Ever since I was a little kid, I remember grocery shopping with my father. We would go up to the deli counter and you knew everyone... they would start pulling out your meats and cheeses before you could even wave hello. They had the Daisy hot dogs in the cases and we would eat them and take the bag up to the register to pay. People were fast and efficient but most of all friendly. Unfortunately, now that I am an adult and do my own grocery shopping... (for 20 years now) I no longer shop at Jewel. The customer service has been going down for years and efficiency does not exist. I do not like the self checkout lanes and refuse to use them. I feel that I have taken someones job away and I should not have to stand there for 5 minutes fighting with a machine because it does not like that I have, what it believes to be, an extra item on my conveyor belt. I should not then have to wait for an employee to clear the machine or do whatever needs to be done before finalizing my purchase. I did not recieve training, do not get benefits from Jewel, etc. I would rather have a 70 year old woman that needs the job take 20 minutes to check me out while I smile at her and and get to hear about her grandkids...Maybe then I wouldnt mind overpaying for the items I have just purchased. I tried going back to Jewel the other night around 10PM... They did not have any cashiers/registers open. There were 4 self checkout lines with 3 employees manning that area. At that point I left my food at the register and walked out. If 2 of those employees were actually working a line Jewel would have made another sale. Complete nonsense to me.

Liquor sales are til 12a, but they gate off the Liquor Dept. at 11p (even earlier on a couple visits)-Whats the logic in this?? They do leave a limited supply of cheap booze, wines, & beers within the grocery aisles & front. (Hey, great- better than nothing! Hmm, for *some.*) However, wouldnt it make more business sense to leave out more premium ($$), along with some top selling "mid-grade" spirits & beer? Sure, this is handy for the youngins picking up last minute cheap party booze (yes, been there done that moons ago, so not trying to be biased); but what about the other bunch who work late/off-hours or are just being "random" and just want a decent bottle of bourbon or champagne to unwind to? Normally, if I prepare for a weekend or to just have certain spirits/wines on hand, I usually go to Binnys and Trader Joes. However, this is the only Jewel Ive been to that does this premium "booze jail!" ;o I figure security would be on their toes "late night." So beyond this aspect, Im just annoyed & dont get it~~~

Meat department staff seem to hate their jobs, stockers in aisles talking about how store manager running the store into the ground. All baggers are special needs/challenged individuals who make an excellent effort but Falk short consistently on safely packing and stacking groceries. MANY contents get smashed and broken before they even get into the buyers car. Also very few baggers available at all so checkers doing most of their own bagging so lines are long and slow. This store used to be much better. It has declined in the past year significantly. I frequently opt to drive out of my way to go to a different jewel.

The Jewel is clean and has adequate parking. They have the best meat department in area. The employees go the extra mile for the customer. They are handicap accessed with motorized scooters. They assist with take out to vehicles. Outstanding produce section and also Organic sections in all departments. The Managers are outstanding and provide friendly customer service. I been shopping at Jewel for. 30 years. Dont forget the Bakery! Warm baked bread and oh those Cakes. The best in town.

Go to Marianos instead!!! This is the worst supermarket Ive been to . I tried getting help finding a product and the lady said " they should be there if not ask the customer service department" of course the customer service department had five people in line all the registers had full lines because there was only three open. And Kay who is bringing me out with more worried about what time she left at eight this she was about helping me with my transaction

Prices are high unless something is on sale. I usually go to other local grocery stores for a cheaper price. Last time i was in here, most employees seemed like customers didnt exist or were in the way of their reset. The were shopping carts full of products in the aisles, almost always blocking the shelf i needed...

Just came back from a very frustrating experience. There is no one to help you find products in the store. Hardly any shopping carts at the front of the store. Cashier wasnt much help. I rather go to Aldi in Westmont.

The staff at this location are excessively slow and rude. The management staff has no interest in trying to make the store better and their are frequently incidents where there is moldy or rotten produce in he bins.

Always has my prescription which is nice to know I can always rely on this osco location when I need them. Thank you for always doing a great job as the osco in Woodridge just doesnt seem to care any more.

The managers and the staff are so nice. Lots of variety in all the foods. There is one associate that I will wait in line for everytime, cuz we get treated like family.

Jewel is a great store in general. I only give this 4 stars because they always seem to be short cashiers. No matter what time of day you can always expect a line.

Could not find product (Bauducco toast) at your store on Cass & 75th. Only one person tried to help. Know you carry it as we purchased it there originally.

Decent organization and selection, some of the check out staff are slow getting you though the line. Try to use the express lane if you can.

Phenomenally helpful staff. Knew the products, knew where they were located etc. Most of them have been here 20+ years and its evident!
