First and foremost let me say that my sales rep is a nice and professional guy and this review does not and should not reflect on him because I really left there with the impression that this is the way the dealership management operates and sales folks have little control. This could be validated by the 3 times my sales guy left our negotiation to get guidance from what I could only assume was the sales manager. Dodge Chrysler of Winterhaven falsely advertises and then banks on you being too stupid to figure it out. I found a vehicle that was somewhat to my liking at a pretty reasonable price of $29k (or so it was advertised online). I tried to negotiate a couple of thousand dollars less due to it missing 1 or 2 must have things. Instead of saying no 2 times they came back with the same bottom line price but with rearranged numbers and and the "this is special just for you" line. From what my research tells me this is called the 4 square method in car sales, specifically meant to confuse the buyer. After I said no the second time they threw in a perk, they would pay half the cost of the cloth to leather conversion and I would pay the other half. I agreed still thinking it was an average deal. He came back with the final numbers and when I tried to confirm that this was not including my trade in value and the cash I had in hand he said "no it does." At that juncture I knew I was being hustled and I asked him how in the world do they get a $29k out the door price after the trade in value and the cash I had on hand. He said the advertised internet price includes ALL applicable discounts and rebates including an active duty military discount, knowing full well that 99% of the population is not active duty military and thus does not qualify for it. Moreover, the internet listing states "Special Internet Discount" next to the price NOT something like "price includes all applicable rebates, discounts, and possible active duty military discount." as I was going to leave I got the "There is a mistake online and the wrong price was posted" line. I chuckled, of course there was (note sarcasm). They of course did not honor their falsely advertised price and Im perfectly fine with that. Im glad my hard earned money did not go to a dealership that clearly tries to prey on folks by using age old unethical sales tactics that you would expect at Honest Bobs Used Car Lot and not a manufacturers dealership. I would strongly discourage anyone from doing business with such an unethical company but if you decide to do business with said company please do your due diligence and take your time examining the numbers comparative to what was advertised. As I was preparing to leave my sales rep wanted to assure me that they were not trying to rip me off and while I dont believe he was I absolutely believe management was.

Overall, my experience was okay. I did end up purchasing a vehicle from Dodge Chrysler Jeep of Winter Haven. I do love my vehicle and Im glad I purchased it. So glad I switched to Jeep! If youre thinking about it, do it! I drove over from Tampa because the deals are better than in my area. Overall, it took about 3.5 hours to do my deal including test drive, trade-in, credit, and signing of papers. Not the shortest but not the longest experience Ive had. My salesperson was Allen and he was nice and friendly. Or at least I think it was Allen? That part was a little confusing because I couldnt exactly tell who my salesperson was. Even though I had made an appointment they didnt have the vehicle on the lot so they had to go to Fiat to get it. Not super annoying but cmon, yall knew I was coming! They let me test drive the vehicle by myself after providing my license and car insurance which I liked. I knew ahead of time the exact vehicle I wanted as I had test driven the vehicle in Tampa but it didnt have 4 x 4 so I was very happy that they had my vehicle of choice in stock. The sales floor was comfortable and there were places to sit. They offered me lunch from their catered Popeyes lunch but I declined so again, nice gesture. They gave me more for my trade in than another dealership would have given so that was also a big plus. The vehicle was advertised as having remote start but did not. The reason Im giving 2 stars is because of the credit check. One star deducted for each unauthorized credit check. I gave permission to have my credit sent to Capital One, Ally, and Mid Florida Credit Union. Your company knew I did not want to have my credit checked repeatedly. You ALSO ran my credit through USF Credit Union, TD, and Chrysler Capital. I DID NOT AUTHORIZE THOSE THREE and you know it! I should have paid attention to my paperwork when signing and I would have noticed Chrysler Capital because that is who I am now financed through. I was in such a hurry to get home that I wasnt completely reading the paperwork while signing so a fraction of responsibility of that situation fell on me. I am now having to fight to have those taken off my report. I didnt find out from the dealership - I found out from the letters that I keep receiving from the individual credit places. This is a huge disappointment to me because I had a overall good experience with this place until I realized what they did with the credit checks. I was planning on writing a great review until this was discovered. I am a reasonable person and willing to discuss this matter so feel free to reach out to me regarding this matter.

My husband and I had a horrible experience with Dodge of Winter Haven. We live in Winter Haven and decided to take our car to this dealership for service. We usually do not use this dealership, however because of convenience of the location we chose it for a recall service and to get an oil change/tire rototion for the cost of $59.00. While at the dealership, we asked if we needed new tires because we had noticed the car was not driving as it had and it had been 25,000 miles since we had last purchased tires. We were told we did need new tires, however there was no urgency to this. We were given a written estimate for new tires. The car was serviced and the tires were rotated during this service. Only 2 hours after this service, I began driving down the highway toward Bartow . When the car would hit speeds of 50 mph or higher, the car would shake uncontrollably. I stopped at Tom Edwards Dodge in Bartow and explained that I had the car serviced earlier that day. My car was raised and I was shown my tires. The tires that were originally on the rear of the vehicle had been rotated to the front by Winter Haven Dodge. Both of these tires were bald on the inside of the tire to include medal protruding. I was told it was imperative I receive new tires because it was unsafe to drive the car in this condition. If we would have been told this and shown the tires at Winter Haven Dodge we would have gotten the tires that day from them. Winter Haven Dodge lost $958 for tires that I later paid to Tom Edwards Dodge . Winter Haven Dodge has also lost me as a customer! I would not recommend Winter Haven Dodge. They allowed us to continue to drive on tires that could have caused an accident if we hit a rock. They took the tires off the rear of the vehicle and put them back on the front of the vehile without telling us of their condition. This caused the vehicle to drive irratically to the point where I could not continue to drive on the highway. Most times when you go to a dealership for service you are bombarded by things they would recommend you should have done to your car. In this case, Winter Haven Dodge failed to notify us of a life threatening issue that even this novice car owner could clearly see was a safety issue that needed to be rectified immediately.
