Dear @MYM... Please learn how to write a darned sentence IF you expect your review to have a positive impact for Vision Electronics. Although, in light of the stupidity displayed by them, Vision Electronics should be pleased to know there are still a few Rubes out there to make a buck off of... I called them 12-30-2011 to find out if the had a replacement lamp cartridge for a 50" Mitsubishi DLP television. I was told... "We dont carry them, but I can order one for you. Itll cost you around $150 plus shipping." Please bear in mind that the taco-chomper that I was speaking with was not aware that I had already contacted Mitsubishi directly, and was quoted a price of $99 plush S&H (a total of $129.) When I told the guy what Mitsubishis price was, he responded "Well, you want to watch the game today - dont you...?" First of all, I never mentioned a game, so I dont know what Paco was even talking about. When I said "No, Im just trying to get the lamp replaced on my TV...", he then told me "We dont have any NEW ones, but I may have a USED one I can sell you." At this point, it was pretty clear what a rip-off Vision Electronics had the potential to be, so I decided to play "the ignorant customer role" for a minute and get a laugh for my wasted time. So, I asked Paco the taco muncher "How much for a used bulb...?", to which he replied "I can sell you one for $100, but I obviously cant warranty the bulb......." My reply was: "So.... Let me make sure I understand what youre saying... You dont have any new ones, but youll happily make $50 off of me, for simply calling Mitsubishi and ordering one, OR... Youll gladly sell me a lamp only intended to last 3,000 hours, but you dont know how old it is, for the same price as a brand new warranteed lamp...? Am I getting that much right so far?" His reply: "Yeah, thats about all I can do for you... Or you could just call Mitsubishi back and wait 5-7 business days... You know - were just trying to make a living here too." Un-frickin-believable....! On top of all of this lunacy, Paco finished our conversation with "Why did you call us IF you already knew how much Mitsubishi charged for one?" My reply was honest, and what seemed pretty obvious to me... "I was only hoping to get a replacement lamp quicker than the 5-7 business days the manufacturer could get it to me within." Of course I expected to pay some sort of mark-up to get the replacement quicker. I just didnt expect to be quoted a mark-up of $50 for a $100 replacement lamp (disregarding the additional S&H they were marking up too.) I also didnt expect to be quoted the FULL price (of a NEW lamp) for an old, used, replacement lamp that they also wouldnt stand behind. Im just thrilled I didnt spend a single penny at a company that obviously cares about their profit margin. Theyre obviously NOT concerned about establishing "repeat business" - just a prisoner of the moment want to take advantage of the customer. Only two further words of advise to others: BUYER BEWARE...!

I dont know what the deal is with this bad review, although i do see more older bad reviews that newer one but anyway. These people are fantastic, the staff is outstanding, not only professional but they do care about the little money left in your pocket. I took 2 tv overther and they were upfront with me, one of them was not even worth it to repair due to the cost of the part, mother board, so they not only said it was cheaper to buy a new one but they also told me good places to buy new tv and which brands will be the best. in regards to the other one, lg 32lcd if someone needs to know, i did get it repair for $120 and they even offered me to get the bad parts replaced. I do have to say though that it took them a good 12 days to repair it, but common people if you want to pay cheap you gotta stick to the old ground shipment, etc. Whoever think they will get any service overnight for no money isnt living in this economy. Other than that I loved it, I loved them and I will continue recomending them

The service it actually sucks. I get a call to be at location for service 4 days in advance, between 12 and 4 pm, I wait and wait, and wait and wait. Not a single phone call. I decided to call BEST BUY since they are responsable party that called them for service on my TV. Best Buy tells me that they dont have the part and I will have to wait another week or so. After taking day off from work now I have I have to loose another day when they get the part uf they they gat the part. Professionals of what? Of UNPROFESSIONALS. Good luck to you if BEST BUY tells you that this company will service your tv you are in deep S.....T.

Poor workmanship!! I had my Samsung DLP 50" fixed there. Spent $335!!!! Only for the TV to break again 3 months later. Just found out the part that they charged me for was 0.30 cents!!!! Thanks to my Electronics Engineer friend who took apart my TV and has now fixed it for a meer fraction of the cost! DO NOT GO HERE!
