Id rate this lower, but theres no option for "ZERO." Ive lived in the area for almost 7 years now, and Ive rarely bought products from this store, because their prices are somewhat ridiculous. However, I have decided never to darken their door again, after todays experience. I had a pistol I want to trade, and I know its not terribly popular, so I expected to be turned down. That normally would not induce me to negatively review a business, but my experience did. I went in on the weekend and was informed none of the employees on duty that day could make a trade, so Id have to come back when the manager was in the store. I went back on Monday and spoke with one of the employees, who took my pistol over to the manager, who was sitting in a chair behind the counter. He simply said "no," then said to me--without even getting up from his chair and looking me in the eye--"we dont take those here." Like I said, I was prepared for a negative response, but to not have the common courtesy to come over and tell me "no" face-to-face is ridiculous. Customer service is his job, and he failed at even the basics of it.

Have not purchased a gun there as we are still in the process of finding the right match to fight our needs and budget but I will say when we went in they were very helpful in letting me handle the guns I was interested in and answering all my questions. I thought they were very nice and I actually learned a few things. The prices are better than the other gun shop in town and the staff is much more willing to help. I did not get a "snooty" feeling at all when we went in. I would definitely recommend this store if you want to be able to ask questions and handle the guns (you must have your FOID card) without feeling like youre a nuisance. They actually WANT your business.

I was considering buying some ammo for a gun of mine here, until I read this review. Later that night my wife told me about her experience with the guy running the store. She was trying to purchase a gun through him for Christmas and stated that he was very rude, and short with her. Must suck to know that he/they missed out on a $1000+ purchase, plus ammo for that gun at any point it is needed. I would not recommend this store.

I stood there for 20 minutes waiting for someone to answer a question and no one ever walked out to the counter at all. I walked around the whole store looking for someone but had no luck. I walked out and called the store from my car. When someone answered the phone, I told them that I had been in their store and no one was around to assist me. And after all of that, they still didnt have the size I was looking for.

Everytime I go in there the employees have been rude and demeaning. I am a combat veteran and former Marine, all I wanted to do was look at a rifle that I was considering buying and the guy had the audacity to ask me if I knew how to use it. If anyone did in that store it was me! And I spent over $1000.00 in there one day and they were still rude and non-outgoing to me. Talk about your hometown stuck up jerk store...

Ive always been greeted at the door and asked if I needed help finding anything. Purchased several items last visit (ball glove, bat, batting gloves, shoes) but couldnt find a pitching rubber. They had none on the shelf, but the guy came up with one from the warehouse in back---choice of two sizes--so if you dont see what you want, just ask and they probably have it. BTW, great baseball glove selection; bats, too.

This store is better for team purchases and bulk orders. Buying individual items can be a bit pricey. The staff didnt seem very eager to have me there just browsing around. Kind of gave me an "if youre not going to buy something, please leave" feeling. Unless you know what you want before you step through the door, I would not recommend shopping here.

A place where you can find your sporting needs. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. If its not in the store they have a staff that will assist you in finding your items. From time to time to you may also find good discounted athletic shoes. The local high schools can find their school apparel.

Management & workers only interested in making the sale. Not at all interested in giving back to the community, even to their most loyal customers (as weve found out two years in a row). Trying to support local business, but after dealing w these guys, Ill gladly go to the large chain stores.

Bought a walther g22 rifle from curt smith then decided to trade it in for a 10/22 and curt smith, the people i bought it from wont take it on trade saying that the g22 is hard to sell, if they would of told me that the g22 was hard to sell i would have never bought it in the first place,

I shopped around (Bass Pro, Cabelas, etc) and the price here was in line with everyone else. Bought it here because close to home, dont have to wait an hour at the gun counter (Bass Pro) and the Staff was very nice.

Very Nice Employees, Once I got there they asked me what I wanted. They have very nice selection between Rawlings and Wilson gloves. Very nice local store. Plan on going there everytime.
