The first time I went, it was great. It was a Saturday afternoon and everyone was very Helpful. We bought some items and in addition I bought a hanging plant for our patio. Got home, watered it, placed in shade like it said, all good. On Sunday I noticed that the plant looked a little sad to say, watered it and figured maybe the storm from that night affected it. Came home Monday after work, plant completely dead. Since they close early, we didnt have a chance till Tuesday to see if we could get a return. We got there right before closing, our apologies on this, and told the guy in the front that while we threw out the receipt, we were wondering if we could get store credit on the plant. He stuck his finger in the soil and said "Bone dry. Did yall water it? We dont typically do this but bring it to the front." This was a bit uncomfortable for we felt accused of purposely killing it. The cashier lady was probably the most unprofessional person I have ever met. She first accused me of being incorrect about the price, as if I was lying about it be 17.99$. Then she was went, "ugh we dont even take plants back..." Well if that was the case, why were we sent up here? And the best of all, she accused us of lying saying it probably wasnt even their plant. At this point my fiancé snapped back "yes we buy plants and purposely kill them and return them to get more money from ACE." This whole time other employees are prodding this plant going "Have you been watering it? Its completely dry." Its been dead for two days... Of course I havent watered it. Then this lady goes "oh... Are you Charles? You did buy it here..." And becomes super sweet after realizing her mistake of accusing us. After this experience, I am sad to say we will never return. Its a shame because they truly seemed like a great store until this incident.

I guess Lorenzo is not the only one whos had a racist experience. I came in yesterday for a return. I knew where I needed to be but out of respect, I stopped at the greeter, said hello and told him why I was there. He rudely directed me towards the cashiers area. I spoke to him so I guess I was the greeter in that moment. The Caucasian man before me and all other Caucasian individuals that followed were greeted with a loud "Hello, welcome to Ace Hardware! How may I direct you?" In 2017, Im guessing some people still dont respect African Americans. When I initially came in to purchase on Friday, the female greeter was very friendly and made sure someone met me in the back. My cashier that day was also very friendly to my daughter and I. I will return if I need something however, if that same guy is the greeter, I wont waste my time stopping to teach him how he should greet all customers regardless of color.

Horrible service!!!! My husband and I will never give our money to this location again. I rented the machine at 5:25pm on Sunday and my husband tried to return it at 2:15pm the next day. We got accused of taking it out on the Thursday prior! They wanted to charge us since then! that is over 5 days!!! I had to call the manager and explain. he said he would take care of it, James was his name. The women who rung me up even called me to tell me she was in the wrong, and said she would apologize to my husband and she never did. James was rude and upset that he couldnt charge us! Seriously not our problem! No one ever acknowledged my husband. Completely accused us of having it longer and was going to charge us, just so rude!

The staff at Ace Hardware is always very helpful and friendly. This seems consistent no matter which Ace you go to. However, I have had a bad experience with the steel screws they carry. I broke the heads off four steel screws out of the 16 that I used on a recent wood working project. I was only using a handheld screw driver too. Not a power drill. This seems rediculous to me. I am not sure if the hardware is any better at other stores, but I will be going to The Home Depot for future hardware purchases.

Great place, helpful staff. Sure you may pay a little more but we dont live in the suburbs people. They have an amazing selection for a city hardware store. I was looking for a headphone adapter started at Walmart (they didnt have it) went over to Office Depot because of course they will have it but walmart would have been cheaper (office Depot didnt have it) Stopped at Ace to check out their plant and "Vala!" Headphone Adapter for less then $3.

Over priced. This is the place you go when you dont have time to go all the way to a competively priced hardware store. They have tons of staff, yet somehow noone is ever available to make keys. Never sure how they stay in business.

The staff here is great and very helpful. It doesnt have tall the choices a home depot Hamas, but it as everything someone needs, this is also wherever else I go to fill up my propane tanks as it is pretty easy and well priced.

I own a home not too far from here and its always easy in and easy out. Id rather go here, pay a little extra, then to have to deal with the craziness at Home Depot if I can help it. The sales reps are pretty knowledgeable too!

Good luck trying to get in this place, they have one entrance blocked. Took 30 minutes and once your inside, well it feels like a flea market. And dont even try to pick up equipment around back. Old school here.
