I had a really solid experience with John Moore at Atlanta Used Cars. As with any buying experience, the best advice I can give is do your research, come prepared, and expect nothing. When I say expect nothing I dont mean it in a way that you wont get solid customer service. But I do mean it to say that if you come in the door *expecting* a negative situation, youll be biased towards the negative throughout the process. I chose to focus on the vehicle first and foremost because they had 1 out of 34 total in the country available for purchase. I was prepared with the carfax and wanting a mechanic to take a look at the car. The last part is something I had to remind myself to do. Its easy to take something personal if you already feel influenced by someone elses negative review. I fell into the same experience (at first) as some of the negative reviews. I came in *expecting* to deal with a less than stellar experience but at the end of the day I was wrong. John was professional, helpful and did his part to keep me informed after I expressed interest in the vehicle. I had a slight concern that the vehicle was "too good to be true" like some reviewers who mentioned by the time they were ready to purchase the car was already gone. Pricing is a *great* thing about Atlanta Used Cars in Marietta. They have some of the most competitive prices around. Even more so if youre looking for something specific on their lot. For every concern I had about the vehicle I was interested in purchasing, John met those concerns with tact and a no-nonsense attitude. I requested to take the car to an independent mechanic and he allowed me to do so and didnt pressure me into rushing right back, or rushing the mechanic to do their inspection. When the car came back I was able to do my own test drive as well. The car was as stated with a clean carfax, and with the features listed in the ad. To that end, with the car in hand and checked out, I had my financing in order and a few signatures later, I drove off the lot, pleased. At one point I *was* so frustrated I emailed John to say I think I was going to move on and had already contacted another dealer who was out of state (again, I knew specifically what I wanted, which was hard to find). To his credit John was respectful. He never attempted to pressure or co-erce me. When I asked him about the lack of response he mentioned he didnt have much to report back as the car was still having some work done (battery replaced for example) and was not back on the lot as yet. The salesmen arent there to hand hold from start to finish when they are busy with other customers and requests. I couldnt take something personal if things didnt progress as quickly as I would have liked because I did have fears that someone else may see the vehicle and would make a move before I felt comfortable in moving forward. To that end Ill say I do feel that this car purchase was worth leaving an honest, unbiased review. They did seem busy, but in a way that wasnt rude. Outside of putting down a deposit, if you truly want to hold the car, there are no guarantees the vehicle will be there 5 days after your first test drive while you think it over. If youre serious about buying, they are serious about selling. But do your research, be prepared and expect nothing and youll end up getting a lot. If someone tells me they are looking at vehicles online and AUC has it, I have no problem at all recommending they check it out and will certainly recommend John Moore as someone who is professional and great at what he does. I too was afraid I was going to end up with a bad experience or even a lemon of a car. But I was patient and got the car checked out in a timely manner in a way that wasnt detrimental to their bottom line in trying to sell it. I was able to find exactly what I wanted right here in town vs. having to fly to Chicago, buy a vehicle and drive back to Georgia.

Who: Derek (salesman) What: Mercedes GL450 When: July/August 2012 I went to this dealership because they had the lowest advertised price around for the particular car I was looking for. Arrived and was greeted by Derek; made his job easy, as I was only interested in the one car. He pulled it up and let me take it out for a test drive. After driving it I inspected the interior... I thought they could have cleaned it up a bit before displaying it for sale. The truck also needed tires almost immediately. I opted to take it in for an inspection at Mercedes-Benz of Buckhead, at my expense of course. Mercedes found a few issues with the car, as you would expect in a used car. So, while it wasnt the "best" overall of the GL450s I had seen locally, the price reflected it so it was fair! I went to the dealer with the report from Mercedes and the fact that the truck needed tires and we worked out a purchase price and details on the issues found in the inspection. They agreed to take care of the more costly issues and went above and beyond by performing some regular maintenance for me as well (I bought all of the parts/oil/fluids/etc for the services). Shortly after it was all said and done and I had brought the car home and was driving it daily, one of the air suspension shocks on the front of the vehicle failed. This was a huge expense and I was upset at first that I had just bought a car and this had happened. The dealer STEPPED UP once again! I called to ask if they would help me out and they agreed to install the new shocks free of charge if I purchased them!! I bought the shocks, they installed them and all has been well with my car ever since! They offered me financing, they offered me a warranty, they offered to sell me another car and they offered me a drink... all good! PROS: Best price around, decent selection, willing to work with buyer to make a good deal for everyone! CONS: Could detail the cars a little better before displaying. Oh, and Im still (6 months later) waiting for that second key Jay promised me!! Maybe, hell see this review and send it... or maybe Ill go by and yell at him a little to remind him!! ;-) OVERALL: Do your research, check out the car youre buying (after all, its YOUR responsibility when buying a "used" car) and go to this place and get a good deal!! Thanks guys, Ill be sure to check you out when its time to buy again!

Well, I was SO excited to find a car after 10 months.. And so excited they let me test drive it for almost a week or so. While test driving it, several lights came on, so I brought it to their attention, promised it would be sent to a dealership to repair, they signed a we owe customer the following ie. diagnosis/repair suspension..which is what went out. Seeing how my husband worked previously with several of the employees there in the past in the car industry. We didnt think anything other than they would have the car in top notch condition when we signed the deal. Well, we were wrong!! Let me make myself clear, I dont drive much so this car has been nothing but garaged, washed and babied since we took purchase of it late December. I have to say after texting and saying that the same lights were on again, no response other than a referral of a place to look at it and told you bought as is. Well, it broke down on March 1, 2016, not even 90 days after purchase. Once towed to a reputable 33 yrs repair shop, I was informed wires had been spliced and stretched to make repairs and that my suspension is gone, which caused major damage to the tires which are VERY expensive to replace to, now granted this car is only a 2012 with 67k miles on it. I am disappointed to say that the only response I am getting is that it is my responsibility to repair the vehicle and the run around on maybe ordering parts of Craiglist, to help lower my bill. Please be aware that if you purchase from them, this is what you will receive second hand products, someone that has NO knowledge of repairing high line vehicles, and they do not have a service department just a wash bay. I wish the outcome would have be different, I know I was taught to do anything in my power to make a purchase or transaction right at the end of the day even if you have to take a loss. Also, I would suggest that if you can you get your own financing to before purchasing from them if you decide. BUT remember once you sign, you own the car problems and all no matter what..$5600 was mine. I can say that I have learned my lesson and will NEVER buy used again from any dealer friend or not.
