Extremely disappointed and annoyed. So 2 weeks ago I bought a new car which I was super excited about... the day after I bought it, the check engine light came on. I immediately emailed the guy who sold it me and he said that it was in great condition and passed inspection. Brennan informed me that there wasnt anything wrong with it but to go ahead and schedule an appointment with their service department to look over... okay cool, so we take it in and they inform me that I have to pay them like $159 to do a diagnostic!! When I can take it somewhere else and they will run it for free to start with and second it should be complementary considering Ive owned the car for 2 days and its their mistake. So I email him again very angry and he said he understood the frustration and after I get it looked at, to let him know and he would talk to Logan and Jamie to see what they can do. (Also insisted that I was offered warranty for it for problems like this to sign up for, which I wasnt because I 100% would have for this exact reason. But annoying I wasnt.) Anyways after I let him know what the problems were, he said that I bought it as is and now there is nothing they can do. It is one thing to buy something as is and know the problems it has rather than buying as is and assuming youre being sold a car without immediate issues to fix. So I have to bare $2000 extra in mechanical issues to fix after having the car for 2 weeks? Makes complete sense.. aside from the fact that if I wanted to spend that much extra I would have got a better functioning car from a more honest company. Like the fact that some of it is worn rear breaks and rotors and in desperate need of an oil change and transmission fluid. Not huge issues on that end but obviously wasnt looked over before being sold. Also like how could you completely ignore 3 major engine misfires? Of course they really push for referrals though.. well word of mouth goes a long way and I am recommending my family who are in the market to go somewhere else. I get just trying to get a sale because my career is also commission motivated but I at least care about my clients and always hold to my word. Of course im still in love with my car, but if I was looking to pay for repairs, I would have just fixed the car I already had. Everyone I worked with was extremely friendly but no longer impressed.

While on vacation in Iowa my car decides to break down. Of course I need a car, I have to get home "MN" in 2 days. My son Josh & I head to McGrath in Hiawatha. We were greeted by Randell Bockoven, thee most helpful & polite gentleman! I feel as if we have know each other for years as we sat & talked about my up north neck of the woods area as Randell is from Minnesota as well. I kind of had an idea of what I wanted for my next car "PT Cruiser", as my son & I had already checked out the inventory on the web before we left his house. Randell was determined to get me into this car. He had offered to show me a few other cars but I think my heart was already set on my dream car, PT Cruiser. I have to say if any of my friends or family reading this or anyone out there, if you are in need of a new or used car... Please go see Randell at McGrath in Hiawatha. You will be greeted with excellent service with a friendly smile. You will walk out with an even bigger smile as you will have just had the best experience you could have at a dealership. Thank you Randell for the excellent service & my new "to me" car, PT Cruiser. I LOVE IT!!!

Very disappointing experience, and this isnt the first time we have been dissatisfied with the service at this location. We have dealt with other McGrath dealerships in town and have been satisfied with the over all service. This particular dealership has been terrible since the days it was under Lithia. We had hoped things would improve when McGraths acquired the dealership, but it has not. The problem must start with management because our repeated attempts to obtain satisfaction has been met with silence. A customer relations representative even called us (proactively, which impressed us) but when we indicated some of the issues we were having he assured us the service department manager would call us directly within 3 hours (we never asked for a time-line, so again we were impressed). However to this day (2 weeks later) we have heard nothing more from the dealership. From talking with others, our experience is not unique, the service department at this dealership needs to be over hauled by a management team that understands customer service, because it is crystal clear the issues start at that level.

I highly recommend McGrath! I had a fantastic experience all the way through the process of purchasing my vehicle. Michael Wronski, Internet Sales, was absolutely fantastic to deal with. He was very helpful and understanding with what I was looking for in a vehicle. Friendly and open to conversation. Taylor Drahn was the salesperson we dealt with when we arrived to McGrath. Again, very friendly and easy to deal with. He reinforced the idea that I had made the correct decision in coming to McGrath. He was absolutely wonderful to deal with. Ashley (please forgive me as I cant remember her last name) was also extremely friendly and made all the mountains of paperwork seem like nothing at all! Everything went extremely smoothly and easily. They were very busy when we were there and I never felt less than the most important client they had. I was always in the loop about how long each step would take, how long I might expect to wait, etc. All-in-all, great job to the folks at McGrath! They will definitely be seeing me again. Kudos!!

I had the best time buying my new 2015 Volkswagen Jetta from Sean Stokstad at the new McGrath Volkswagen location! I had someone rear-end me and total my car a few months ago and the vehicle I was currently driving was something I was mostly rushed into by insurance and didnt really want in the first place. When my fiance and I went to look at the Volkswagen Golf (which he ended up buying), we met Sean who was very knowledgeable about all of the vehicles. He stressed the importance of finding the car that was right for us and something we could love forever, not just trying to rush us into buying something. Now my fiance and I both have Volkswagens and couldnt have been happier with the service Sean provided us - and is continuing to provide us! I also enjoyed the financial/paperwork service I received from Devin Wright in the businesses offices as well. Thank you, McGrath!

I started looking for a new vehicle less than a week prior to purchasing one from McGrath. Jamie Tobin and Tyler Young helped me find something in my price range that was better than I expected. Every person I talked to during the process talked about how important customer satisfaction is to McGrath and I definitely felt that each person I worked with went out of their way to make sure I was having a great experience. Jamie offered to come help me look on his day off, and Tyler spent hours with me going between the three locations to make sure I found a vehicle I loved. I ended up getting an Equinox that had more than I was hoping for, while still staying in the price range I needed. After the experience I had with Jamie and Tyler at McGrath, I would highly recommend these guys to anyone looking for a new vehicle.
