I have bought a total of 4 Angelfish from here. I havent needed to buy any more, because they were in great condition from the store, and they have had no problems since. I did return one for being aggressive and they were willing to trade it for another. They are often busy cleaning tanks, or some other chores around the store - but have always been very helpful with questions I have. I am also impressed with the amount of parts they have for different filters - I stopped in expecting not to find a gasket for a canister filter that is 20 years old, but there it was! Along with a whole wall of other parts if I ever need them. Prices are slightly higher than at big-box pet stores, I guess I expect that from any local business.

Huge selection and super informed owner. I went there to look at their selection of aquariums and compare prices. Im a fan of shopping locally since Jackson needs that kind of thing. Although the prices were a tad higher than Meijer or Walmart, it was nice to buy locally. Also Im 100% satisfied with what I bough and the information I came home with. Im switching from a 20 gallon to a 55 gallon so Im pretty nervous. They were very helpful and also gave me 15% off of everything (except the tank) when I bought a cabinet with my tank. It all also didnt fit in my vehicle and one of the girls was nice enough to offer to bring to to my house for me. I totally recommend them and will continue to go there for my pet needs :)

One of the worst store for customer service Ive ever seen. I went in looking for some aquarium tubing. This stuff comes in 3 foot lengths. They were not marked for price. Normally these run about $1 for a 3 foot piece. So i said well Ill take the rest of what you have since no one in Jackson seems to carry this tubing anymore. Once I got to the front counter the guy asks the owner how much they are each. She sees Im going to buy all they have in stock and says $4.95 each. I laughed and said good luck with that. I ended up buying it off the internet for 75 cents each. They are not only business dumb but also will try to cheat customers if they see a chance. I recommend staying away from this shop at all costs.

I used to like this store. Up until recently. I purchased 2 baby rats from here. They were sick and I didnt know. Once at home I noticed they were sneezing. I breed rats so I have a lot. I housed them in my room. In their own cage. I also have many rats in there. Well thats where the sickness started! It started in my room. Killing 5 rats. Well then this rat disease made it into my living room. Killing more rats. It then moved to my back room. It was devastating. Ive lost 13 of my rats due to this place. They lie like crazy and cant keep theyre stories straight. They continue to sell these sick rats and act like they have had no complaints! Yet I know many people having this problem. SO BUYERS BEWARE

I absolutely love the pet station! I have bought many fish from here and I still have all of them, (besides the ones my crayfish have gotten ahold of) they are very helpful, and kind. They answer any questions I have, and have all of the information I ask about. When I first went there, my fish tank was a mess, fungus, no fish, every fish I had put into the tank after cleaning it died (which were not purchased from pet station) after going into the pet station, the owner explained to me in detail how i could get my fish tank back to being healthy, and I purchased the reccomended items. After a couple of days my fish tank was healthy, and clean. I went back for fish. And have been going to them since!

This place has extreamly high prices to the point of being ridiculous. The workers are extremely misinformed with their information and have no clue what they are talking about which is scary considering they are caring for helpless animals. Worst of all they are rude! They talk to people asking questions like they are stupid. I asked them what I would use to clean excess food from a bottom of a salt water tank they told me to use a siphon. I said I was looking more along the lines of an animal such as a snail or crab, their response, me using a net. I would suggest to never go here their are many other places that will treat you and their animals much betrer

I used to love this pet store as I have never had a bad experience with the staff or the animals i have gotten from there; until now. I bought three baby rats from there after my older one (also bought from there about 6 months ago) died from a tumor. I hadnt even had them for more than 2 and a half weeks before 2/3 were dead from respiratory issues that must be due to how they are kept at the store. For the short time I had them, they were well fed and watered and their wire cage has been cleaned multiple times. Im hoping the third little boy will be okay as he hasnt shown any signs of being sick like the others; yet.

PROS: Utterly unlike the chain stores; it is not glaringly bright, cavernous, and sterile - the environment in the building is better suited for critters (and people like me who dislike the typical retail atmosphere). Large, diverse selection of fish. Knowledgeable staff. CONS: Parking lot is small and oddly shaped, can be a tight, awkward squeeze especially if you drive a larger vehicle. While you can get things here that none of the other pet stores in town sell, be aware that this is not a one-stop shop for ALL your pet needs, selection is more limited and specialized.

I bought 4 small fish on a Sunday at Pet Station. On Thursday I noticed my 2 goldfish I had for a year contracted Ich. Looking closer I saw that all the other fish had small crystals on their fins as well. I treated my tank with medication as directed as soon I noticed. Within 3 days all my fish were dead (it was a severe case of Ick that obviously spread very rapidly). I was really upset when one of my goldfish died. I know it was only a goldfish but really? I wanted more fish not to kill the ones I had already had. Will never do business with them again.

A Horrid Store. The fish always have ick. If you say anything about the fish being sick to an employee they throw a fit instead of taking care of the fish. The puppys and kittens they have are in such small cages they have no choice but to play, sleep, and eat in their own waste. The pet toys and accessories they sell are over priced. The employees are rude and if asked anything but the most basic question they have no idea what theyre doing. If you need any help or want to buy anything I would suggest Pet Supplies Plus.
