I returned a Black and Decker battery charger/maintainer that didnt work well for me and I asked the customer service lady if they do price matches at the front lanes or if I would have to come back to customer service. She asked who the price match was for and I told her Amazon. She called her manager Adam G and he said that they price match it but only for a difference of $15. This is weird because your policy on site states that it will price match online competitors prices but not do the extra 10% of the difference. There was a $22 dollar difference between the same amazon prime-eligible product and the price listed at this store. I walked to the other side of the store to find this product on my own, with my fussy baby in-hand and then walked all the way back to customer service for another customer service lady to walk over to the "Manager" Adam G to tell her that he will meet me half way of the difference of the price. If he would have told me that, I would have paid for one-day shipping ($5 extra bucks) and saved the frustration and the trip. The sad thing is, Adam was hiding behind his employees and wouldnt explain why he wouldnt honor the Home Depot price match policy that is clearly listed on your site. I told his employee that I am never shopping there again. Adam lost a long-time customer over $11 of price erosion. I own rental property and plan on having a major commercial build-out for my fiancé’s coffee shop that she is planning to stand up within the next 90 days. Was the $11 price erosion savings really worth losing a customer for life? This store also has a learning opportunity on the Home Depot price match policy. None of the customer service ladies or the "manager" Adam knew what the policy was so he just went off his instinct. I’m sure this kind of thing happens a lot more than what is reported. My experience happened Sunday, April 17th around 3pm EST at the returns desk.

Last week my wife,kids, and myself stopped in for some building supplies. When asking an associate a question about a product, I was instructed that the information was on the product tag. I believe that if I wanted to read the tag for the information, I would have. I figured that the associate could have at least said hold on a second and I will gather that information for you. I worked in retail before, and I know that this type of action would not go over looked. Remember, I am the consumer, and my money does spend in other places.

Just because that guy down there who cried about being told to read the label is a dbag. If its on the label, then read it. You didnt work in retail, because its people like you who tick off all the people who do work in retail. Get over yourself and stop needing every little thing handed to you, even when the information is readily available. "I am the consumer and my money spends elsewhere" WHOOPDY DOO DUM DUM go spend it somewhere else and stop crying. Im sure HOME FREAKING DEPOT will miss your $20.

I came into the store and asked an employee whee to locate a compression fitting and pvc tubing. I was told they didnt carry it and to go elsewhere. After 30 minutes of wandering the store lo and behold there it was sitting on the shelf. Your employees need to be trained on what you do and dont have. They also need to be worried about customer service and not sitting and drinking coffee.

Well things are better with Kim around. She engages and works. Helped me with 6 sheets of plywood. Didnt avoid, came over and asked if she could help load. I was floored, told her that was messing with my head. Normally I have to track someone down. Kim is a great employee. She helped me 2 x loading and trailering my purchase. Appreciated

I like shopping here so much, I decided to get a part time job here. The employees are friendly and will help you with just about anything, from directions on how to fix something, to specking out a new project. I wish I would have started working here years ago, I would probably have switched careers.
