While shopping online I found a truck listed at Town and Country. The ad said, "just arrived!" But the only picture was a stock photo. So I looked up there website to see if it listed more info. I found many ads for Rams, but Im specifically looking for a Nissan. I was short on time, and we need to replace our vehicle wrecked by an old guy who "didnt see" before our rental goes away. Up popped a chat window covering the screen I was searching. . So I thought, "fine.. Ill ask where it is." I had already suspected it was not actually there, but I cant afford to miss an opportunity this short on time. So the lady goes threw the typical introduction. I just asked for pics and info. She continued with 20 questions. "Can I have your last name as well?" Sure... then, "When will you plan to buy?" shows up in the long exchange for some one just wanting to see whats for sale and avoid all the used car salesmanship. That question is more or less a screen to determine whether or not they want to "waist" their time on me. Im sure they deal with a lot of lookers, but the moment you insult me asking whether or not Im worth your time, its over! So I said I dont have time for all this, I suspect you dont even have the vehicle, I just want to know what you have for sale. Then I ended the chat frustrated with all the bait and switch tactics. I would have left it at that, but apparently a rep from Town and Country felt the need to call me and explain why they were lying in their advertising. She also went through the normal greeting ritual further costing me valuable time, and I quickly explained I had already chatted with a sales person. She said thats why she was calling, and then proceeded to explain at length that "Cars come in, and they are automatically posted on all the online sites, before they had a chance to check them and decide whether they would even want to keep them for sale locally, or send them out to auction." She offered this explanation as though it were perfectly plausible, and actually expected me to believe this was normal and acceptable! Im not sure why I thought this would help, but I decided to explain that perhaps they needed to change their policy!... rather than mislead customers with false advertising! This didnt even phase her. She picked right back up like a good used car salesman with her intelligence insulting diatribe! It was at this point that I decided to interrupt her, for which she suggested I didnt need to be rude, and I began to suggest that perhaps she and Town and Country didnt need to be rude waisting peoples with bait and switch tactics and false advertising! In the middle of my response, she began to talk over me and it wasnt going pretty. After I finished my sentence in a voice loud enough to be overheard from her loud imputance, I just caught the words, "...and if you dont like it theres a forum where you can express your opinion! " So I am! How much insult to intellect do you have to tolerate? If Town and Country were to purchase a robot machine to harass everyone in the state to come buy a car would they say, "Let me explain. . It was the machine. .." and actually expect people to walk away and think... oh, that explains everything! Now I understand! Please forgive me for insinuating anything against Town and Countrys policy and protocol. Those pesky machines are entirely the problem! ? Do they really believe customers are that stupid? The obvious answer is yes! They do. So if you enjoy being salesmanned and insulted by used car people who want to make your experience something to write about... Town and Country is the place for you! Otherwise, I suggest you look for a more honest and thoughtful dealer.

I have been searching for a jeep wrangler for awhile when I stumbled apon a few pre owned jeeps with town and country bloomington. I have a hectic schedule so I inquired about the jeeps on the lot via email. I was immediately called and was informed that the jeeps were still available for a test drive. When I arrived, however I was informed the jeeps had been sold no big deal these things happen. Another sales associate informed me it wasnt sold that day however but several days previous to my inquiry. This bothered me as I had just talked to someone stating they were available I even left work early to assure I made it in time to take it for a test drive. The sales person that informed me they had sold the vehicle wanted to make sure and offered to drive over to the service lot. When he came back he stated that there was one same mileage same price of 16500 different color and newer. I stated well if its the same price I will test drive it perhas the guy i spoke with on the phone was confused. They had to search for the keys and had difficulty locating them. Once found we drove down to the service center to take it for a drive. Once we were there I was informed that the other salesman was incorrect and the jeep was listed for 18500. Since we were already there I didnt see any harm in driving it, but was a little disappointed that once again i was misinformed. When we returned to the dealer I was asked what I thought. I was honest and stated I liked it better at the 16500 price. The sales man stated he couldnt go that low but was willing to see what they could do. As I sat there for awhile he came back with a break down of the vehicle not offering any sort of price lower than what he offered which is why they kept me waiting in the first place. By this point my patience was dwindling. The salesman then asked what it would take for me to leave with the vehicle and I wrote down 16500 which is what I was originally told. He walked a away stating there was no way they could remotely come close to that and never even offered what they could work with. He then hands me the break down with a listing of 19998 pre tax for the same vehicle I was told was 16500 and then 18500. When I informed him of this he made me feel like a liar by stating he never quoted the vehicle at that price. He never even attempted to fix the mistake nor work with me to find a solution. I felt as if my time was not valued because I was looking at pre owned. They completely wasted my time and I felt as if they didnt care to have my business at all. I left feeling worse then when i arrived and as if i wasted their time by even being there. I never even received a follow up call when I emailed my converns to the company. That to me is just horrible service and no way to run a business.

My boyfriend made an appointment, several days in advance, for a tune-up for his 300 SRT-8. We dropped his car off at the time of the appointment, and when he called several hours later to follow-up, they hadnt even started the tune-up. They said they didnt have the parts, and were taking care of getting them there, but in the meantime, they found about $600 worth of additional work that "needed done". He explained that all he wanted was the tune-up, so they told him it wouldnt be done until the next day (after making an appointment and already having it for several hours afterward). The next day, he called about mid-day, and was told that someone was JUST THEN on his way to Indianapolis to get the spark plugs needed for the tune-up, and that it wouldnt be done until the end of the day. Just a ridiculous amount of run-around for a pre-scheduled appointment. We will never use this service department again. Why bother when we can go to a dealership in Indianapolis, that will probably charge less for the tune-up, not try to up-sell on repairs, and can get the job done when they say they will, rather than stringing the customer along?
