The employees on the sales floor were super helpful. However, The cashiers are very slow. They dont seem to know how to run the register yet. I ordered something on the REI website, went to go pick it up inside the store, the ladies made me wait for my package because they didnt know how to take it out of their system. Even though it had already been paid for online, they said they did not know how to take it out of their system. Instead of Letting me take my package and leave ,since it already had been paid for, they made me wait there for over 5 minutes. Also, dont expect things to be marked down much on the clearance rack. The hisghest discount in the store was only 20%. I will be doing my shopping on the REI website, better sales, deals, and option. I would rather pay a shipping fee than deal with incompetent cashiers who are rude.

Great store with a large selection of outdoor items. Last time I was at an REI was in San Diego, and I was impressed. I feel like Dicks and Academy Sports are more like Walmart, in that they try to carry a little of everything: fishing, hunting, camping, biking, sports etc. REI appears to sell more specific activity-related items, like hiking and camping. Not as large as Dicks or Academy but the quality of the items and brands they carry really show for it in the prices. Very clean store with helpful staff. Look forward to grabbing gear here!

As an avid REI customer from Atlanta this is my first visit to the ORL location. I have been ordering from REI online when not near or store and while living in FL. Ari helped me out thoroughly in choosing my MSR WhisperLite Universal. My objective is back-county airplane camping where liquid fuel or canister in the aircraft is not an option. This allows me to sump fuel from the tanks to use in stove.. Ari walked me through set-up, take down, cleaning, etc. He knows his stuff. Thanks Ari and REI! -Lifelong Member

Best hiking/camping/outdoor gear store Ive ever come across. Besides having an employee that was talking about the tech stuff there and had no idea what she was talking about of coarse. Other than that they have pretty much any outdoor gear you would really need. Of coarse there is always something else you could find but this place has most of the normal type of stuff.

Easily the best place in Orlando for outdoor gear. Nobody else in town can come close to the selection. Prices arent always the best but the customer service and knowledge cant be beat. Double check hours because Google has been wrong. Today (8/12) for example Google listed the store closing at 1pm when REI actually closed at 9pm.

Glad to see REI has opened close to Orlando. Love this store and todays grand opening didnt disappoint. Great store layout, smaller than other locations and reminds me of the small ones in CA. Parking could be an issue though as their lot is rather small and Publix has already shown they dont want the REI crowds in their lots.

Staff are present and caring, but not very well informed yet. Similarly, the store is beautiful and well lit, but not very well stocked yet. Both of these seem to be improving from one visit to the next but I can only share my opinion of my actual experiences. July 2017

Great place! Im so happy to have a Co-Op nearby. Great selection of quality and high-end outdoors gear. They offer classes and group outings. Overall, unless youre looking to buy a boat or a fishing pole, REI is loads better than trekking down to Outdoor World.

Went in for the fourth of July sale. Items on sale were difficult to distinguish and the savings werent much. Items online in the REI Garage werent available at the store which was a letdown.

Lacking on kayak accessories but other than that the store looked amazing. Rock climbing and backpacking and camping were well represented.
