I purchased gift cards for Subway on 1/19/12 and paid for them and asked the cashier if they were activated properly. I was told of course-- that the Subway 3 pack was active by swiping the back of the 3 pack card. When we tried to use them at Subway we were told no- not active. I purchased 6 more $10.00 cards at Subway to replace the bad cards and because I had a feeling it was going to take a lot of time to straighten this out. I tried to get the money back from Jewel and was told no way would I get my money back; and it was a Subway problem because Subway has my money after I write check to Jewel. Do not shop at Jewel in Orland Park for gift cards because they do not stand behind the product purchased at the store. I have shopped at this Jewel for over 35 years- but not anymore due to price increases and really poor customer service. I have spoken to or been contacted by no less than 8 poeple(Ashley,Cheryl,Zac,John,Justin,Nick,Gerry,Jamal) with no resolution. The Jewel I knew is gone for good. My money is good anywhere and I will shop from now on anywhere except this Jewel.

Location is convenient (2 stars) but aisles are in the process of being stocked even during busy times. Many through-aisles are blocked with items to be stocked. Also, having relocated nearly all goods, return customers struggle to locate items. Stocking associates seem to have the same problem. Its a pity shopping at this store is such an unpleasant shopping experience.

This is a good Jewel location. The shelves are always will stocked. The produce is fresh looking. It can be hard to find an employee but thats all grocery stores these days.

Covenient and most of the time no overly busy. Recent update to the store made it more welcoming. They need to hire more people. Sometimes 5he wait at the deli is long.
