I am military and have used Geek Squad all over the country for small "assessments and quick fixes" for my computers. I am NOT in the least computer savvy. Never had an issue. I actually trusted this business. So I had no reservations when my mouse pad on my MacBook laptop was "sluggish" to take it here to Geek Squad for assessment. We live 120 miles from the closest Apple Store, so that was not an option at the time. Long story short (hundreds$, and a "professional" apple repair) It was concluded, that the "Geek Squad" connected my Mac to a PC and & destroyed the hard drive. Then, they covered it up. They lie. They cheat, and they will steal you BLIND. Please, dont be fooled. They have ZERO clue what they are doing, and they will have NO qualms about flaunting your ignorance when they insist you sign a disclaimer (waiver) that states they have no responsibility after they ruin your property (they actually allowed my 15 year old Son to sign because I had him drop off my computer, it was Summer vaca and I had to work. Think they "explained" to HIM what he was signing? I, (the responsible adult) NEVER SIGNED A WAIVER....If your wondering, yes, it stands up in court. They cheat and lie... and you PAY them...its brilliant. Back up? haha. Yeah. Thats not an option here, you can ask for a back up. BUT the tech has to connect your Mac to a Mac to transfer data.... not a PC. They OBVIOUSLY dont know that... and when they fry the hard drive, all your docs, pics, and apps. they will fall back on the "waiver" you signed. BUT, take heart! There is "hope" they will be happy to charge you a "minimum" of $600 to take it into a special room where they will TRY to unscramble what they scrambled..... Its actually perfect, it tears your guts out when you realize they destroyed your computer and everything on it, and you pay for it, and then they move on to their next victim. Some businesses value customers, and respect their property. Not here. They smirk and laugh when customers are in tears... (yeah, I cried when I realized my hard drive was ruined, the GM just smiled and said "thanks for coming in, have a great evening"). Please dont come here thinking they care at all about you, or their reputation. They dont. No INTEGRITY, no professionalism. No more business. If I could give this place a - score I would. Please run, dont walk away.

Worst Bestbuy EVER... Go to Harbison or 378... I spent appx. $2000 on a car audio system there, for my Taxi (for customer entertainment), and had them install it... Besides breaking multiple door panels, the installer "Rodney" tells me it will have poor performance, because it needs an extra battery to power it, however they do not sell or install the $300 battery I need. I purchase the Optima battery and go back to bestbuy where Rodney oversees my installation and says its correct... It doesnt fix the poor performance issue. They make 3 more attempts at fixing the proplem with no success. I then try other bestbuy locations, and am told the install the two notch store had done was ALL WRONG, the 378 store sets me up with an appointment at the Two Notch store to have everything removed and reinstalled. I also have a recording (youtube title: "Aubrey Port BESTLIE GM") of the Two Notch store GM (Aubrey Port) stating that they will honor this install. However once the installers tell him how much work is involved, he changes his mind, stating that adding the battery (that they told me I HAD TO BUY AND INSTALL TO MAKE THE SYSTEM WORK) voids my warranty. I call customer service and tell them that Aubrey knew about the battery, he says he will refund the installation. Aubrey then says I had burned, cut, and tangled the wires they installed, (378 and harbison bestbuy stores confirm this as a lie). The harbison store has already reinstalled everything free of charge, and properly installed the system (An extra battery was not required) and it works perfect and looks professional now. The Two Notch store had me banned from the property for telling customers there what happened to me. Aubrey Port is a LIAR and a con-artist. He has done this to others, your service plans, warranties, insurance, etc... means nothing to this man. He is only concened with how to take you for the most money he can. Both the Harbison and 378 stores in lexington are great in my experiences, read my review on the harbison stores page. I walked into the story ready to purchase a $300.00 camera. I was approached by a young sales man, told him I wanted a camera w/ macro. He said they had some but did not suggest one and just stood there, so I said let me look a minute. Then he and another employee proceeded to block the display discussing a camera one of them wanted to buy and totally ignored me. I heard the one guy tell the other, this one has a good macro. So why did he not tell me when I first said I wanted macro? I complained to the manager, said I would still buy the camera but not if the employees received a commission. The manager asked if they offered to assist me, I said at first. Then he said if I was buying the camera I had to buy it from them and kept saying they did offer to help didnt they? Seemed to think it was ok for them to block the display and shop for themselves. I told him I was leaving, that Best Buy was not the only store in town selling cameras and he said fine.I contacted customer service and the only reply I got was "thank you for your email." I purchased my camera online and then purchased two more cameras, and two WII and accessories. So the lack of customer service at Best Buy cost them around $2000.00 in immediate business and a lot more in future business. This was the Best Buy on Two Notch Rd in Columbia SC.

Short story: bait and switch. Long story: I selected a TV, Samsung 65" 4K curved UHD, and then asked the sales associate if they priced matched. He ask to see price so I showed him on my iphone, complete with item available nearby (that Best Buy) for 550.00 more. He verified tv and said YES they would price match. I did not have credit card with me since I wasnt shopping to buy tv that day but for a future date. Since this great deal was availablei decided I wanted it and asked if I could run home and get cc and be right back. He said he would hold tv for me in the back until I got back with credit card. I ran home and picked up the cc, drove back to Best Buy and waited patiently for him to finish with his customer. Another associate brought the TV to the front and said they could go ahead and check me out. I thanked the first young man for his assistance and proceeded to check out with the new sales associate. I told him about the price match and the promise from the previous sales associate and he said he couldnt do that. They only price match 4 or 5 select websites. That is fine except that is not was I was previously told. I wouldnt have driven 30 minutes (home and back) with a bored 4 year old and waited patiently for another 20 minutes if they wouldnt have promised me that deal.
