On Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, my wife and I went to Morlan-Shell in West plains, Mo.. We dealt with a salesman named Eric McGinnis. We waited while he had someone appraise our vehicle for a possible trade. The offer was not acceptable to us and we were leaving the facility. Once in our vehicle, Eric and another man came out of the building. When the other man saw my wife and me in our vehicle and had started to back out and go, the second man started berating us. He said "you didnt know if you could do a deal." I answered, what is this conversation about? He yelled some defamatory remarks at the both of us and my wife was shaken and said to me, "please leave". Which we did. I do not know why this man thought we could not be dissatisfied with a deal and go, but he was apparently not okay with our decision, but he was very aggressive and belligerent. We were embarrassed and surprised and definitely will not return. This action by one of your staff cannot be good for business. Thom Hackett Willow Springs, Mo.

Gotta congratulate Morlan-Shell for losing a sale on a new truck. I thought, in this day and age, we had finally moved beyond stupid cat & mouse, offer, counter-offer, new offer, etc. games when vehicle shopping....or did you think you could cheat me simply because Im a woman and you thought I wouldnt know any better? Did you really think I wouldnt do my homework first? Did you really think I wouldnt realize that you offered me HALF of what my current truck is worth? I dont know....maybe you try to shaft everyone and not just women. Either way, that sucks BIG time, cost you a sale at a time when vehicles sales have fallen WAY off as well as future sales since Ill never be back AND, like this review, Ill be telling everyone I know just how it is that you operate. Let me give you guys a clue....first rule of business....a happy customer tells 5 people.....an unhappy, ticked off customer tells 50 people.

I went to them for an estimate on getting the heater core replaced on my truck. After I received the estimate and took it in I was told that the estimate was for man hours only. It would be an addition few hundred for parts. They also would not listen to me that it was the heater core! Because I am female, most likely. The next day they called me and said it wasnt the heater core that it was something more simple and would only cost me around $100. I said great! Fix it. Then they called me and told me it was my heater core and the broke the housing because it was "rusty" which I knew it wasnt. By the time they were finished it cost me $250 dollars MORE than it should have. I will never do business with them again. First to give a low ball estimate, treat me like I didnt know what I was talking about, then to make it even more money??? I believe it was intentional all the way.

Took my oldest son to look at trucks today and the salesman was very rude with him. Because hes 18 he started saying oh you cant afford this boy... wouldnt answer his questions or five him the time of day.. Little did he know I was standing there with a 65k pre-approved check.
