area. Although, you should check your prices before buying. Better deals can be found sometimes online or at other big box sporting goods stores. Great selections of fishing tackle and hunting gear. Employees here are always very helpful and they dont seem as though you are a nuisance to them. If they dont have something in stock, employees are willing to see if its available online and get it ordered for you.

Really great prices, friendly staff, and a huge selection no matter your sport. I much prefer Academy over their main competitors store. This particular location for some reason has more of a selection than most other I frequent though. Not sure how stock and stocking works between stores but they always seem to have something at Northshore that catches my eye and I never seem to find it at another location.

Went there to find good deals on the local sports team apparel. A lot of the selection was picked over and had trouble finding my size. Would have spent more money if I were able to find reasonably priced t-shirts in my size. $30 is too expensive for a T-shirt.
