Employee name"La Vella", was cashier at register. She just basically ignored my presence at check out because she was busy talking to someone look like her co-worker or friends. I tried to hand out my pal members card to her first , she did not take the card and continued chatting and giggling with that person. I was just invisible being to her. I patiently reminded her third time and said "here is pal card", She finally responded with rude attitude and voice that sounds like she got mad because her chitchat was interrupted, she did not even bother to looking at me all. What made me upset most was she greeted next customer who happened to be caucasian woman with full of smile and kind voice, she took care of that customer immediately without any hesitation. Apparently she did treat the customers in different manner, Being Asian American, I felt direct race discrimination for the first time in my life, A shocking and wrongful incident... my wife was with me at the time, she also felt it same way. After returned from petco, I called my colleague explained the situation and asked if I am being overreacting, they replied that they would inform the manager about what just happened or contact the headquarter directly. Petco should not handle this kind of delicate matters lightly, they should train and educate their employees harder so that no one ever should be treated this way again.

This the worse pet grooming store. The employees are rude. I took my dog there for grooming, the next day, my daughter saw fleas on the dog. I went back to petco to let them know about the situation. They told me that no pet got ever good nfected frim their store, so it couldnt have happened to my dog.. They never apologized to me. They dont disinfect the material thy use for grooming. Please stay away from this store if you dont want to make your pet sick. This happened two months ago and we are still dealing with fleas. It is an expensive process to get rid of them. It takes money and time.

nice petco, I go mostly for the fish section, which they have a very good selection of fish from common fresh and saltwater to relatively oddball and unique fish. The lady thats in charge clearly has good knowledge and advice on what to do and how to care for fish. Highly recommend you quarantine new fish however, I purchased a bristlenose pleco a few weeks back and he introduced ich into my community tank. Was easy to treat and I took care of it without any casualties except the pleco himself, but I have purchased lots of other fish upon other occasions and never had any problems.

Worst customer service. I took my dog to get groomed here and Darla (I assume she is the grooming manager or something) was extremely rude and unpleasant. My mom does not speak the best English, and Darla was very rude to her. When they took my dog out to get his hair cut, he saw us and immediately Darla turned around and rolled her eyes. Now I understand that dogs can get anxious around humans, but there was no reason for her to roll her eyes at us. We didnt plan to stand and watch them. We just happened to see our dog. Never going back there again. Petsmart is cheaper anyways.

If I could do less than 1 star I would. Very rude employees! I think they might be racist in Lawrenceville location! When I asked a question I was completely ignored. The young lady at the register was completely obnoxious and condescending, when I asked about the petsmart rewards. I hope this message reaches all the pet smart customers because I am emphatically saying not to come to the petsmart in Lawrenceville!

I love the fish and reptile department here! The staff are knowledgeable and caring to both the animals and customers. They are the ONLY store Ive seen that has a visual barrier for their Bettas! I had questions about a fee things with my new aquarium, and they spent all the time I needed to confidently go back home and care for my fish! This is the only store I will shop at for my pets for now on!

My kids love to visit this pet store...we always stay for quite a while looking at all of the animals, and the staff never seems to mind. Its like a mini zoo trip! :) We buy our cat food there. For the brand that we buy, the price is comparable to Petsmart and online prices, but the $5 rewards for every $100 spent makes Petco a better value.

Excellent grooming and dog training. Friendly staff and good prices. Also, their clinic days are the most affordable way to get your dogs shots around. At least half the price of a vets office. Weve been bringing our dogs here for a few years now.

I used to work here for about 2 years. Its a decent store with relatively knowledgeable associates. Pro-tip: go to Petco if you need help, info or lower prices, go to Petsmart if you want a better selection of fish.
