I do not even know where to begin with my review on Vernon Auto Sales. They were by far the WORST used car dealership I have ever come across. First off, I had been dealing with Jason by phone for a week before coming to take a look at the vehicle. When I arrived he didnt even have the decency to come out and introduce himself to me. He sent another worker with the keys out and had me look at the vehicle like as is they didnt even care. Secondly, The pictures were highly in accurate. Seeing the vehicle in person had me completely mortified. It was NOT everything it said out to be. There were scratches on every aspect of the vehicle, touch up paint on the corner panels and grill of the front bumper. A fog light was cracked the rear bumper needed to be completely re-painted. The rearview mirrors color paint did not match the rest of the vehicle. The rims looked as if someone was purposely driving on curbs. Now this is just the outside of the vehicle. The interior of the vehicle was TERRIBLE !!! The key remote does not unlock the vehicle form the outside so I had to physically use the key to unlock the driver door. The inside of the car had a horrible smell to it. The leather was in such poor condition there was a HUGE rip on the driver side upper arm area of the leather seat. I was with my family at the time of viewing so when my aunt asked to unlock the back doors to take a look thats when I realized the unlock buttons on the inside of the vehicle didnt work either. I didnt even bother to test drive the vehicle thats how upset I was. On top of everything the car was FILTHY as if they never wash it. There had to have been at least a inch or more of dirt and dust sitting on the vehicle. When both my uncle and I approached Jason on how poor of the condition the vehicle was in he acted as if he truly did not care. He had no remorse or sympathy at the fact that we just came over an hour away and told us " PICTURES DO NOT DIFFER THE PRICE, I DO NOT TKAE THE PICTURES " . He was completely unprofessional, rude, carless, un courteous, and all the above of a salesman. I HIGHLY & EXTREMELY do not recommend anyone shopping from this place.

IF I COULD GIVE NO STAR I WOULD OF!!!!!!!! I have actually never wrote a review on a business before but i felt that this is needed. I went to this dealer with the intentions to buy one of their cars on the lot ( 09 Nissian MAX) I took this car on a test drive and fell in love with the vehicle. When i went inside i spoke with one of the owners ( didnt even introduce himself) and advised i wanted to purchase the vehicle. I was told i needed a co signer which i already knew and had one with perfect credit whom was willing to come down the same day. When i asked to put a deposit down on the vehicle the owner would not let me, he said we are a different kind of dealer ship and do not take down deposits. He didnt want to take my money cause he didnt have an approval. When i had my co signer do the credit app he noticed how great of credit she had, BUT the car had a deposit down on it (i was denied a deposit). Next thing you know the car was SOLD! I called all weekend for this car and no answer!!!! The owner called me and said he was going to the auction to find me the same car ( now he wanted my business) he called back and had no where close to what i wanted. Plain and simple he might have good reviews on his car but he is ONLY ABOUT MONEY!!!!!!!!! Does not care about his customers. STAY AWAY IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED WITH RESPECT!

I had the best experience at Vernon Auto. I spent about 2 days visiting at least a dozen dealerships looking for a car after mine was totaled. The contrast between Vernon Auto and all the rest is night and day. At least 90% of the salesmen I met had also “just totaled” their own car. They’ll say anything to appear relatable and suck you in. I was fed up with humanity by the time I rolled into Vernon Auto. I started walking around the lot expecting the sharks to begin circling. It never happened. For the first time, I was able to look around at the vehicles for sale in peace. When I found some things I liked I went in and talked to Jason. He was great. He wasn’t “selling cars”, he was offering cars for sale. He tossed me the keys and said, “take it for a ride and come back when you’re done”. It was nice to be able to check out the cars without someone in my ear trying to make a sale. On top of all that, the prices are great. I mean REALLY great. All the other dealerships were asking $1500+ for their comparable vehicles. AND, the vehicles come with a better warrantee, roadside assistance, oil changes and discounted repairs if anything happens within a year of purchase. You won’t find that kind of service at other dealerships. I recommend Vernon Auto to anyone looking to buy a used vehicle. Thank you, Jason, I love my Subaru!

I love my 2003 Mazda Tribute I bought from them in June and everyone is super nice...... HOWEVER...a few weeks after I bought it, the brakes were squeeking horribly. They made up some story about them being new and they "sanded" down the glaze on the brakes so they wouldnt squeek any more. I have NEVER heard of such a thing. REALLY?? well...they still squeek, but not as bad. Then I had to have the ignition coil replaced, so I spent $195 on that while I was on vacation!! Then I hear a ticking noise, and NOW I find out I need a whole new exhaust system that could cost up to $1600 (a quote from another garage he sent me to)! So, now the owner here tells me he can try to do it alot cheaper and help me with the cost...but now has no mechanic and to keep checking back to see if he found someone. Well...I think NOT!! I am not giving him any more of my money! I am bringing it elsewhere and counting my losses. Maybe Ill send him the bill. I am not happy!!

We purchased a Nissan Sentra a year ago because Vernon Auto Sales is a USAA authorized dealer. The process of buying it was simple and Jason was very friendly. The problems started less than a year later when we learned that the car had numerous issues because of shoddy repair jobs that are typical of used car dealers. The rotors are pitted and have abrasive surfaces, but rather than replace the rotors, the dealer simply put on brake pads - a cheap, temporary fix. Also, the exhaust pipe has a hole that was replaced with a cheap sleeve to cover up the problem. This means we will have to pay for a new exhaust pipe soon. There is also a broken motor mount which is a safety issue. None of these were disclosed. I cant be certain that the repairs to mask the problems were done at this dealership, but they certainly would have been aware of and should have disclosed them. Before purchasing here, take the car to a reputable mechanic and get a second opinion.
