I dont know WHY Home Depot has so many employees. They sure arent there to help customers find anything. I was in the store tonight, asked for help at customer service. There were 3 people behind the desk....having a conversation with each other. I was told "what you are looking for is over there"[the employee pointed to the wall]. I had questions about product. Do you think someone came to help? NO. I found what I needed myself. I then went to look for the next Item I needed. Found them, but had questions. Back up to "customer service". Now only 2 people there....one was busy with a customer. I asked for help. She said that the guy for that dept. was with a customer and would help me in a minute. The guy finished with his customer....then proceeded to put away items that he had in a shopping cart. He made eye contact with me 4 times before asking if I needed help. I was going to get a light fixture. He kind of answered questions for me. I then asked about bulbs for the fixture. His response was that I needed 38s. All bulbs are in aisle 1. He didnt even OFFER to come help me. I was in that aisle looking for 38s, 2 other employees watching me, not coming to help. I proceeded back to customer service. The woman was now alone, with a LINE of people. I sat the fixture on the counter and said, "Im going to let the guy [Tony is his name] from the lighting department that didnt want to help me find bulbs for this fixture put it away. By then, the 2nd lady was back and asked what the issue was. I explained that I needed bulbs, couldnt find them and that Tony was not willing to help me find them, nor did he offer to help. I then said that employees at that store are as useless as tits on a bull. Several people in line LAUGHED and nodded in agreement! The woman wanted to ring me up and I said, "Ill go to the self check-out since I had to do everything else myself. I then went to the self serve section to check out. The guy there asked if I found everything I needed. I said, "no". If I could give them a negative star, I would!

I have mixed feelings... Associates Victor answered and was helpful and accomodating with the natural gas grills questions we had, Mike S was friendly and efficient with assisting us in choosing a storm door as well Paulette in appliances, each with a service with a smile... Yes the way you should treat your customers. When Rockey at the customer service desk said I can ring you up here... The the whole customer service experiences imploded. She huffed, rolled her eyes... Let me add please get that lady a new mouse for her PC, it wasnt working and she kept smacking it down. Her demeanor went down and so did the whole customer service experience. They offer Free Delivery on the gas grill, we were told delivery would be made between 6A-8P, we are still waiting. My advice to David, the store manager... A Customer Service representative should smile, not show an ounce of frustration to any paying guest. This put such a bad taste in out mouth. Maybe some much needed customer service training should be to key "customer service desk employees". A customer should not feel like an inconveince to any associate and that is how we left the store... Feeling like a major inconvenience. I called the store around 845 to inform them that delivery was not made and go figure Rockey noted that the Grill for Will Call/Pick-up. The associate who answered the phone then aplogized several times, I then asked I have to pick up an item that wont fit in my car and when we were offered FREE Delivery, even by David She said yes (I guess they have no experience to change the order) Yes, this store definitely needs to re-train their customer service associates, she should have corrected the shipping to Delivery as we were told by the store managet. Looks as if future purchases will be made at Menards or Lowes, at least we have options.

You might choose this store to buy 2x4 studs or flowers for your garden, but never buy appliances from them!!!! I had my $2200 washer and dryer delivered, and quickly found out that my new dryer is damaged from improper shipping/delivery. Tried to call store multiple time to resolve this issue with no luck, every time we called, they told us to call manufacturer or they put us on hold. Not even single person apologized for our bad experience, not even the Paulette who sold it to us. We ended up returning it, they did not even offered us to exchange for new dryer or work it out. Stay away if you want to buy appliances, rather go to ABT. BAD AND UNEXPERIENCED/UNPROFESSIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Im sincerely let down by the service I received. It took about 2 weeks to have somebody come out to do an estimate for flooring which I paid for, only to find out for 300 square feet they estimated $3400. Labor made up more than $1000 of that charge. I got 3 other quotes all under $2700 all-inclusive. Im not impressed by the prices, and I feel like they dont care. After all, I had to find go after them to even get the quote back after their guy came out. Do your research Googlers, dont use Home Depot to help out with your service needs.

Horrible service in tool rental department. Ron is decent, but somewhat unhelpful. Some kid named Vitali had an attitude with me when there was a tiny amount of dog hair left on the bottom of the rug shampooer I rented. Told me itd be $25 for them to clean it... Offered for me to go all the way home and clean it. Had a busy day lined up so I didnt have time. He didnt seem to care whatsoever. I find that a little ridiculous. The cleaning fee costs more than the tool rental itself... Would definitely go elsewhere next time.

I am trying to place a $15K+ cabinet order with this store and the experience has been pure hell. Getting a hold or and communicating with the cabinet designer for this store is nearly impossible. I cannot leave a phone message, I do not get returns to my emails, and most of the time when I call there is no one available in the department. I have never had this experience before with a Home Depot, worked with many store. I suggest finding another store if you actual want to receive customer service.

If youre looking for anything common, go somewhere else. On 3 separate occasions I had to go in there the items were out of stock. So much warehouse space in the store and theyre out of stock of the most common items. (angle grinder, 1" black pipe, pvc elbows) The most recent experience (angle grinder) showed they had it in stock online at the store. Why have the store open if the employees will just recommend you to go to Glendale Hts or Schaumburg.

I went to this Home Depot to but a Wet/Dry vac and was able to find it relatively quickly. Went to self checkout and employee mumbled under his breath when asked to help by a fellow employee "if you cant pick it up you shouldnt be in self check-out". We found it extremely rude and disrespectful (we understand English by the way!) and we were so angry that we just wanted to leave... i dont think we will be going back anytime soon.
