I have yet to be disappointed with a visit to Chevy Chase Hardware. I cannot recall a time that I havent been greeted with a friendly "hello" as soon as I walk in the door. The employees are friendly and, this might come as a surprise to those who are used to shopping at Lowes or Home Depot, are very knowledgeable about the products they carry. Their hardware (nuts and bolts) selection is, by far, superior to that of any "big chain" store in Lexington. All that aside, you cannot beat the local experience you receive when visiting this place of business. I highly recommend you make this your first stop before searching elsewhere!

Best hardware store in the whole wide world! I love this place and go there for everything. The staff is beyond helpful and so understanding of folks like me who know nothing about tools, fixing things, etc. I cant tell you how many times I have gone in there and said "I need that stuff that you use to fix that thingy that attaches to your washing machine...." and they know what you are talking about! My house would have literally fallen apart by now if it werent for Chevy Chase Hardware. Stop by today - you will be happy that you did and I guarantee your day will be brighter!

Being a college student, I live close to this store, so I originally came because of the convenient location. This place is great. You walk through the door and you cant go 20 paces without someone offering to help. You tell them what you need and every employee knows exactly where it is (they will also know if they dont stock your item). Youre in, youre out, youre a happy customer. Parking is a little tight in front, but there are more spaces along the side of the building as well. This is my first stop for my hardware needs, so give it a try.

Thank you for your honesty when our lawn mower could not be repaired. We were charged nothing when we brought our mower in (after spending $ 300 elsewhere with it still not working) and really appreciated the honesty of the repair people who told us that it was just not worth fixing (it was 11 years old). We will be back in the future to this great community hardware store. What a treasure.

Chevy Chase Hardware is a high concentration of skilled, friendly people and nice products packed into a small space. They service small engine machines for a great price, give project advice, and are just cool to be around. If you shop there, it wont be just because you pity the poor little mom and pop stores in this corporate age; youll really get your moneys worth.

Chevy Chase Hardware has excellent service in a friendly, comfortable way. They offer, they dont hound you. When you need 4 washers to complete your project, you dont have to buy a pack of 12, you buy 4 at maybe 5 cents each. Think about the environmental effect, because you know that the 8 washers you didnt use would end up in the landfill sooner or later.

Hardware stores are hard to find these days, and good ones are even harder. This one fits into the really good category. The staff is really helpful, and they have most anything you are looking for. Better yet, they have prices that many times will beat the big box stores. What a great place to go when you need something, or just to kill a little time.

Very Very helpful i was looking for some particularly hard to find hardware which most places dont carry but they had and in stock all the way dont to something like 1.6mm which is perfect as i was in search of a 2-56 1/8. This place is definitely a good hardware store. Definitely on par if not better than Ace at finding those hard to find bits

Had a piece of furniture that had some scratches, when I went to those big box stores they had some really complicated solutions, At Chevy Chase , they just walked me over a display of some oils, helped me pick out the right color and off I went , less then 10 bucks and the problem was fixed and it only took minutes. Great neighborhood friend

This is the best hardware store in Lexington Its the last of the real, non-chain hardware stores. You can still walk in and get helped instantly! They will order odd items for you if not in stock. You can still buy a single bolt or nut. Prices are fine..do all your shopping there!

Its 12:30 and your not open. Been waiting since 12 when your posted hours said you would be open. I will change my review score if you have 2 sets of closet rollers 3/4 inch wheel, 1/2 inch offset and in line or 1/4 inch offset. Went back. They dont have 3/4 inch rollers.

Ive gotten tools and keys made here a couple times and I never have any problems. The staff will even recommend tools that might make a job easier. Overall good place close to downtown Lexington.
