This location is close to my home, but I will gladly take the time to drive 3Omins or 40 mins to other Pe+cos (or other stores altogether.) I have been treated on more than half my visits like a child by the older more experienced employees. The male manager Mike (l believe) was very helpful and understanding as were the whole of the younger staff. Since the location change of the store, I have noticed improvements and the housing of all animals and Im very pleased to say that the younger staff is becoming more and more knowledgeable about the animals and are also willing to learn more about what I can offer towards pet care as well. Overall, the store setup especially the Aquatic setup is very visually pleasing and the store is fairly clean except when Associates are cleaning Isles during the day and supplies are late about to where you cannot access different parts of the store. My biggest upset what the Aquatic section is the cards of pet information and prices are scattered all about many many feet away from where the item is actually located and the cards themselves are very nasty-looking.

Awful. I went there to purchase a leopard gecko, but I was disgusted by the conditions they were kept in. Leopard geckos should never be kept in sand, as it can cause impaction, leading to severe intestinal damage and death. Even worse, one of the babies was underneath a hide, appearing to be crushed. I couldnt find anyone to help, since staff was so short. I reccomend the PetsMart by Barnes and Noble, it is very close by and they actually know how to properly care for their animals, and they have multiple people in all areas of the store, ready to help.

I cannot fathom the reasoning behind the management there. Short version: I wanted to get my dogs nails trimmed but because they were slow they decided to close early. This would be fine except that there was no one else there to provide the service. Per the manager this was totally acceptable. I mean theres payroll to consider screw the fact the sign clearly says 8 not 730. I dont blame the groomer she did offer to clock back in but I didnt want to be that person. So I guess the moral of the story make sure to work around petco s schedule not your own.

I had the best experience here at the grooming salon. My pup, Shalom, has a great fear of her nails being trimmed, but the girls here worked with her SO well! they spent time with her before taking her in to let her warm up to them each time. They remembered her every time, and continued to make me and Shalom feel so comfortable. A completely different experience that petsmarts grooming salon right down the road. I moved to a different state, so I sadly cant use them anymore!

Never take your dog here to be groomed. They barely trimmed my dogs nails and she didnt smell as clean as when I take her to the summerville petco. Within a week my dogs nails need to be trimmed again. Not only that but I was charged extra for them to clean her and not put her in a cage. I waited for her to be groomed so I dont understand why that was necessary. Although I wouldnt have cared about the extra charge if they just did there job.

This store is fantastic. Peggy in the freshwater fish department knows her stuff. I have been back a few times, and love this store. The only downside is, the store is on the small side, so the variety of fish is not huge. But they ARE all healthy. And the freshwater plant selection is incredible. I highly recommend this location, and I will be back for more fish and supplies.

The grooming department is fantastic. Amber is great with my dogs and she always does her best to help them feel comfortable. The only reason Im not giving 5 stars is how they keep their reptiles, which almost every pet store does poorly.

This Petco is awesome but Peggy ruins it with her sour attitude and horrible customer service. I would be looking for a new employee. I go to petsmart now because of how awful she is.

Great large selection of treats and food. Personally I think the prices for most items are on the high side but with coupons you can find it evens it out.

Fish department always looks filthy, it takes many, many minutes to even get anyones attention.. And most of their fish are too ill tp be sold anyways.
