I did not purchase a vehicle from them but have been trying to get one fixed...and fixed...and fixed. I took my 04 Dakota to them due to a friends dealing with Frank Shoop for 30 plus years. Lets say its been a down hill experience from the start. They apparently do not even keep up with their own notifications from the Corporate repair people, and then I was lied to several times. I tool the vehicle into them with a missing in the engine engine code P0300, They charged the 100.00 just to look at it, Their conclusions multiple misfires all over the 5 of the six cylinders. They wanted to charge over 300.00 for a compression check. I refused and took the truck home and tested it myself. all but the passenger front cyl testes 108, 110, 105 etc. The truck had 125,xxx miles on it. No fluids were interchanging so heads werent warped. Took it back to them same day and relayed this information to them. So they took it into the shop and the Dodge Service writer Mr M. wrote it up and said they would call me later with what they found. Later they told me heads. So I asked Mr M whats the process to get my truck fixed. He said the heads needed worked on. I asked how much to replace them? He walked to the parts dept then came back. 900.00 ea. OK!? He then said we can send them out to be fixed to a local machine shop, Would take a couple of days to find out what needed to be done. Later I get a call and the heads are not warped according to the mechanic Mr Z, but the valves are leaking. Thats whats causing the missing. They told me this was a very common problem with the 3.7L engine and the 4.7L as well. And they had car to preform the same repair on after mine. So I told him to fix my truck and if hey could put better valves in it to prevent this from happening again. THEY had the machine MILL the Heads {according to Chrysler that will reduce the distance needed in the timing chains and is not recommended}....... This Corporate Direction was found out later after I had the "FIXED" truck back and within 45 miles it was missing and threw the engine check light again. The right side head was now TOO short and causing the missing. NOW, before this point, I HAD ALREADY PAID 2265.xx Dollars for the first REPAIR. The way the Dealership found out this information was they could NOT figure out why it was MISSING LIKE CRAZY and had to call the Corporate Repair people to find out the problem. I spoke with them about this and they said that a new head was needed. I asked who is going to PAY FOR THEIR MISTAKE. At first they wanted ME to PAY. I said NO WAY. Then they wanted me to pay the labor of 650.00 and they would pay the rest.....AGAIN NO WAY. So then they reluctantly repaired the right side. I asked how much the Mill shop removed from the head(s). They said they already called and NO ONE KEPT RECORDS of the specifications. REALLY!!! I was concerned that the left side would develop the same problem. They said the left side was not out of specs. I asked them how they knew that..."well its not missing on that side". NOW for the SECOND TIME the truck is missing so bad that it backfired and was shaking the truck so hard I thought the trucks dash was coming loose. So AGAIN I called them, and called, and called, and called then finally spoke with MR M, his response was "well sounds like the problem youve been chasing from the start." I replied NO YOU WERE TO HAVE FIXED THAT PROBLEM SO DON"T TRY THAT ON ME. I want my truck fixed, You all caused this problem by milling the heads. SO I have an appointment several days away to have them take a look at it. AND I was able to get MR M to agree to look at it for free, BUT then "WE" will need to see what the problem is and figure out what to do at that point. AGAIN REALLY?!?!?!? So I will be writing another REVIEW/TRUTH about the experience with FRANK SHOOP in Georgetown KY.

The first time we purchased a used Jeep for 10 grand cash and planned on getting rid of it soon anyway. It was pretty bad. After about 4 months the heater stopped working, and it was dirty inside when we got it. So a week ago we went in and they had a Charger. I dont remember if it was a 2013 or 2015. Either way they wanted online about 24 grand and it had mileage in the 30s. The car was being driven and had personal things like, listerine and asirine in it. We were told the manager had been driving it. Well thats putting mileage on the car, and it wasnt clean inside. Not like a car you are about to pay 24 grand for. We drove it, those cars arent all that, my Challenger is MUCH nicer. It wasnt even leather interior, just had a hemi. So we went in, they ran our credit, etc, came to the desk with a piece of notebook paper with a nuber on it....almost 700.00 LOL! I pay less than that for my Challenger that I ordered brand new which cost me nearly 20K more. So we were like how did you arrive at that number? Interest? Give us a break down? He goes away, comes back with a new number, 500 something, still just scribbled, no clear example of how they arrived at the number, just that we got 15% interest. Well then we were like "What are you giving us for the trade in value" the sales guy wasnt sure. Honestly, they wasnt sure of anything other than they wanted no less than 430 ish for this car and how they just went from 600 to 400 in price because we pitched a fit is unknown to me. LOL this place is pretty bad. Its kind of redneck, the guy was chewing tobacco at his desk LOL. We went to Don Jacobs the next day and got a great deal on a really nice car for far less money than Shoop, the sales people were totally transparent, came out with a printoff of what the car was selling for, our trade value, their cut, our interest, financing, taxes, etc. We got lower interest there, higher trade in value, a free car wash every week for life, and they didnt hide anything from us. Also, the car was immaculate, super clean and nobody was driving it as a daily driver, putting miles on it, but then trying to sell it as a lower mileage car. I wouldnt send any person to Shoop. I wouldnt trust them with anything. I got my Challenger from Freedom Dodge and they were exactly like Don Jacobs and let me know exactly what I was paying for up front and worked with me....so go there for a Dodge. Ive had the car 3 years and put 67K miles on it and never had it in the shop once. :)

DO NOT waste your time speaking to MORGAN. He will tell you anything thru phone or text to get you to come to the dealership. On Friday 09.09.16 he contacted me as a follow up call regarding a jeep for my daughters "Sweet 16th Bday" on 9.10.16, as I called on 09.06.16 inquiring. He informed me the manager would Sell it including taxes and all for the amount we offered. He informed me I wouldnt be sorry, and the jeep did have a problem, but they Replaced the battery, and it works perfect now! Multiple questions were answered dojo early. My husband drove 3 hours to the dealership in Ky from Ohio to purchase the jeep & MORGAN had ironically left for the day!! (He had requested a text when my husband left home to get jeep.) The jeep was parked on the back of the lot, full of rusted areas, and the windshield had a hole in it like a bullet with a sticker covering it. It wouldnt start, then once it did it wouldnt stay running. Prior to my husband leaving to get it, Morgan reassured me via text and call that the jeep had a rough ride as expected, but it was in great safe condition, and he would buy it for his own child or his teenage brother if he was looking to purchase something. The pics online are very misleading! He knew it was for her 16th bday, and it was in horrible condition. I informed him 2 days later in text that I didnt appreciate him lying to us, wasting our day, and misleading us about a piece of junk, and we love our daughter, and will not place her a Jeep in that condition! His reply via text Informed me he was "too busy, and have a good day." ****The manager and salesmen are aware of his lies, and the manager must support his actions because he is still employed at Shoops!
